I've only been taking one small tablet most days for the last week because my right eye weakens now and then. I usually step its performance back up using NAC and fish broth, but I heard such good things last time about Vinpocetine I thought I'd try it myself.
T'is fantastic. My mind is sharper, not that I was fogged-up before, but I don't drink coffee/caffeine; I'm feeling the sharpness of mind.
My eye wasn't *that* bad, but I always recognised things got blurrier when I hit the sugar or alcohol (just in that eye) which isn't often. I'm in my late 40's and read a LOT in dim light. (My eyes aren't ruined yet Mother! ) I don't wear glasses either because there is no need.
One single week and though not 100% (or 20/20 like the other eye) I'd say it's at least back up to 93%, having dropped to maybe 85% clarity. I could see through it well enough for fine print and in darkness etc., but there was a vague opaqueness around the periphery- that has absolutely gone.
The thing is- it has unmistakably improved the quality of vision.
(I also routinely take iodine and have plenty of fish/bone broth usually. Paleo/Mediterranean diet.)

I have tried several Holistic protocols, however, eye bright tincture has brought the best results.
In my case, I believe that the cataracts I was told I have (had! )were at least possibly caused by "trash" in my eye (left only). But after 60 to 65 drops two to three times a day of oral ingestion for about two months my cloudiness got worse. I assumed that I was detoxing that eye and after a few days OFF the Tincture, I noticed the cloudiness was diminishing.
I'm planning on a new vision exam and anticipate a result that says the Cataracts are dissipating.
I also believe that a good Grade of Fish Liver oil (one Tblsp/day will help cleanse the eyes.
Please keep in mind that trash build up in eyes doesn't occur overnight and it will NOT go away overnight either.
Best,
Larry

Between her dementia, all the distraction with her broken leg, and then Covid concerns (we weren't able to see her for 3 months), the eye issue became secondary, to say the least.
I took her to the eye doctor a couple of weeks ago to get her glasses prescription updated. That is when I realized she basically can't see out of her left eye because it is so blurry. Nothing was immediately apparent to the optometrist. He referred us to an ophthalmologist. He said she had some scar tissue from a previous cataracts surgery and he used a laser to remove it and prescription steroid eye drops. Well, it didn't improve her vision at all. And the eye drops made her eye feel "heavy."
Her eye does itch and she rubs it a lot. It gets red and irritated. I always assume its some sort of infection and I do use colloidal silver gel on it. One dose of that topically and it usually clears right up, but its temporary.
Today I tried one drop of Visine allergy eye drops. Again, that seemed a temporary fix to the red and itchy eye.
But nothing touches the blurry issue. I could take her to another doctor, but she is in a wheelchair and has COPD and she is a high risk for Covid. I really prefer to minimize taking her out.
I thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone has any ideas for what this could be and what I might do for her.
She reads a lot and does word searches. Her eyesight is very important to her. Its one of the few things she has left!
Thanks you guys!

Woke up with a very sore eye, blurry vision, itchy and just painfully annoying! It was (naturally on a Friday when the local eye doc was closed) so knowing I did not have an appt until Monday afternoon I started researching and found the Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother cure for "pink eye" which I doubt I have/had (will find out tomorrow at the Optometrist appt). My upper eyelid is very red and dry and scaley and as said above the eyeball was also hurting.
So I followed a YouTube video where the lady put 2 capfuls into a large bowl and started rinsing her open eye ..... I did it 3x and each time followed with the Refresh gel drops the OD's office suggested. The $13 drops just made my eyes worse. So I finally decided like many others to just use the ACV water combo.
I used 2 capfuls of the apple cider vinegar in 1/2 gallon of DISTILLED water in a large bowl. Washed both of my hands thoroughly and with my hands and eyes open over my bathroom sink, started splashing the water into my eyes.....well here I am 36 hours later and my eyes are 100% better, no more symptoms. I am keeping the OD appt as I need to find out what is wrong with the top outside of my eyelid....eczema? or blepharitis?
I tossed out all my old eye makeup and brushes....bought new and will continue these vinegar eyewashes but in smaller amounts....
.I am now using 1 capful which measures to be 1 tsp vinegar into a STERILIZED (rinsed out with boiling water) cereal bowl with 1 1/4 cup of DISTILLED water. Have a wash cloth handy ..... after washing your hands lean over the sink and start splashing the water into your open eyes (both just to be certain) use the clean dry wash cloth to pat the eyes dry. Miracle cure for sure!!

My mother (late 80's with near perfect far vision and only using reading glasses), upon hearing that my vision was off said that the 'old folks' she grew up with recommended eating a carrot every day and your vision would improve. Well, every day for the past 2 weeks, I've grated just 1/4 of a carrot into my smoothie mixture.
End result: my vision has definitely improved to such an extent that I'm reading 1 size smaller letters than before and this, without my reading glasses. And, my vision is not so blurry.
Natural remedies such as eye exercises and carrots may take time, but they CAN, over time, work to fix what ails us! Astounding advice from my mother! Thanks MoM, CAT

I'm going to offer a suggestion that may help, or at worst, it won't hurt. The B vitamins, B6, Folate, and B12 have shown to at least improve the eye conditions of : optic neuropathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and visual acuity. They have helped me with dry eyes, blurred vision, and double vision. Although I have taken a large variety of B-complexes and individual B's for over 25 yrs., I found that they didn't work well until I began taking the sublingual lozenge of methylcobalamin, Mb -12. It is a natural form of B12 that is more easily available for the body to use. 1000 mcg. Daily may be a good possible dosage for eye health. ( It has also helped my years long lower back pain and sleep disturbance among many other conditions). But, it can take many months to see improvements, even over a year. It may be worth some consideration.
