Ness (London) on 12/06/2025:
Gluten Free Diet For Chilblains
I've just discovered the connection between chilblains and gluten. I'm astonished that it's not written about. For decades I've avoided wheat and gluten and never suffered from chilblains, even in the harshest of winters. It's only recently that I threw caution to the wind and started eating wheat and gluten again, and within two days my right index finger and hand have become red, swollen and itchy - typical chilblains.
It is a relief to find the cause but at the same time depressing to implement the cure, because a gluten free lifestyle is not easy.
