I started using Vitamin A also known as retinol on my skin it works great for acne rosacea as it reduces the redness. It didn't work for my hormonal acne, which I also get, but I enjoy not having the little red lumps.

Probiotics for Rosacea

I CURED my rosacea. It took me 4 years to figure it out but there is a direct connection between the gut and your skin. There is also a gut/ depression/ skin connection. Most of our serotonin is made in our gut. If we have an overgrowth of bad bacteria which also leads to an overgrowth of candida, then it causes us not to make serotonin and we cant absorb vitamins in our gut as well. The mite called dermodex is on everyones skin but when we get an overgrowth of bad bacteria and candida in our gut it causes the dermodex to migrate on our skin and we get a dermodex infestation. This can be caused by taking antibiotics like I did for pneumonia. It was after that I developed rosacea, and depression. Doxycycline took my rosacea away but it always returned with a vengeance. I found a report from the NIH and also a few recommendations online. I started taking probiotics, 4 different strains of 30 billion. I bought them at Giant from a reputable company. Within 2 months my depression lifted and my face cleared up totally. I used to take a pill a day but now I take a pill twice a week and my gut flora is now doing well. No rosacea at all. Just beautiful skin. Hope this helps others.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Acne Rosacea

I use apple cider vinegar full strength. Wipe my face with a cotton swap soaked in ACV three times a day and I also drink it three times a day. It keeps my adult acne away. If I stop using ACV the acne comes back.

Tamanu Oil for Rosacea

I just got tamanu oil to use on my scalp for itching and hair falling out. I have a bump on the side of my nose that the dermatologist said was nothing but it kept getting larger and larger. I have rosacea by the way. I got so sick of this huge bump that I sterilized a needle and took it off, then put tea tree oil on it. It came back. I tried other essential oils and it keeps coming back. Now, the good stuff! I thought I would try the tamanu oil on the bump, and what the heck, the rest of my face. My redness is going away and the bump is not getting bigger. It is still there but I just started it a few days ago. I sure hope my red face and bump go away completely. I will update in a few weeks to let everyone know if the bump and redness is gone for good.

Kelp Cleared the Rosacea on My Face in 2 Days

I have suffered with rosacea for decades but was always able to keep it under control with a popular over the counter acne system. But during the past year the condition got worse and no matter what I tried the pimples, bumps and red scars persisted expanding all over my face. Browsing online, I happened upon an article on iodine and how most are deficient. So I started looking further into Kelp which is an excellent source of natural iodine. I started a dose of 1 capsule of 325 mcg daily and just after two days my face was completely clear! It has been three weeks now and no recurrence. I'm thrilled!

Apple Cider Vinegar for Acne Rosacea

I had a skin issue on my face called rosacea, it was extremely red all of the time and I had blackheads and even brown spots. I used ACV or distilled white vinegar. First few days of use, (especially the first) my skin was got red, sensitive, and was stinging. My face got dry and began to flake a week later. From my experience, it is because I was making new skin for my face and the ACV was taking off the old stuff. It will hurt or sting maybe dry for mainly the first week or if you have a infected area in your face that it is cleaning (working).

I kept doing this since November of 2014 and it all completely left my face at my surprise. I also used it on my arms and my freckles are almost gone and my hair on my arms are back to translucent. I slept with this stuff drying on my face, but did not go out in the sun with it on. I would usually either wash it off after 30 minutes or sleep with it at night. ACV helped instantly with tummy aches and drove my blood sugar down. It does have a burning sensation when you take it straight. I think it is because of the repair work it could be doing, I also believe it is a declogger for arteries.

Tea Tree Oil and Clove Oil for Rosacea/Acne

Herballiving (Yorktown, Va) on 12/05/2014
5 out of 5 stars

I have suffered with subtype 2 Rosacea for almost ten years. I have had periods where I was fine and other times where my flares literally last months on end. It's scarred me both physically and emotionally. Nothing the dermatologist ever has worked for me. I get huge nodules and cysts during flare ups that take forever to resolve. I now know my particular Rosacea is due to Demodex mites. I had a skin scraping down because mine was going occular. Ever night I would itch allover, my eyes were being effected, my hair was falling out I was down right scared. But I found a way to get the mite population down to a manageable number and get my skin back.

I studied up on demodex and even though sulfur is often used, I really am sensitive to it. so I decided to start a regimen of Grapeseed oil combined with Tea Tree Oil and Clove oil. Yes, they are somwhat Caustic for Rosaceans but hear me out. Demodex out of control needs head to toe treatment, they will move to other places, especially your scalp. If you treat yourself from head to toe at first you can get it under control and heal.

2-2-1 ration Tea Tree-Grapeseed (Or other carrier oil, I like grapeseed for its sebum control and astringent properties) then add just a little clove oil. the Clove oil is important because It kills the eggs and prevents the cycle from returning. You need to do this for 90 days regardless if you feel you are better or they will come back on you.

Wash face with milder cleanser, I suggest a Cold cream that contains sodium Borate which is borax. Jergens Face cream is cheap and has sodium borate. I also have used Cerave and wiped it off, no water.

Make a solution of Peroxide and borax, thin like a toner. Wipe face, let dry.

Apply the TTO/Clove Oil on entire face, ears, necks going down to shoulder blades. the reason is as they try to crawl form the face they will move downward or to the scalp.

apply coconut oil plus tea tree to the hair at night, sleep on a towel. Really work the tea tree into the scalp. the clove might be a little hot for scalps but you can use it to. I have also added lavender or rosemary. One things these critters do not like is essential oils that run hot. Hot being cinnamon, cajuput oil, Cassia Oil, clove oil. Clove is a common treatment for scabie, so I chose clove. Saturate hair at night.

I suggest coating your entire body with a coconut nut oil/TTO mixture as well. You don't want these critters moving into anywhere else.

shower first thing in the morning. If you have trouble removing the oil, take a conditioner and put that on your head for about 5 minutes and it will break up the oil and make it easier to shampoo out. Use a Tea Tree oil shampoo or Head and shoulders. Exfoliate the dead skin off the face/Body or you can make a scrub. If you are very sensitive, use a microfiber cloth for your face. After your shower and exfoliation, your pores will be open. apply the TTO/clove/oil mixture again. Basically you will only removing it for showering. you need to do this for 60-90 days regardless if you are recovered. you need to break the life cycle of the Mite. the males live on the hands and arms and are transferred there via your face. that is why its important to treat the whole body and not just the face/Ears/Neck.

Once the lifecycle is broken you can go to maintenance phase, using the treatment every three days. THEY will come back if you do not do this.

Demodex, love dead skin and sebum. Even dry skin people have sebum but it's usually very hard. Keeping a alkaline balance and a yeast free body is the most important thing you can do. I suspect they also feed off Candida on the face which is why TTO and clove also work. I find the borax only beneficial in the kill off phase, it will make your skin worse before it's better. the first 5 days are the worst. After a two week phase, it may flare up again but stay the course it's just new eggs. But the Cloves kill the egg sacs.

There is no need to buy expensive chinese creams, this protocol works. I have been fighting this what seems like forever. It's given me my life back.

Acne Rosacea

I've tried prescription meds, OTC potions and lotions, and diet changes, but nothing worked. My acne rosacea got so bad I was embarrassed to go out in public. At wit's end, I finally resorted to a veterinary ointment for rashes and cuts. In less than a week, the bumps and scabs were totally gone. It's amazing stuff. Must be the sulfur and pine oil in it that are so effective.

Two Remedies Cleared Rosacea

Lori (San Diego, Ca, Usa) on 11/17/2012

I have had acne rosacea on and off for years, but never had it treated since I don't want to use prescription drugs to try and cure it. I woke up three days ago with a lot of red bumps on my checks and spots on my nose and decided to look up a cure on Earth Clinic. After reading all of the posts, I tried the two products I happened to have in my home and they worked beautifully. I washed my checks with Selsun blue in the morning. I did not add water, but just rubbed it into my cheeks and left it on for five minutes then washed it off. Don't let it get into your eyes. Right before bed, I applyed a few drops of Tea Tree oil to a cotton ball I soaked with water and rubbed it on my cheeks. Also, keep this away from your eyes. Three days later I have just a few spots left on my cheeks. I can't believe the difference in how my face looks. I am going to continue using both products and hopefully my face will be completely clear in a few days. I hope this helps someone!

SULFUR SOAP for (azufre) for acne rosacea, and many other specialy/medicinal/herbal soaps are available at most Mexican Stores, and very reasonably priced @1.00 per bar.

Helpful Hint: The bar lasts much longer if you take it out of the box/package and let it "air dry" and harden for a few days before using it; and it lasts alot longer if you keep it dry after using it (i. E not in a damp area of the bathroom). Once it is hardened I just dry it off and put it back in the box it came in. I keep all my "special" soaps in an open weave basket near the window (on the window sill in winter) and they last 10 times longer than the soaps left in the shower stall.

Regarding Acne Rosacea

Chaitu (New York) on 07/11/2011

First of all, am sorry if I am not supposed to post the below in earth clinic -
<P>I am not sure, if any of you are considering alternatives. I came across an intersting link between Small intestinal Bacterial (SIBO) linked to rosacea. Doctors seem to be treating this and not just skin (I felt, though am not sure). Here is an interesting except I found.</P>My experience with rifaximin as an attempted treatment for papulopustular rosacea:
<P>After I discovered the information about the allegedly uplifting results others had seen with this drug in despair of the disfiguring consequences we are all too familiar with I spent my last money on a trip to Barcelona, Spain, where rifaximin is produced and sold under the brand name Spiraxin available for purchase in any pharmacy without prescription from a doctor. I actually took 1200 mg/day for two weeks, not just ten days. When taking my first dose, my rosacea was worse than ever, pretty much. Well, long story short, aften five days I noticed improvement, on day ten I was CLEAR! Since then (three weeks post-treatment), my skin has been so much better, with only the occasional little pustule or papule if I eat unhealthy as a little reminder to struggle with I now have cleaner skin than most people my age (I`m 19):) SIBO was obviously my problem, and fortunately the bacteria reacted positively to the drug thank you, life! How long it will take before I experience complete remission is unknown, but I'm at least hoping for a few months rifaximin does not trigger resistant bacterial colonies in your gut and can be used repeatedly with approximately the same effect over and over again. Just remember to take probiotic supplement between courses. I`ll keep you updated whenever something remarkable happens, enjoying a renewed self-esteem and life quality in the meantime.
<P>So, for others, try it; you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. I love and empathize with you all, stay strong and don`t give up no matter how troubling rosacea can be to how we judge ourselves. We are beautiful xanthochroids regardless."
<P>This is directly related to SIBO controlling and kind of new invention. This means rosacea is internal digestive system trigger and not just at shallow level (skin). The bad bacteria is causing rosacea inside stomach and controlling this, slowly improving your digestive (good) bacteria sends rosacea into remission.
<P>Also, why dont you guys try for homeopathic which is very effective for rosacea -"</P>Homeopathy is one of the more effective and natural treatments available for Rosacea and its symptoms. Homeopathic medicines are natural, and are chosen based on your current condition and symptoms. Below are the most effective homeopathic medicines that you can use to treat your Rosacea.

Aloe Vera for Rosacea

Mellyone (North Vancouver, B.c., Canada) on 09/02/2010

I have noticed a huge difference in my acne rosacea using aloe vera plant on my face daily. I generally put it on after I get out of the shower and before I go to bed while putting an organic rose cream on my face on top. For me I get the little red bumps and severe dehydration. It has calmed down the redness, the red bumps and stopped the flaking. I generally have the worst reaction to chlorine and it has prevented any sort of reaction from swimming in the pool which is great. I'm definitely not cured but it has helped immensely. I have had several compliments on my skin in the last few weeks from clients and coworkers (while wearing no make up). Its worth a shot!

Sulfur Soap for Scabies and Rosacea

Angela (Louisville, Ky) on 05/26/2010

Ok, so I went out and bought sulfur soap. It has been used to treat scabbies for YEARS. It is also a treatment for rosacea. I have been using it day and night for 3 days. I have SEVERE rosacea, and so far it has lessened it by HALF. Most all of the swelling is gone. My nose used to remind me of WC Fields, it is now returning to normal, and the redness has diminished considerably. I still use tea tree oil after i wash my face with soap. I will try to get some sulfur ointment, the pharmacist told me you can only get it with a prescription because it has to be mixed. I will see about maybe a health store. I really hope you try this. If rosacea is due to mites in the skin, sulfur kills them, thats why they use it for scabbies. I will keep you all updated.

Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Used to Cure Rosacea

Anniea (Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa) on 10/05/2009

ROSACEA / Anti-dandruff Shampoo

I am so excited! About 5 months ago, the skin on my forehead, upper cheeks & chin went bright red, began to dry, flake & peel as though thoroughly sun burnt. Coincidentally, I'd just changed my usual facial wash from Garnier to Neutrogena, so figured that, that was the cause & immediately stopped using the Neutrogena, but ALAS! the problem continued to worsen. I'd go the odd week or so with a fairly clear complexion, then BOOF! the redness & flaking would return. I tried Bio-Tissue Oil but that didn't work at all, in fact it made it worse. This past Saturday, after reading every comment on this forum pertaining to ROSACEA (which I have never had medically diagnosed - yet it sounds all too familiar to what other sufferers have mentioned here), I decided to try a remedy which a Swiss dermatologist had recommended to my son to remove some white fungal spots from his face.

Sebiprox an anti-dandruff shampoo - simply Google it - not available in the USA under this name, but by another. The main ingredient is 15mg Ciclopirox-Olamine.

VOILA! It worked. Just before bed, I rinsed my face with warm water & whilst wet, washed it with SEBIPROX & rinsed it off. I patted my face dry with a clean towel & reapplied a little SEBIPROX to my entire face (avoiding contact with my eyes), left it on for 5mins & then rinsed it off & went to sleep.

The following morning my face was clear & without any redness whatsoever. Really smooth & soft & my pores noticeably closed.

I cannot tell you how excited I am! Thank you for making me aware of a MITE issue, as I would never have thought of such myself. One of my pet birds has a mite problem around his neck, so maybe that's how I picked this up in the first place.

GOOD LUCK!
~@nnie~ Durban / South Africa
