Ho'oponono

Arlette (Compiegne, France) on 03/16/2013

Dear All... To help in all difficulties look into 'Ho'oponono on youtube. it is an old Hawaian method of repeating 4 phrases: Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank you, I love you... These powerful phrases cited with sincerity cleanse, forgive and heal. Also, it's very soothing, especially when in the depths of despair and suffering. With blessings, Arlette

Epigenetics- the New Biology

Lisa (Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa) on 11/10/2012

Hi Everyone, I have just listened to this amazing audio interview with Bruce Lipton. I feel it is so important for everyone to hear. He wrote "The Biology of Belief". He's a brilliant pioneer of the new biology, "epigenetics". It's all about how our emotions can and do change our genetics. It is something I have always adhered to though I know there are many who have argued with me regarding this. Now, here we have scientists who can actually prove how this is beyond just a belief but a reality! I think it can help many in recognizing how our health goes beyond just the physical but into the emotional as well. I think you will find this information quite enlightening.

When you go to this link, scroll down to the bottom to find the audio interview:

Best to all, Lisa

Shadow Meditation for Self Integration

Jag Perez (Austin, Tx, Us) on 01/03/2011

I used to have a bothersome, nagging shadow that would follow me. Every time I chose not to listen to my conscious, my shadow would let me know by sending me signals, through pain, illness, or misfortune. I would in turn get angry or annoyed, and blame my environment and the people in my life. I had no idea who the shadow was. I put myself in deeper and deeper peril with all of this. At my worst, I was a heavy drinker, full of anger, resentment for being hurt, and my Pelvic Inflammatory Disease was at its worst. I moved to another city to find a better environment to live in, and one day, I chose to do a special kind of meditation.

The meditation was to become integral with my shadow. This included slow and deep breathing, a visualization of my shadow sister and myself sitting together, and an energetic connection with the spirit. I called her into my room and I felt her presence. I had to face my truths and open up and accept my shadow as a part of me. I asked her a question about a deception that I was feeling from another person, then a great urge to take a nap came over me. When I came out of my meditation, I lay down to take a nap. During my sleep, my question was actually answered. When I awoke, I had a new agenda according to a truth that was revealed to me in my dream. One of the great things I learned about accepting my shadow and not fearing it, is that I actually have an ally who can help keep me from being deceived, just so long as I choose to remain integral with her :3 But the best part, is that since that meditation, my PID, my resentment, and my drinking problems have left my body. I'm now on a better path, and every time I start to feel negative, I just have to remember that I can meditate on a communication with shadow, and I can feel much better!!!

Getting Over Heartbreak

Teresa (East, Tennessee) on 08/09/2009

I found a good book/tape and a couple of positive self-help CDs that have helped me with agonizing heartbreak. Google 'break your addiction to a person' books to locate the book. I also ordered two self-help CDs on the subjects 'letting go of the past' and 'positive self esteem' and I listened to both of them repeatedly for months until I felt better. I hope this information can help someone else, as heartbreak is horrible.

Emotional Balancing

Linn (Tujunga, Ca) on 08/03/2009

Battling Emotions:
I have used Bach's Rescue Remedy for stressful times in the past, or mild anxiety and worry. Lately I have had success using a supplement called GABA calm in times when I have become irritable or irrational, due to personal struggles, or just with PMS. It has been working well for me. Raw Apple Cider Vinegar in water has also been an effective, immediate stress reliever but I often forget about it at those times. I am currently wrestling with some personal issues which keep nagging at me even though I've faced them and been doing much work on them. It's a journey and I've made progress. These aid in calming me when I find myself getting triggered by a thought, that makes me feel upset or irrational. These are like my defensive measures to put things in thier place!

Building Balanced Emotions:
I am also putting forth much effort in BUILDING my emotional balance (offensive measures!) and strength in these areas. I am dedicating effort from my mind, body and soul, towards gaining strength in these areas of my life. Some of these things are what I am using for immediate relief, while others are more long-term in thier approach.

1) Prayer and Self-Reflection
Prayer and self-reflection is certainly #1 and a daily measure that truly uplifts me when I open up to it. This is hard to do when we feel upset or angry, but it is SO successful for me at those very times, and usually does turn things around. I would also say that realizing my goals every day and re-affirming that I have made progress helps. This could also be called honesty and facing fears.

2) Self-Hypnosis:
One thing that has truly turned my life around is the 'Self-Hypnosis' approach, which in it's essence is kind of like affirmations to yourself. It is most effective if you are in a light trance state, such as when you 'daze' off while reading a book or just notice you were staring off into space. I have had great results using this to adjust my perspective on things, how I look at life, more positive attitude, confidence, even just that I'm going to have a good day, etc... And I am also trying to use it to build more security and trust pertaining to these issues I am working on currently. I recommend an old but good book called simply, "Self-Hypnosis' (or 'A guide to') written in the 60's. I read this book a few years ago and it was enlightening for me. It is very simple to implement in one's life for any reason! Please don't confuse this method with the 'law of attraction' or something like that. They could be connected, but this is not about gaining
anything material, but more about re-wiring your subconcious mindset to healthier habits and thought processes. It isn't new age it is just about building a better mindset.

3) Flower Essences
Another thing I decided to do for myself was to try out the Bach Flower Essences. If you research these essences, you will find that each one addresses a particular area of the human condition. Things such as pain, lack of confidence, specific emotional isssues, security, inspiration, etc. I can't say how it works, though I read that the flower's vibrational essence is imprinted into the water/alchohol, and that it helps to unblock the blocked or unbalanced emotion. After years of using Rescue Remedy, I am going to give them a try. I will report back on how it's going.

4: Writing, Prayer, Self-Reflection
One other thing which is commonly promoted is journaling, or writing. I have been writing down positive things whenever I can, pertaining to the things I am struggling with. I also have decided to try to write the things I want to communicate to my partner rather than have heavy discussions which aren't always neutral on my side. Until I can gain more balance at least.

5) Hormonal Balance
Monthly cycle does effect the hormones, and I am trying to pay attention to this and add supplements which can help to keep things more balanced. I haven't gotten it totally down yet. So far I am using Calcium/Magnesium, Black Cohosh, eating well, and might try Evening Primrose Oil as well.

I feel that these practices might help to take the rough edges off and finally I can truly gain grounding from letting these things nag at me when I feel I've put them to rest long ago. Or, if I am suffering from the monthly cycle and all of it's unbalances. I am no expert, just sharing some of my experiences and willing to learn more.

I recall seeing a subject for 'batting abuse or battling your demons' and was going to list this under that thread. But I would like to suggest a page for 'Emotional Balance'. I see a PMS page, a stress page and an anxiety page, but I would like to suggest one for Emotional Balance of these and other types. Either way, I hope that this helps someone and I am always willing to learn more!

EC: Actually, your post is perfect for the new body, mind, spirit page - thanks!
