Rash

Worked Temporarily
Re: the borax page. Could you update with information on the time period involved? ie how long is it safe or recommended to take the borax & h202 in water cure?
I have a sore recurring (monthly) rash on my abs and neck. When taking the borax and h202 remedy for about 6 weeks, the rash was rapidly reducing over a few months in total, to the point of thinking that it had gone. But then it came back with full force. I'll try again, but how long is safe?
With thanks.
Rash

I started to get skin rashes around my neck that started to spread down my trunk. Nothing work until I switched to Borax shampooing and for washing my body. With three or four days, the rash that had gotten slowly worse for a year was gone--and it has never came back. I used to mix it in water, but I've started just putting it on straight. No only is my rash gone, but it cured my dandruf and my hair is healtheir and thicker than it has been for years. I've been using it for about a year now, and I'll be using it until the day I die.

I am really eager to buy some borax for a fluoride detox. I live in Tokyo, Japan and I really cant find the borax that everyone is taking for detox. As far as I know it is the "20 Mule Team Borax" (safe to ingest, right?) but I just can't find it anywhere. I can order from the US but it is going to be really expensive. Can anyone help me please? I am desperate.

Borax in Japanese is called hosha. (Many Japanese don't know how to read the character for this, but it's HO-U in katakana and sha is the kanji for sand (suna). The cost at Amazon is 924 yen for 500 grams.
Or...you can go to http://www.tougeishop.com/item/tougei_genryou/t0804/t0804034.htm and order 1 kg for 609 yen. It seems to be the same thing, and you can use it for washing clothes, washing your hair, etc. But for consumption, probably the type from Amazon would be better. Good luck!
EC: Sorry, our database doesn't currently accept Japanese characters! Will see if we can in the future.

Sorry to hear of your wife's skin problems. Most likely, it is the liver throwing the poisonous substances out through the skin.
Borax has a very drying after effect and is good for some skin ailments. But in this case I would make chamomile tea, soak cotton face cloths and cover the affected areas. You can also make enough for a bath. This extremely soothing and healing and can be repeated a few times.
After dabbing dry, apply coconut oil liberally where needed. Coconut oil is cooling and soothing, too. Meanwhile Milk Thistle internally three times a day to help clear the liver, and stay away from antibiotics. The word antibiotic means "anti life". It must be done with God's pharmacy.

In Nov. 2013, took a sulpha based antibiotic, due to cellulitis diagnosis, ended up w/reaction, that looked like steven johnson syndrome, mixture of rash w/a burn. Reaction continued for weeks, finally went to dermatologist, did biopsy, confirmed, drug reaction rash, only thing is given topical steroids, and strong benydryl. I initially used steroids but as soon as I stopped the rash would return, from what I read common cycle so I decided to look for other remedies.
I took some advice from Tony Pantelleresco, he suggested this bath:
1/4 cup borax, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup tri-sodium phospahte(TSP)in stores they are labeling products as TSP but it is not, be sure to read label and if in doubt call the makers of product to confirm it is pure Tri sodium phosphate, as much epsom salt as I wanted, also add some Dmso(start small, cap full or two, and increase to your comfort level), some iodine(pottasium iodide) as hot as I could stand it. as long as I could take it. I did these baths to begin with 2x's a day, when infection was at worst. this is the only thing that brought relief.
if no TSP, just do what u have available
Before I started baths, I asked Drs. if they thought baths would be ok, both drs. thought hot water would not be good, dry out skin..
I would experiment w/different ingredients w/time in bath, ACV, urine, as time went on.
I decided to work on my digestive flora, drank kefir daily(homegrown), increased all b supplement b50, b12, biotin, juiced carrots, read teds suggestions for Steven Johnson Syndrome (SJS). Acupucture, read book by Joe Dispenza, on You are the Placebo, Making the Mind Matter, this helped.
5 months skin clear but returned on arms 1 month after, then did hot & cold baths on arms and continued full salt baths 2-4 x's a week.
Also decided to stay away from grains, and sugar. I always kept looking read what ted says and be willing to experiment to figure what works for you.
As of today, I am clear of rash
Maybe your reaction is not as bad as mine, which was all over the front of my body, even spread to my face. these are some of the things that really helped me.
I know it is hard but you will get better, just keep looking for what works for you. You will get better.

Yes, on seeing 1st dermatologist, initially thought was a allergy gave me prednisone for what was thought to be a skin allergy. I was on that for 2 days, when my arm swelled up to size of thigh and was weeping a yellowish liquid, on third night went to ER, diagnosed w/cellulitis, given two antibiotics(MRSA fear) one was Sulph base antibiotic, by 3rd day on antibiotics went to see primary physician, immediatly diagnosed as drug reaction, severe, took me off all drugs including prednisone, was on prednisone for a total of 6 days.

I had a very bad experience with 20 mule team Borax. I was taking it to chelate fluoride and other heavy metals out of my system. I got terrible peripheral neuropathy from Cipro. I got splotches on my forehead. Blurred vision, headaches, and terribly constipated and my BP went up likely from the stress of it all. When I went off everything it I got rid of it all. I was taking 1/4 teaspoon in a liter of water. I even dropped it to 1/8th of a teaspoon and still had problems. And I do take Lugols at 50 mgs/day. Has anyone tried Mesenchyne?

Hi Nho...Fluoride will also deplete iodine in your thyroid so, as you say, you are probably hypothyroid as well. So if I were in your situation I would start taking the full Iodine Protocol(together with all advised minerals and vitamins) to immediately improve and normalize the thyroid. Supplementing the Iodine Protocol will also help to automatically remove any excess fluoride in your body(from the Cipro) in the same way as borax can. The borax protocol is shown here.

Is it possible the iodine could raise your blood pressure? I was using Ponaris nasal emollient on advice of my ENT and while it made breathing possible and reduced mucus production, it seemed to raise my blood pressure. Once off, no more problems. It does contain iodine. I suppose it depends on the condition of your thyroid (?)

For those of you reading this, a loud loud blast of a warning from a big red firetruck about Prednisone. I am personally familiar with this nightmare drug, as I watched it destroy my mother-in-law. Like many, many women in the western societies, she doted in doctors ad nauseum and literally became a human guinea for treatments of a viral lung infection called Sarcloidsis, easily mitigated by nutrition, in particular by consuming fresh fruits and vegetables which she did not.
One day we went to visit her and she has swelled to monstrous proportions after taking Prednisone. I was shocked. I did the research on the drug and found it caused the swelling and half a dozen other severe side effects including congestive heart failure. I warned her how dangerous this drug was but she continued to take it until she died a few months later at the young age of 44.
Truth is impossible to suppress and liars, being cowards, will always tell it if you watch and listen closely enough by the use of euphemisms and misleading deflections. So it is no surprise that NOWHERE in most medical language does the word heal or the word cure, both very definitive four letter words find their way into print. As such:
1. Your doctor "practices" MEDICINE!!!!
2. Your doctor "treats" SYMPTOMS.
3. Your doctor "prescribes" MEDICATION.
4. You have to be "patient" while being "practiced" on by somebody who is not interested in healing you or curing your "dis-ease". Not to mention that anybody who practices anything doesn't have mastery over their chosen profession.
Fast Forwarding decades, I have lost two younger siblings who also bought into the hype of the medical establishment, refused to exercise their God given intellect to research and died by doctor as a consequence.
And while I'm ranting let me warn everyone that the popularity of coconut oil has skyrocketed its price within this last year at the retail level. Another ruse to deny health and wellbeing to all. May God have mercy on us. Because the worst disease of all is mass murdering humanity. Greed and ignorance remain our most powerful enemies. Thank The Creator of all For EarthClinic.

This happened to a friend, same illness, she did not die so quickly. She did try to wean off the prednisone but then couldn't breath. She puffed up so much she was barely recognizable, then her bones disintegrated, she lost over a foot in height, all her teeth crumbled away, and she was in constant severe pain for a couple years. Horrible way to live and die.
Research
Hello Ted, I read your posts on borax with great interest, and have found many interesting articles on the benefits of borax substance in the human body, as well as the following articles that appear to debunk the myth that exposure can lead to infertility:
Reproductive toxicity in boron exposed workers in Bandirma, Turkey.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22575543
Low frequency of infertility among workers in a borate processing facility.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12835486
I did come across two articles from Thammasat University that I wanted to get your feedback on:
Effect of borax on immune cell proliferation and sister chromatid exchange in human chromosomes
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2776007/
Genotoxic effects of borax on cultured lymphocytes.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19323026
On the flip side, other studies have shown that borax guards against genetic damage in human lymphocytes:
In vitro studies on chemoprotective effect of borax against aflatoxin B1-induced genetic damage in human lymphocytes.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22526492
Boron compounds reduce vanadium tetraoxide genotoxicity in human lymphocytes.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21791386
I would imagine that if boron leads to genotoxic effects, then birth defects or negative health consequences would have been noted in the studies listed above on occupational exposure and fertility.
I am curious on what you might have to say about the fact that genetic alterations and apoptosis have been observed in the very same cells that borax has been shown to exert protective effects.

You have cited published medical research strictly controlled and approved by AMA and FDA guidelines and acceptance. Let not this define your perception regarding the efficacy and safety of Boron.
In many cases the funding for such provided studies should be a considering factor regarding the integrity of these journals. Also, most importantly a detailed history regarding the medical and medicinal use of boran should be researched over a longer period of time, for example, past 100 years before the strong hold of the current cartel of medicine.
This website is evidence that modern medicine is not working and many paradigms are not as they seem.

Perhaps such a conspiracy you mention exists, but if it were as pervasive as you suggest, then no articles would be listed on PubMed in support of using borax. In addition, all of the articles I cited originated either from Turkey, Rome, or Thailand, in which case the FDA does not apply.
The research I cited is both supportive and critical of the use of borax/boron. In fact, the articles from Thailand were the only ones I could find to support the notion of "genotoxity. " In addition, the genetic and apoptotic effects observed in Thailand are inferred by its authors to be potentially pathological, whereas such genetic alterations might have a neutral or even positive effect on the individual's immune system. That said, the authors in Thailand provide microscopic images of these effects, and therefore it is difficult to dispute. I take these findings with a grain of salt until such studies can be replicated in a different lab. I also question the toxicity of this substance, since various studies have shown no documented ill effects in borate miners who are constantly exposed to these substances. There do appear to be cases where boron exposure causes spontaneous hair loss and skin eruptions, but this could be due to allergies or various systemic physiological imbalances, such as vitamin/mineral deficiences.
Here are two more articles in support of using borax medicinally:
Borax counteracts genotoxicity of aluminum in rat liver.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22491726
Preparation and characterization of antimicrobial wound dressings based on silver, gellan, PVA and borax.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22939352
Borax used to be prescribed medicinally in the United States, and in fact I found this image of a medicine bottle from 1920:
http://archive.org/details/Borax
Not many articles are listed on Pubmed on this topic prior to 1950, however there was one article from 1902 that described (in great detail) the results of the administration of borax and boric acid in children:
ON THE INFLUENCE OF BORIC ACID AND BORAX
UPON THE GENERAL METABOLISM OF CHILDREN.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2235950/pdf/jhyg00321-0017.pdf
I will follow this post with an exhaustive review of the literature on borax for anyone who is interested.

No, not an intentional conspiracy but rather, only formulated substances that can be patented tend to receive funding for clinical trials. The conspiracy is not against Boron but only to maximize profitability for a drug producing and manufacturing company with patentable substances.
And yes, there are published journals for the use of Boron. Most if not all of the medical journals documenting the use of Boron and other natural substances like olive leaf extract, lavender oil are studied by scientists, research physicians and universities but then never make it to mass clinical trials, never officially written into pharmacopeia as effective standard treatments.
Don't let medical Journals dictate 100% of your beliefs. Many doctors I have spoke with even know to be cautious with citing these journals.
With that said, they are useful as published data can show that the substance studied has shown safe and effective in small scale testing or may be supported by other journals also published giving confidence in the substance.

If any medical research centre decided to, it could publish a study saying "table salt toxicity in mice" - and so people would start getting scared of table salt thinking it was now a 'toxic' substance!
The heading is designed to get attention only. Read the article and you would discover that the salt levels used in the 'research' were high (for mice). That's what these researchers do. They keep increasing the dose until there is a reaction, then publish the results to show they have discovered something.
Simple 'toxicity' is not the issue.
Many natural chemical substances are toxic at high doses. Salt and borax are no different to hundreds of other substances. Abusing/exceeding the accepted or therapeutic dose can do harm but at the normal dose great benefits can be obtained.
Rheumatoid Arthritis

A friend had chronic rheumatoid arthritis for a long time before I met the family. I told him to try taking boron in the form of borax, but because of the label on the container, would not - even though I showed him that I take it every day as 'preventative' medicine. So essential as our soils are deficient in it - the reason why sheep and cattle suffer from arthritis.
I showed him the on line publication, "The Borax Conspiracy" which while remaining hesitant, decided to ask his specialist if it was OK to take it.
The reply was, "If it does not do you any good, it will certainly not do you any harm." So he took ¼ teaspoon for two weeks, after which he was pain free and off all his medication for which had to have blood tests every 3 months'.
When he said to the specialist, "I suppose you will recommend this to all your patients?" The reply was: "I am not allowed to." Of course, so many people make money as a result of the suffering of other people.

Diagnosed with RA. Have tried several meds all made me sick or had side effects. Have a very sensitive stomach. Considering taking borax because it seems less toxic and easy to take. However the stomach issue, someone mentioned charcoal. So many supplements, and suggestions, makes me confused with so many options. Also, limited income. The thought of taking this is scary but so does all the toxic med RA is recommending. Help
Kathleen,
Borax may still be worth a try despite the stomach issue. Keep in mind that the person who originally founded borax and boron as a potential arthritis treatment before, Ted, Rex Newnham, found benefit at dosing much lower than Ted recommended.
He reported dosing of boron as low as 6mg/day was effective for some people(50%) which would equate to roughly 55 mg/day of borax :
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1566627/pdf/envhper00403-0084.pdf
I have to say that that dose was not effective for me, but according to the PubMed link above, it worked for 50% of the people studied. Compare this dose of borax to Ted's recommended dose for women of roughly 500 mg/borax per day for 5 days of the week which averages out to 2500 mg/week / 7 = 357 mg/day compared to the approximate borax dose that would be needed in the link above of 55 mg/day of borax to be equivalent to 6 mg of boron actually used.
As far as cost, borax costs pennies per year.
So it seems possible that you may find borax effectiveness at some point between 55 mg and 357 mg/day. One strategy might be to start at the low dose and see how it goes after a month. If not enough benefit after a month, a slow and low dosage increase could be considered until benefit is found before reaching Ted's recommended dose of 357 mg/day of borax.
Such a strategy could potentially prevent gastro issues from ever occurring.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

I have been using this Borax solution for several years now to fend off Rheumatoid arthritis. It works for me 99% - I get the odd twinge now and again, that's all.
Rheumatoid Arthritis

My husband has severe RA. Would not take Borax for the life of him. I started giving him a little more than 1/8th tsp in his hot chocolate about 5 days a week. I started this just shy of a month ago and he is so much worse than he ever has been. I can't tell him why, but I know that the symptoms will most likely be gone in a couple more months. But seeing him in pain like this is killing me... I am really scared the pain won't ever go away. He drinks coke everyday, it is like he is addicted to his soft drink... He drinks some water also, but has to have a couple cokes a day... He also has a severe heart condition.

Is he getting enough water to balance out the Borax since it is normally consumed with a liter of water? If not perhaps you should consider a smaller amount in his hot chocolate. I'm also wondering if your getting him to take magnesium as well, which he should for both the Borax and the heart (if I recall correctly).

Hi Cheryl,
I am sorry for you and your husbands illness. One thing that stood out to me when reading your question was the fact the he consumes a huge amount of Coke. Soft drinks are well known to be health destroyers. If there was any way to curb this habit hopefully he would feel better. Interestingly enough, I attended a nutrition lecture last night given by Dr. Denice Holtzman on just this very subject. If weaning him off Coke is not possible, look for the Coke that is bottled in Mexico. I know! I was shocked by this also, but apparently Mexico forbids the use of many artificial ingredients including sweeteners as well as GMO's. (genetically modified organisms) Who Knew?
I hope you find this useful and your husband regains his health.

Rheumatoid Arthritis
Anyone who has used Borax for Rheumatoid arthritis would you answer a quesiton. It is my understanding that using Borax will rid your body of fungus that causes the RA. It will cure RA. Once the Borax has worked which from what I've read takes just a couple of weeks or less, how long do you continue taking it? Do I need to continue taking every month, week, day or what?
Thank you, Rain

My sister has RA and she is doing fine and pain free since using LDN plus Borax. The Borax helped with the pain. You can check the borax section in this site for more information.
Ringworm

A year ago I came to this site to find a remedy for ringworm. I had gone through an number of over the counter products, which seemed to spread the fungus instead of stopping it. It had developed because of taking prescription medication with fluoride base. Yes I was poisoning myself with a doctor's help.
I tried Apple Cider Vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and urine to no avail. By the time I found Borax at WalMart, the fungus had spread all over my hands and I had begun to worry that I would be spreading it everywhere on my body. Plus my hands were cracked and bleeding, blistering and peeling, and the itching was endless.
So I started on Ted's recommended dose of 1/8 tsp in a liter of water and drank it slowly over a few hours. This worked within the first few days so well that I didn't want to stop after a few days to take a break, but I did. Within a months time the ringworm had completely vanished and the only thing left was the tiny pits in my fingernails where the fungus had affected the growth of the new nail.
Once my nails were not pitted anymore I stopped taking the borax supplement.

Hey you're so right, as a mechanic I was hurt by the same fungus-tinia manus, got it from fungus that grows in oil or diesel, borax rids the problem and also a mold antibiotic-griseofulvin or fulvicin also will eat the fungus for 90 days, that took care of my problem, so was wondering what other common ailments are easily cured that you know of, thanks, dave s
Rosacea
Hello! I was wondering if I could put my 4x per-week, daily dose of Borax into capules (I take 1/8 teaspoon) and swallow them thus, because putting the 1/8 (a woman's amount) into water makes the water taste soapy and unpalatable. I am using the Borax for rosacea - demodex extermination. Thank you!

I have done two things for rosacea. One is I put some colloidal silver on the affected areas. Mine went into my eyes (occular rosasia) therefore I put a drop into each eye and it did cure it. However, the thing I have done the most is to take a warm/hot soaky bath in the tub. Depending on the size of your tub put in from 1/2 to 2 cups Epsom salts and 1/4 cup baking soda. Soak from 20 to 30 minutes 3 times a week. Take a face cloth and rub the water everywhere especially on the affected areas. It killed everything wrong with my skin including athlete's foot and scaley skin. It took all the arthritis discomfort all over my body including my feet. My skin is so nice. People are guessing me to be around 15 years younger than I actually am.
Rosacea
In regards to facial demodex mites: I would like to know if the borax/hydrogen peroxide mixture is to be left on the face overnight and for how many days should I continue the internal and external applications? Also how often for maintenance?
Rosacea

re: demodex mites/rosacea -- I am currently in the process of ridding my face of these nasty mites. I can attest to the fact that they really do move. I first put the borax solution on my cheeks to test it and all of the red spots moved to my chin the next day. It was incredibly freaky! I have felt them move to my eyes, nose ears and scalp at various times. Now there are a few spots showing up on my ankles as I fight to kill them all! I am determined to win this battle thanks to this awesome website and my new hero "Ted"!
I have ingested the borax several times now with no ill effects at all. I was quite leary at first, but I knew that everything else Ted had stated had proven to be true- so I took a leap of faith. I am so glad I did! Now I just need to stay focused and disciplined to follow through on the routine. Thank you so much for your help. You are making a huge difference in the lives of many people.

Yes absolutely. I use 2 ounces distilled water, 1 ounce of peroxide and as much borax as you need to mix. Even my blackheads are gone. Unbelievable, I love it! But I also did take two doses a week apart of ivermectin. I noticed a difference within 36 hours completely.
Rosacea
I have been struggling with seborrheic dermatitis on my face for 5 years. I have tried everything - drastic diet changes, candida elimination, probiotics, apple cider vinegar, topical steroids, msm sulfur, betaine hydrochloride, pancreatic enzymes, vitamin C, oil of oregano, flax oil, etc etc etc. A year and a half ago, I also developed perioral dermatitis and ocular rosacea. I read about borax and I decided to give it a try, taking 1/8 a tablespoon of borax in a liter of water for 3 days straight. After the third day, things were definitely changing but not noticeably better. I then decided to try to use borax topically. I combined a 1/2 tablespoon of borax with some hydrogen peroxide mixed with 50% water and I put it on my face then rinsed it off after about 30 seconds. It worked! My face feels as smooth as it did when I was a child, and my ocular rosacea is gone too. I didn't even remember what it was like to have normal feeling skin on my face with no rough patches, flaking, or redness. And I can't believe my eyes are back to their normal shape! I am so relieved. I feel and look like myself again for the first time in years. It seems miraculous. I am so so so grateful. What an excellent site. I suppose my problem was demodex skin mites, and the borax/hydrogen peroxide combo has eliminated them. I hope my experience will help someone else. THANK YOU.

Worked Temporarily
Borax was not taken internally later on of 1/8 teaspoon in one liter of drinking water and only the borax and peroxide was applied externally. That's probably why it didn't work. Of course, getting the pH to 7 is still important. Dietary sugars and acid forming food is what is causing the seborrheic dermatitis. Ted

You did not give it enough time ... continue internal 1/8 teaspoon borax dissolved in 2 cups of filtered water, drink 1/3 of it 3 times only per day ... for borax washing melt down your favorite face wash and add a 1/8 or 1/4 teaspoon and stir in and pour back into a mold and let cool ... wash with it daily ... you will see a bigger difference long term ...
Rough Feet

I'm insulin resistant, so I have alot of the same problems that diabetics do, including rough feet. I've tried so many scrubs and files and lotions in hopes of softening my feet. I suspect that I also have a systemic Candida infection, so I thought Borax would be good for my itchy feet. It worked wonderfully! My feet were so soft after I got out of the shower and have not been itching since. Once you get your feet nice and soft, you'll want to follow with a good moisturizer: that's where my next project lies.

A really good skin softener for your feet would be to use 1/4 cup of castor oil, 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of mineral oil and 7 drops of a lemon essential oil for fragrance. I had the same problem and combined this mixture along with using the borax and the results were unbelievable! I hope it works for you as well.

A great product for rough feet and foot fungus is coconut castile body wash. It clears the problem after a few uses. You can also use coconut oil to moisturize your feet. Just wear cotton socks and slippers so you don't damage your carpeting.

Hi, Ted
Tonight I was in the super market and found Boraxo powdered hand soap. It says on the back. Boraxo Powdered Hand Soap is a unique blend of borax and powdered soap. The borax holds the lossened soil in suspension until it is rinsed away. This is a 20 Mule Team product. boraxo is much stronger than plain borax!!!
if you can get some plain borax - they have it in the laundry aisle - it is usually called 20 mule team... it will work much better and won't dry out your hair or scalp and you won't need conditioner.
you need borax and citric acid. citric acid is a chelator and will take the borax completely out of your hair as well as restore the proper pH to your hair and scalp and prevent mineral build up. you can also use vinegar - 1 tablespoon to a pint of water but it doesn't work as well... but until you can get citric acid vinegar is fine.
take some plain powdered borax and pour about an inch or 2 in the bottom of a bottle. add water and shake and let it sit until the water turns clear. it will only melt as much of the borax until it gets to a 'saturated' solution - so having some white stuff in the bottom is normal.
pour the clear liquid into a squirt bottle with a nozzle like a ketchup or mustard bottle or even better a hair dye bottle and use about 2 tablespoons. i usually just put one ounce (2 tablespoons into the bottle at a time).
when you are ready to wash your hair get a pint container and add 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid powder to a pint of water and shake or stir it good.
ok then wet your hair and squirt the borax solution onto your scalp only. after this kind of work it around your scalp and then sort of squeeze it down the rest of your hair. you don't have to worry much about the length because just the amount that is on your scalp will clean the length unless your hair is very long.
it may not seem like it is doing anything but it is!!!
then rinse, rinse, rinse and scrub your scalp with your fingertips (not nails) and when finished rinsing well, pour your citric acid solution over your scalp and let it run down your hair. make sure you saturate your hair and scalp with it.
then rinse, rinse, rinse.
this will work MUCH better!!! as well as leave your hair very shiny, smooth and full of body. no conditioner is needed with this method! i have almost waist length hair that was very dry and crunchy before i started using this method. now i can't believe how nice my hair is!!!
good luck :)
