I tried oil pulling for a toothache and to my amazement, it worked.

I used Olive Oil 3 times a day and in 3 days my pain was completely gone.

I am continuing the process for further healing.

Cheers

I had the worst tooth ache on Tuesday night of this week. So, swished my mouth with 3% hydrogen peroxide. It didn't do anything for pain, so I ended up taking two tylenol to sleep. Wednesday morning the tooth ache woke me up around 7am. So, after getting my self started for the day, swishing with the hydrogen peroxide and brushing my teeth. I took 2 more tylenol and searched for a dentist online. Found one who could see me after work at 10pm.

Of course I didn't think about the cost until a little after arriving to work at 1. I took 2 more tylenol at 2 and then 7. I ended up canceling the appt. as I didn't have enough cover the cost and I refuse to get the credit option they gave me. By the time I got off work at 9:30 I was like okay we have to try something else cause I knew the pain would be back soon. So, when I got home I swished with hydrogen peroxide, a hour later oil pulled with organic virgin coconut oil and brushed my teeth. Around 2:30am the pain was coming so I took 2 more Tylenol. I slept well and my alarm woke me up a 9am. I was happily surprised to not have any pain in my tooth, however my left cheek was swollen and tender to the touch.

I swished with hydrogen peroxide and brushed my teeth and I just knew that it was working. As the day went on the tenderness and swelling decreased. I didn't take any tylenol all day. Yeah!!! I'm home and I oil pulled after dinner. An hour later I swished hydrogen peroxide and brushed my teeth. I know tomorrow the swelling and tenderness will be practically gone. I'm so glad to no longer be in mind numbing pain and that Mother Nature has taken care of me once again. I plan to keep following this protocol until the pain and swelling are gone. I have a dented appointment at the beginning of the month, hoping to have pulled all of the infection out by then so all they have to do is pull or fix this broken tooth. I will keep you posted!!

I also tried oil pulling with garlic. However, I was getting too burned by chopped up garlic and being the wussy I am, I opted for some organic garlic powder instead. I used coconut oil (enough to swish around in your mouth) and just poured some garlic powder on it and mixed it together until the oil was the yellow garlic color. I oil pull for at least 20 minutes at a time. The more often I do it, the more effective. I really just need to get this cavity fixed, but in the meantime, this has brought much relief.

Oil Pulling for tooth pain. My husband has been suffering from tooth pain (nerve pain) due to a cavity under a current filling. One trip to the dentist and they removed the filling and drilled out the cavity and replaced the filling. Over the counter meds were not touching the pain. He rarely slept for 2 days. I had him swish with peroxide and ACV with just a slight reduction in pain but it did not last more than a few minutes. I also had him use Clove oil and this only worked for about 10 mins. Then on to pressure points in his hands and face but still nothing. As a last ditch effort I had him take a tsp of organic virgin cold pressed cocconut oil and oil pull for 20 mins. He game back in in a great mood since it was the first time in 3 days he wasn't in pain. I just wanted to let others know this worked for my husband and is worth a try for tooth pain!!!

Thank you earth clinic for an amazing community!

I did a combination of oil pulling and a clove of finely chopped garlic and pulled the combo for ten min. I did this three times day one and 95% of the pain and swelling was gone. Today I woke up and plan on doing it two more times just to make sure that I knock out the balance oc any infection that may be left. I was shocked at how effective this was and really excited to share with all of you. So next time you have a tooth ache try this method to see if it is as effective for you as it was for me. Not only did my pain go away but my teeth are cleaner and my breath could knock a buzzard off a sh-- wagon

I tried everything for toothache, cloves, garlic etc. The only thing that worked for me was oil pulling with coconut oil. The effect was instant and my teeth ending up shining white after a few days!

Every time now I feel a twitch of a toothache, I get straight in there and use the coconut oil.

I have been swishing with coconut oil several times a week. Two benefits I have noticed is 1->my yellow canine teeth have whitened considerably (I have tried without success bleaching, baking soda and peroxide, etc). 2->My sensitivity in my teeth have decreased dramatically. I have not been able to keep the coconut oil in for more than 10 minutes so far because my jaws seem to get so tired and I have such a desire to cough from the congestion it seems to pull from my sinuses, I always end up spitting it out after 10 mins or less. I also only do the swishing 3 or 4 times a week (due to forgetfulness). I am hoping to work my way up to the 20 mins every day because of the positive effects on my teeth.

I just discovered this site today, but wanted to share my experience. I read about oil pulling two months ago and thought it would be good to try for painful tooth that 3 dentists gave me 3 different diagnoses on. Bought a large bottle of pure sesame oil and pulled three mornings in a row with one tablespoon of oil. On the third day I noticed I had a slight sore throat. Two days later that was followed by what appeared to be the flu for four days (I now know that was the Herkximer reaction). The curious thing is I had no fever or digestive compliants the entire time of said "flu" - bad nasal congestion, eyes hurt like a headache and horrible coughing. When it was over I noticed that I was able to chew on the left side of my mouth which I had not been able to do for a few months! Was it the oil pulling? I seriously suspect so. If you were a bad microbe and could not produce your own food, where would you choose to live in the human body? Close to where the food comes in, right?
