Fennel Seeds for Adenomyosis

I've been diagnosed with adenomyosis. TMI warning!! I use a diva cup so I keep a diary of blood loss. My last period in May was about 45 oz. The most it was before was around 24 oz. I got a CT early July and my uterus is 21x12x16cm when it was 14cm in 2019. I recently stumbled upon fennel seeds (use organic! Mountain Rose is a great resource). I'm on day 23 of period and just over 100 oz of blood with lots of clots. My belly feels much smaller now after 10 days of 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds with meals. From wedmd: "For women with painful menstrual cramps, fennel may provide relief. Studies show that the nitrites in fennel improve blood flow, which can help the uterus more efficiently expel the uterine lining and shorten the length of menstruation."— https://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/health-benefits-fennel. I've also added vitex back and add about 1 tsp in my morning coffee that I take with raw cacao powder and molasses and alternating with cinnamon/cardamom, though by itself in the past I didn't see any improvement. I've read that you should take a break after 6 months for the vitex. No such warning for fennel seeds, I've seen yet, but if you try fennel seeds be prepared for lots of bathroom runs. I've also lost about 12 pounds in 15 days, though the heat could have something to do with that :) I'm 5'2", 54 yo and was stuck at 140lbs for a couple of years, when I used to fluctuate between 110-125 in my 20s-40s. 128lbs today. Good luck everyone.

Advice Needed on Adenomyosis

Peral (Usa) on 06/04/2011

Hi Ted,

I have read so much about your site. I just want to ask just one question. I have Adenomyosis,

(A 7CM Adneomyoma of the uterus). It was shown on the pelvic sono as a fibroid. I went to another doctor and took an MRI, shows that I have Adenomyosis, of course I do have few 1.4 cm fibroids. This is on the right side of me and never hurts. For years I have been having pain on my left side where a Adenomyosis was found. I took to a holistic ND, who said for me not to drink green tea, because green tea has caffeine and this makes fibroids grow more. She said to drink red raspberry tea. I am confused, because on your site, there are talks about green tea being good for fibroids. I used to drink decaffeinted with (4% caffeine). Ted Please let me know any suggestion to shrink Adenomyosis. This is a growth inside of the uterus, the opposite of Endometroisis. I was told that enzyme breaks up fibroids tissue. Please let me know your suggesttion of these growths on the uterus. Adenomyosis is a thickening of the uterus.

Thanks Ted.
