5 out of 5 stars

I have posted the following link a couple of times here on EC : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18268065

I was wondering if there is any way it can be posted in the scrollable column for hypertension under either Arginine or NAC or both. When I look, there is no listing for arginine or nac, but I have posted it at least three times on the forum in reply to people who are looking to relieve their hypertension naturally. The last time I posted it was yesterday August 23,2014. It is a very effective and cheap protocol to relieve hypertension and it has other significant health benefits.

Thank you! Art

I have religiously tried Arginine for 4 months every single day having 6 grams divided up. It has not helped me at all. I am old like 67 and my bl pr is over 150/90. Taking Lisinipril. Just started the acv. Waiting to see if it works.

Arginine alone did not lower my blood pressure. The addition of N Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) with the arginine did and my results were better than those achieved in the study that I posted previously.

Thanx for posting Art. This is very good news. I have long been skeptical about the Nitric Oxide boosting method for lowering BP as being merely a band-aid or treating the symptoms (which is fine for short-term). If NAC is showing improvements in this regard it certainly means a Glutathione deficiency and toxin overload. Eating Brazil Nuts or supplementing Selenium and 3mg Melatonin plus the NAC will significantly boost GTH while many disease processes vanish.

Hi Art: just curious to know if your Nac/Arginine combo is still working for your high bp. I noticed on an old post since 2012 that you started using it. Thanks in advance for an early response .

Lori,

I should probably ask EC to take that post down.

It continued working for me for a long time but it also reduced my Lysine /Arginine ratio which can tend to make you more susceptible to certain viruses and that is not good for people who have herpes or shingles and in my case it caused me to catch one cold after another before I finally figured out what was going on. Then I started supplementing L-Lysine to rebalance the Lysine/Arginine ratio which resolved my cold issues and I kept taking that trio to maintain blood pressure in range, but eventually decided that it was not practical or efficient, imo, to take three supplements twice a day to control blood pressure.

So I stopped the trio and found something else that I only take one pill once a day and it works very well. As a matter of fact I will be writing about it as soon as my testing is done with two friends who are testing it themselves and then I can recommend it on EC. So far, I am impressed, but I want my friends to finish their testing before I recommend it on EC.

Hi Art,

I was wondering if you have posted anything about your new high blood pressure remedy. I know you switched form the Nac and L-arginine combo. I would like to know what you are doing now. Please get back to me. Thank you.

Thanks Art… I'm still thinking of trying the Nac/ Arginine combo while waiting for the new remedy you mentioned. Hopefully it won't be long before you will be able to share with us. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into doing this. Greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Hi Lori,

It should be very soon. As soon as the other tester gives me their results I will post it. In my personal experience it is quicker and superior to Arginine/NAC/Lysine and has a longer lasting effect which I will explain in that post.

I'm so excited… I have many family and friends who suffer with this condition so I'm so thankful that you're doing this trial and I'm looking forward for the post on this remedy. Thanks again and have a blessed weekend.

Lori,

I was just notified by Earth Clinic that that post and link to the supplement will be going up this coming week.

Vida,

Yes, I tried a supplement that is working exceptionally well for myself and a couple of friends as well as two people from the EC community to lower our blood pressure into the normal range. We were all able to get off prescription meds. Here is a link to what I wrote about it :

Good luck and please update us when you try it!

Hello Art! Such wonderful work you have been doing on High Blood Pressure over a long time. So many people could benefit from your persistent research. A HUGE number of people around the world suffer from HBP and a BIG chunk of them don't even realize that they have it and are setting themselves up for BIG problems later in life. Their diets and lifestyle could probably do with considerable modification, thus hopefully avoiding the later use of the drugs you mention! The top THREE offending populations in the World are now (in descending order of seriousness): USA, Mexico and New Zealand!! WOW, we are members of a pretty, exclusive club! But, one theory I have heard espoused in "Medical Circles" is that a slight elevation of BP is permissible with each passing, successive decade as one gets older! Some of our doctors see patients with LOW blood pressure and, naturally, that is a concern also! I am just wondering what your thoughts are on this and whether you have written about this at some stage and I have missed it? Wishing you well. Cheers from Down Under

Hi Michael,

The best supplement I have found for hypertension is Carditone which is working very well for myself and some friends. Like everything, it probably won't work for everyone, but I found, for my friends and myself, that it did better than NAC/Arginine/Lysine, prescription medication, beet root powder, magnesium/potassium and others. I wrote about it here :

Michael,

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question.

Low blood pressure or hypotension can be dangerous also.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/low-blood-pressure/symptoms-causes/syc-20355465#:~:text=Low blood pressure might cause, pressure can be life-threatening.

Keeping things in context is important also because there are some people who just have low blood pressure as their norm. For those people, it might serve them well to wear a bracelet that identifies them as normally hypotensive. The reason being is that if they were ever to end up in the emergency room unconscious, the attending physician may interpret the abnormally low blood pressure as a symptom of some other serious condition and use an inappropriate treatment on the patient.

As far as allowing or accepting higher blood pressure readings with age, my opinion would be to stay as close to the normal range as possible, within reason. I think Carditone or beet root powder can do that for the great majority of people with side effects that could be significantly less than some blood pressure medications.
