Colic was cured in my infant by letting her drink cold tap water out of a silver spoon. I did not have a silver spoon so I used a stainless steel spoon. She would cry for hours, it seemed, pulling her leg to her tummy, acting hungry, but refusing to eat. Her stomach was also rock hard. I would turn on the tap water and let it get cold and hold the spoon to her mouth while she was sitting up. She would suck the water out of the spoon and belch, get the hiccups and go to sleep. This remedy worked every time! I was on city water at this time, and would not recommend it for well water. It doesn't matter what size spoon, but I used a teaspoon.
