So here is the way I use BHT. It is the 2nd ingredient in an aerosol can of jock itch spray. I have used it directly on a cold sore and watched the cold sore heal within hours if reapplied several times within a few hours and not drinking lots of liquids so as to dry it up. I have used it systematically by applying it on the inside of both wrists and it works this way too. I also spray it on my little finger of my left hand and this also promotes all over body healing.

If I spray it on my feet for athletes feet, the fungus and or virus whichever is at the time starting the itching and soreness and I do have both, MOVES up to the mouth area and I am stuck with a cold sore. If I get this stuff as I have on the fronts of my lower legs, I can use it there and it works to kill it there but also does not cause the infection to move to other areas. It dries out my lips to a degree and literally stops the reaction from my body.

I know you may think this is all ridiculous but it is the truth. The active ingredient in this is Tolnaftate 1% then alcohol, then BHT so I guess it may be the 3rd ingredient. All I know is this combo works so well at detoxing me and clearing viruses and fungus that I wanted to tell you about it. It does work to put it on the skin rather than take it internally for me. I assume the alcohol is a great carrier of it and of course has benefits of killing surface germs as well. So I will continue to use this the way I do because it doesn't harm me at all and clearly works throughout my entire body without the risk of taking too much. I only use it when I need to. I always find it to work.
