It was by God's grace that I came across this thread whilst searching for home remedies for excessive bleeding. I tried 1 tsp in a mug of water thrice a day and miraculously the flow reduced by 80% and had a restful sleep 💤😴 What a relief! Just wondering if anyone here has found or has suggestions for naturally shrinking fibroids? If so please do let know🙏

Apple Cider Vinegar for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

One more thankful person (43 yrs) for this site and the dear reviewers added to the list. ACV is truly miracle.

Whatnot had I tried! I had been facing a problem of heavy bleeding for 3 years, restricting me to home for most times. I was struggling with very low hb, taking IV, iron supplements and then many ways to manage the trouble my fibroids were causing.

When I bled, it bled like it's never gonna stop. I took all sorts of medicines.. mainstream, alternate but with very limited success.
And then as luck would have it as with so many others, I stumbled upon this site vouching for ACV. I religiously took 1 tablespoon everyday for a month and here I am. On the fifth day with very much regulated cycle when I was expecting it to be a big pain.

Minimal pain and no restriction at home. It was a bit heavy on the second day where I exerted a bit too much. Once I relaxed and resumed my daily routine, I was able to set out for grocery et al shopping and spent a few hours outdoors without any hassle. I did take it slow but no fear the way I dreaded leaving home in the past even for a couple of minutes.

Am so emotional that I can't even believe that it is working for me!! Go for it ladies!

The sole caution..please make sure you start slow with ACV and then increase dosage gradually especially if you get acidity and take care to drink lots of water with it to protect enamel.

Thank God!!!

I found this website and read the posts here. I was very eager to stop my heavy period because I don't want to loose so much blood. I took ACV right a way and after 2-3 days my heavy bleeding stops. I still take it twice a day half teaspoon in a cup for more than a week now. Hope others will find this helpful.

Thanks everyone for all your posts!

It worked for me!

Apple Cider Vinegar for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

I have started consuming Apple Cider Vinegar since 30 days ago (so happened one day before my menstrual started). Did not consume it at first due to heavy menstrual flow but just for the overall benefits of it.

To my surprise during my last menstrual which always have been crazy with heavy flow on second day (10-15 pads/day), my second day flow reduced by 70-80%. Menstrual was more constant in flow and ended in 5 days (which was my norm). Since then I have been consuming Apple Cider Vinegar approx. 2 teaspoon wt 150ml water in the morning on empty stomach and 2 tablespoons wt 200ml water half an hour before dinner. Now came the second month exactly 29 days since my first day of my previous menstrual. I always have 25 or 26 days of menstrual cycle but this is my first time to have it after 29 days. Throughout my menstrual I did noticed that I did not have my regular premenstrual headaches and bloatedness. I did not have my regular lower back pain which travels down to my feet during the second day. Due to the much lesser flow, I slept better. There was also no discharge before and after menstrual. Btw, I am 45 years old and have been having heavy flow for about 4-5 years. For the past 3 years I have been diagnosed with very low red blood count due to very low iron. Have been taking iron tablets but to no avail. Have taken my full blood test 45 days ago and will have it check again after this month's menstrual cycle. Curious to know if Apple Cider Vinegar helps in the aspect of my red blood count as I am not losing so much blood now. But definitely it has helped with menstrual flow and all the achy stuff that comes with it. So far happy bout it.

Pineapple, Lemon for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Marisa (MA) on 12/24/2021

Hello,

I wanted to share my story in hopes that it will help someone.

For almost a year, I struggled with long periods, about 4 to 5 weeks at a time. I had about 2 weeks in between these long periods. I experienced flooding and went through bags of pads. I'm 50, But the doctor didn't want to diagnose me as perimenopausal, even though tests showed my Progesterone was very low.

I tried many remedies but one here at Earth Clinic caught my attention: juicing lemons and pineapples. I used my Vitamix to juice fresh lemons, grapefruits, oranges, carrots, and apples. Not only that, I added some of the Rinds and piths of the grapefruits and lemons in my juice. I drank about 1/2 to 1 cup a day. The juice is a
Little bitter but tolerable. Sometimes, I added a small beet. I also took a daily iron ferrochel biglyscinate plus Ancestral Supplements beef liver. The result is a night and day difference. This month my period was about 6 days, with flooding on just 1 to 2 days.

I quit my B complex 50 because it caused my heart to race. I had difficulty sleeping but I don't experience that anymore since I quit the B complex. Please share my experience...maybe it will help someone. Thank you.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Weight Loss Eased Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

S (Rome, GA) on 12/24/2021

I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar for weight loss reasons. So I had been taking 2 tbsp 2x a day a week before my cycle. When my cycle started I noticed that my cycle was very light. So I looked it up and sure enough, it said it can help with heavy bleeding PCOS. What a difference that made!!! Plus I stopped drinking alcohol for that time...I read that alcohol causes heavy bleeding too. So with both of these changes, my cycle was enjoyable. I hope this helps others!!

Cayenne Pepper for Heavy Bleeding (Update)

The teaspoon of cayenne will stop your bleeding immediately. I like putting it in a small amount of water just to get it down (like I do for baking soda when having heartburn) then you can drink as much water as you like. I was severely anemic and it was a close call.

Curry Leaf Tea for Heavy and Painful Menstruation

My pacific island friend complained of debilitating pain, heavy menses, here I use blackstrap molasses a tablespoon a day at the first inkling I am near, I knew it would be very difficult for her to find such a product. I looked into what she has around her and suggested she make a tea of fresh curry leaves. They're high in vitamins and minerals particularly iron. She made the tea and reported hours later that it helped so much with her pains she would take it every day of her period.

You don't need fancy herbs off the internet, look into what's around you. Eg all thistles, and that gardener's bane, couchgrass (root) all excellent for uti, yet usually overlooked.

Best to you.

Cinnamon for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Working

AN (Toronto, ON, Canada) on 07/09/2021

I had to change tampons and pads every hour in the last three days, with large blood clots, and I had heavy seven or more day periods all my life, sometimes twice per month or full months. I had been on the pill to regulate them but it made me gain weight, or just taking extra iron. I finally checked earthclinic and decided to try cinnamon, although not a fan of the taste - one teaspoon in a glass of juice or water, and works like a miracle, instantly, I didn't have to change a tampon in five hours, I will post again in a couple of days, purchased a couple of remedies recommended here but I intend to stick to cinnamon and liquid iron for a couple of days to see if it will stop it.

I read a post from another website, a lady said her natural doctor recommended an alternation of primrose oil and fish oil for hormone imbalance and that stopped it.

Sage leaf stops my period cold. I eat a small bunch of fresh leaves once a day or so during my period if i need it to lighten up. Like for going shopping or taking a walk. It tends to just shut down the whole process until the next month if i eat them every day of the period.

You have no idea how much this post and comments from others helped me this week. I am 45 and this is the first time in a year that I have not had heavy bleeding and clotting after drinking the AVC.

I had a cup days before my period as I was clearing mucus from a cold.

On my 1st day of heavy bleeding this month, I found this article.

The following day, I had training for a new job and was having anxiety over having to keep getting up or possibly having a leak through accident. Needless to say, I was "normal" this first week of training with no heavy bleeding and not going through extra pads and tampons each hour! Saving me money as well. I have had such a pleasant experience this time, if that makes sense LOL..

Thanks so much to all who posted, I hope this helps!

Friend had severe cramps and bleeding during her period, I suggested fennel and fenugreek, to be infused into a tea, this is what I use and it has reduced my duration from 7 to 4.5 days, and reduced bleeding and I don't have cramps any more.

She didn't have any of the ingredients so I suggested curry leaves, infused into a tea. She took a while to get back to me, but she went and got the leaves which took some time. Then the confirmation, about four hours after my advice. Cramps and pain gone, with a smiling emoji. I don't know if she did it again the next day, but I'm secure that she has the knowledge for next time.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

The problem began almost 2 years ago, it may have been a coincidence, but it was after I began drinking oregano tea.The menstrual blood was dark, thick and my periods changed. They became regular (had never happened) and they shortened but they were heavier. Went to several doctors, received no help and was diagnosed with various terminal illnesses that I ended up not having.

Fast forward to last month, the bleeding didn't stop. The periods arrived every 25 days and lasted for over a week. I was spotting and having clots as well. Of course, I was terrified. I couldn't see a doctor due to the pandemic, and so I decided to try remedies.

ACV worked immediately, but after 2 days, my stomach hurt a lot and I got acid reflux. I decided to stop and the bleeding came back.

I tried another remedy from here, cinnamon tea, and it worked magnificently for the bleeding (1/2 cinnamon stick boiled in 1 lt. of water, 1/2 a cup taken 3 times a day).

If I stop the cinnamon, the blood comes back. As for the stomach problems, I cannot eat anything slightly acidic or I get the pain and reflux again and it lasts for several days.

Dietary Changes for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Cat (Austin) on 07/30/2018

Had the same horrifying problem as another poster from 2010-- One week off period; 3 weeks on. Bled so much I soaked a cloth chair at a pizza joint. I've since hit menopause and don't have this worry at all BUT HERE WAS THE REMEDY FOR ME BACK THEN:.

1. NO CARBS: - no rice-potatoes-sugar--wheat/bread. Ate Meat/eggs/fish, salad or cooked veggies, 1 low carb snack daily of berries, cheese, or nuts. Secret: low carb and keto recipes on youtube

2. Took ACV (2 tsp wake-up / 2tsp bedtime w//pinch baking soda in 6oz water)

3. Upped water consumption to 2 liters per day

4. Exercise: I chose to do 5 Tibetan Rites for THAT year - excellent toning!

5. Desiccated Liver Capsule (grass-fed cattle) twice weekly.

The bleeding stopped in 4 days. The pain in my ovaries/uterus ended completely within 10 days. In 6 months, I lost 20 pounds with no loose skin and excellent toning.

I now believe it is a high carb, high sugar diet that is causing these horrifying symptoms in women and if your doctor can't help, try eliminating those high carb foods and sugar. Try it for 30 days. That at least costs you NOTHING!

Apple Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

B (Philadelphia ) on 06/27/2018
5 out of 5 stars

I had the same issue as many of the women with sudden heavy flooding, clots and a period that's won't seem to stop. No period at all in March(first time that ever happened ) April spotted, May had a period for a month. The heavy flooding and clotting started which scared me. I'm 47 and feel this is perimenopause. 1 T. ACV and teaspoon of (bsm) black strap molasses 3x day worked so fast and the clots and flooding stopped. I'm still spotting but can handle that.

This other site I was on said that I would have to keep doing this indefinitely in order to regulate my estrogen, hormones and thin the lining of the uterus. I'm afraid If I would stop doing this will it go back to heavy flooding and clots. Has anyone ever used Apple cider vinegar and BSM to help with this problem and then stopped? Have any of the people that have used these two remedies for any length of time, have you had any problems?

Love to hear from the people who posted in here years ago as to their outcomes. I would be grateful to hear your story. Thank you.

Blackstrap Molasses Stopped Nonstop Light Menstrual Bleeding

I have been experiencing light vaginal bleeding every day for two months. Today I decided to add a tablespoon of molasses to my ginseng tea and within the hour I felt that I wasn't bleeding anymore, checked and it was true! I wasn't expecting it and nor did I take add the molasses for this issue. I simply had a "taste" for it for some reason and pulled the jar out of the back shelf of the pantry. I am going to continue adding it to my various herbal tea (I normally do not add sweetner) to see if the issue continues to cease.
