We started taking the Osage Orange or hedge apple by freezing it and grating with a cheese grater a tablespoon full for consumption once a day. It tastes like fresh cucumber. Then I was told people were selling it on ebay for $40 an apple. So I looked it up and saw a picture of the osage orange for $40 but below the caption, it said one ounce of dehydrated hedge apple powder. So I ordered a commercial dehydrator with 24 racks. It cost $500. Then when it came in we found it was too hard to cut with a knife and the slices were too thick. So we took it to a commercial kitchen and they sliced it with a meat slicer as thin as we wanted. So after buying a meat slicer from a closed up business for $125 we were able to slice them quickly as thin as we wanted. Once in the dehydrator we found that it took 17 hours to dry them at 120 degrees. They curled up like a potato chip. From there they went into a Vitamix grinder and ground down to a small grainular. It seemed to be still damp and would cluster so I took a cookie sheet and some parchment paper and spread it out and put it in the oven for 10 minutes at 190 degrees. It came out nice and dry and I was able to bag it in quart size freezer bags and put in plastic coffee cans and store in the freezer. You can sat it out on the counter away from the sunlight and moisture for weeks at a time and it be just fine. We found that 1/4 teaspoon full for 30 days usually showed great results. If you double up on it, you might have a little diarrhea for a few days until your body got used to it. There is little or no taste when dehydrated. I use it on my eggs every morning for the last eight years. I have mailed it in envelopes to five different countries and it arrived just fine unless at times some governments may confiscate it. I heard about a woman getting well of stomach cancer and I drove to another town to meet her. She also gave it to a man that had prostate cancer and both said their cancers were gone in about 30 days. I gave it to a woman with breast cancer and it was gone in 30 days. A swollen thyroid on a woman was so large her head was cocked over. The doctors wanted to remove it and give her chemo for cancer. She tried this first and it was gone in 30 days. gout, acid reflux, arthritis, and even stage four kidney failure was working in about 60 days. Tumor on the liver was gone in 30 days. There is no guarantee that it will work for everyone but it has worked for many people that I know. Quite often the doctor will call the patient after taking a blood test and he will ask what medicine are they taking. Several times when the patients have said none, they have said you are taking something because your blood is clean. What we are seeing is it does not work if they are taking chemo. The chemo overides the effect of the hedge apple. I made 33 pounds in six weeks a year ago but still have plenty as it only goes by word of mouth. You can use it if you are sick or use it daily to stay healthy. There are no side effects other than a small diarrhea when you first start if you take more than a 1/4 teaspoon a day. Warning if you make it, use gloves and goggles. The dust can get in your eyes and you will think you need to go to the hospital. It stings like glass in your eyes and I could not wash it out. What I found is take toilet paper and lay against your eyeball and it will stick to the paper and pull away from your eye. God bless and let you bless others.

Ever think of selling it yourself? I know I would be a buyer. I live in NoCen IL and this weekend we're getting the mother of all blizzards so no Osage orange here. You could have yourself one excellent side hustle...just saying.

Great story Rick. Thanks for sharing. We live in Southwest Michigan, and we pick them up along the roadside in the Fall and put them in the garage to keep mice out. Next Fall I'll have to get some and follow your directions for taking it myself. God supplies all of our needs!

There are sellers of osage oranges on Amazon, I recently bought some. I am making a tincture out of them. Also froze some. You may still be able to buy them now if some of those sellers keep a frozen supply. (They are more perishable than I thought.)

Oh I know, I saw them but there's a lot of "critical' reviews too. It's hard to find a good seller that won't send spoiled ones. Thanks Vera!
