Lemon Water for Afternoon Energy

Mama to Many (TN) on 06/30/2022
5 out of 5 stars

In the afternoons I have been making myself a 24-ounce tumblerful of lemon water. At first it was just because I need to drink more water and lemon is good for you. But I started noticing that when the afternoon energy slump hit, the lemon water seemed to really pick me up, even better than a cup of coffee. I thought, "Surely it is my imagination, " but the results have been consistent enough that I am convinced that it true.

Here is the "recipe;" I use a plastic juicer thing to squeeze all of the juice out of one lemon into my 24-ounce tumbler. I add as much ice as I want and water. Sometimes I add some stevia and/or a sprig of fresh mint. (The stevia makes it into a lemonade! )

In the winter, I may use this recipe but add hot water instead of ice and cold water. Perhaps I will include a tea bag and make it a lemon-y herbal tea. (Because I love hot drinks in the winter and shy away from cold ones.)

I hope it helps you, too!

Hydrogen Peroxide Drops in Water for Energy

Hi, I drink 10x drops of food grade in a glass of tap water, sometimes I would down 2x glasses with 10 drops each depending on how I feel. Gives me a nice boost as well. My mother inlaw drinks 5ml in a glass for cancer treatment coupled with ozone therapy. I tried 5ml but it is too strong for me..

I would suggest people use what works best for you. Your body knows best...listen to it.

Dill Pickle High

Marie (Nashville) on 08/21/2018

Instead of apple cider vinegar, which I hate the taste of, I eat a few small dill pickles a day. My husband made a comment a few weeks ago that my skin was glowing. I had eaten 5 small dill pickles as a snack in the afternoon instead of cookies (yeah, hmmm). My energy was very high all afternoon and evening. How funny! We both laughed. I went online to find out more and found out that pickles are alkalizing, obviously from the vinegar and this helps circulation. And they cure acid reflux if anyone is interested. You can just drink the pickle juice. Now I eat a few pickles every day in the afternoon as a pick me up. Try it please and let me know.

Niacin, Iodine and Salt Water Cured Low Energy

Niacin and salt water for energy

Niacin is used by the body to synthesize NAD which in turn is used to synthesize ATP the main cellular energy storage/carrier. Deficiency of niacin can also manifest as pellagra.

A couple of years ago, I started to feel tired all the time. After reading books by Dr. Brownstein on the importance of salt (not table salt but Celtic or Himalayan) and iodine, I started taking a tablespoon of sole (salt water solution) first thing in am with 8 oz of water and iodine. This probably gave me back 80% of my lost energy. After I started supplementing with 250 mg of niacin (not the flush free version) my energy was totally back. I recommend reading "niacin the real story". Niacin and iodine are probably the 2 most powerful and effective supplements you can take for energy and hormonal functioning.

The power of niacin is quite miraculous and can cure arthritis (niacinamide 1500 mg 2x a day with 1000 mg vit c) depression, schizophrenia, addiction, high cholesterol etc.

Dead Sea Salts Baths Can Help Counter Low Energy Levels

Dave (Fountain Inn, Sc) on 10/23/2015

Here's a recommendation for low energy levels:

Dead Sea Salts Baths...

I use them for helping with energy levels by resupplying minerals to the body. I use a cup per bath. Also good is Epsom Salts which is Magnesium Sulfate but the Dead Sea Salts supplies an array of minerals. Actually I use both. One could mix them in the same bath.

The reason such baths are beneficial is that in this contemporary world of depleted soils from lack of crop rotation and allowing fields to lay fallow on a regular basis, I believe we have deficient levels of minerals and vitamins in our diets. So supplementation of both minerals and vitamins may be needed.

I can tell a definite difference in energy levels when I incorporate mineral baths into a health system. Oh...where to buy. Online. And also I have found large containers in the vitamin section at Whole Foods. I suspect Trader Joe's would also carry.

Immediate Results Using Apple Cider Vinegar for Low Energy and Depression

Teilyn (Oliver Springs, Tn, Usa) on 02/12/2013

I tried ACV for the first time yesterday. I had heard about it years ago and thought "geez, vinegar, people are crazy. " As the years went by, health problems occurred. I felt very blah everyday. I became very sad and depressed and just chalked it up as part of getting older. I figured that with a heart condition, high blood pressure, Interstitial cystitis, ovarian and breast cysts, that I was just supposed to feel this way. I came down with a bad viral that came on suddenly a few days ago. I felt like every condition I had, had tripled and my body was going to just give up. I was so desperate. I went to the DR. But since it was a viral, he couldn't do anything except to advise me to wait it out and drink plenty of liquid. It didn't help. I decided to try the ACV after remembering it when I stumbled across your site yesterday. I had ONE dose of it and felt 70% better within the hour. I cried. I really and truly cried, because I realized that all of a sudden. I REALLY felt better. I, just for some reason, felt happy (I didn't know that was a real feeling anymore). I felt less achy and my body (especially my bladder) felt SO much better. Today I have had more of the ACV and I have been bouncing around and feeling so cheerful and just giddy. My husband has been staring at me, (wondering if I have finally lost it probably), but he has been so happy to be able to cut up with me like we used to when we were younger. I really think this site and ACV saved my life. I really had given up and was just waiting for my time. I truly was as sad as that is to say. I had set into a frame of mind and that was that. I am SO happy that I was WRONG! Bless your site and bless all of you!

Apple Cider Vinegar for Low Energy

Chris (Los Angeles, California) on 04/29/2009

I've been drinking apple cider vinegar daily for three years. I mix 2 tablespoons of acv and a pinch of stevia powder in a tall mug with distilled water. I use the stevia because I don't want to add more sugar to my diet and I find stevia to be an excellent natural sweetener. I drink this every morning and I don't mind the taste at all. I've had more energy since I began drinking this tonic, and I've also had fewer colds. Before acv, I thought my low energy was just normal and I always envied people who had a lot of energy. But after a month of drinking acv everyday, I started to feel, well, brighter, and more full of life. Even my moodiness evened out, and I began to feel happier for no apparent reason other than that I was drinking acv. I now know that the low energy I was feeling before was not normal at all. Whatever skeptical people may say, I absolutely stand behind my acv tonic, and I can honestly say that it's given me new life. I'm so glad to have stumbled onto it. It's changed my life!

B Complex for Low Energy

Laura (Honolulu, Hi) on 03/19/2009
5 out of 5 stars

I have low energy- I just lack a certain vitality. So last year I did some research and found that b vitamins are what I'm lacking within my body for adequate energy. I take one or two everyday and so far it's helped a bundle. I prefer to stay hydrated and I also oil pull and drink ACV. However, for low energy I can take just one vitamin b complex and it gives me what I need. The other two are boosters to it's good effects. I also heard these can be a little hard on your kidneys, so I take a day or two off them a month to help my kidneys out.. :)

Coconut Oil for Low Energy

Coconut oil for low energy: I like to spread a little coconut oil (extra virgin) on some wheat toast in the morning, it tastes great, it seriously tasted like toast with butter. I actually have two pieces, it gives me the energy of my usual 2 shots of espresso, without the jitters!! Start out with very little though, until you know how much you can tolerate, because it can cause your heart to race if you have too much, usually just a tbsp is recomennded...

Apple Cider Vinegar Raised Energy Levels

I have been using ACV for about 2 weeks. I use to need naps all the time after work. My energy level is very high now. Tried different pills, wheat grass, etc. Nothing worked. ACV works. I take 2 tblspoons 3 x a day in 8 ounces of water. I either take it with a meal, before or after. Doesn't matter. Great energy. I drink it with a straw to prevent enamel decay-then rinse with water. I love it. I want to thank you people on this site. You are a Godsend.

Apple Cider Vinegar Feedback

After reading so many YEAS on EC about the overall benefits of ACV, I tried it (and made my family try it too). I put about a tablespoon in herbal tea with honey. It definitely increased my energy just that one time, but I actually got very uncomfortable heartburn afterward. I'm not sure if it was because of the tea or the ACV or the combination.

Wow...I've noticed a big increase in my energy since taking ACV for a month. My mother used to use it years ago and I simply forgot about how great it is. I also have been slowly losing weight too. If you can't stand taking it in water, try V8 juice or tomato juice..very good. Thanks Earthclinic!

I started taking ACV for 3 weeks about 3 months ago without baking soda and it was fantastic, cleaned my whole system, having lots of energy, no pain, weight loss and etc. I am taking AVC+Baking soda now but it seems I don't get the same result as before, am I doing anything wrong here?????. However I recommend it to EVERYONE to please try it for at least 2 weeks , 3 times a day. 2 TBS in a cup of water upon rising, mid morning and mid afternoon. I thank Earth clinic for this site.

I think Oil Pulling is one of the best ENERGYremedies around. When I do it for at least 2 days in a row, my energy level goes through the roof! I am quite convinced now that (though no proof, of course) that oil pulling energizes the kidney meridians, much like an acupuncture treatment. I usually suffer from cold hands and feet in cooler weather and the acupuncturist that I had several sessions with last winter told me it was because my kidney chi was weak. Thus he focused the needles in the kidney meridians. Sure enough my fingertips turned from ash white to a nice pink color, as did my face. Well, the same thing happens every time I do an oil pulling session with sunflower oil first thing in the morning. More blood circulates to my hands and feet and my energy level also increases tremendously. So much so that I sometimes have a hard time going to sleep at night (2:00am and I am counting sheep!) Some other people at Earth Clinic also reported a rise in energy levels after OP-ing, so there's something to this theory... I think...

I was having a terrible time feeling exhausted all the time and at that time of the month for us women, I was irritable and uncomfortable. My Chinese herbalist kept telling me had to strengthen my blood but nothing was working Then I read about rosehip tea. It has a super high iron content and heaps more vitamin C than oranges. Apparently in times gone by, women used to drink it to keep them going during their menstrual cycles. So after a few days of tdrinking one cup of tea per day, I felt better and more energetic. I didn't add sugar or honey so it was quite tart to the taste, but that didn't matter to me. My advice is if you're going to add a sweetener, use Stevia instead of sugar (lower GI) or Manuka honey so you get the benefit of the antibacterial agents. I've recently started a new fitness regime of just walking and even after an hour up and down hills, I feel tired, but not exhausted and I wake up refreshed and raring to go the next day. I credit the rosehip tea with this. Now I can't wait until my cycle is upon me so I can keep feeling good and energised instead of depressed, tired and cranky.

I read about using Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) for relief from a vaginal/bladder infection on this site. Since I only have major catastrophic medical insurance, paying out of pocket for a doctor's visit was something I wanted to avoid. I had tried 2 rounds of an over the counter treatment, and still had the infection. Therefore, I tried to drink the 2 tsp / 8 oz water with honey mix that was talked about on this site. Yet, I couldn't get past the first few sips. It was so gross tasting to me!!! So instead, I grabbed a tall drinking shot glass, mixed my 2 tsp of ACV with a little water and some honey and took it in drinking shot form - chased (followed) by a glass of water. Much easier! About 2 hours later, the shakey weird burning urge to pee pain of the infection was really dumbed down - I was so amazed how quickly it worked! I continued this treatment 2 times a day (one right before bed), and my infection is now completely gone three days later. However, I'm not about to stop taking this mix each day. The other benefits of the ACV mix are amazing. My energy levels are really good, my mood is good (I have been depressed lately) and I've had some really great hair days since it is so healthy and soft feeling. Even my skin is softer without blemishes. I've been on this mix for 2 weeks, lost 3 lbs without doing a thing too. For anyone thinking about trying this, you can't lose. It is natural, and just trying it for a few days was all I needed to be hooked for life. I only do my shot once a day now, since the infection is gone. Overall, I wanted to write to let you know a new way to take your ACV that works for me in case you also can't stand drinking it down. Possibly try it in a drinking shot glass with less water, but just be sure to have that water chaser afterwards so your throat and tooth enamel aren't hurt by the more potent levels of the ACV in your mouth. Typically a shot doesn't reside on your teeth anyway, so it possibly could even be a better way to take it. I'm not sure, but it definitely works for me. Good luck!
