Need Help for Breathing Issues NOT Caused by COPD

PK (Phoenix AZ) on 09/07/2021

I was diagnosed with copd and emphysema. They couldn’t figure out what is wrong with me so I have been placed in a category. Have gone thru all the copd medicines. Nothing helped and had terrible side effects.

I’ve been on HP therapy in the nebulizer 4 times daily. It doesn’t always help coughing up mucus. I get real hot and can hardly catch my breath. My oxygen level is 98 but my heart rate is over 100. I do breathing exercises for about ten minutes to bring the HR down below 90. Then I can clear my throat. I don’t have copd. Can anyone tell me what natural remedies that can help me?

I read and look around for answers a lot. I read Dr.Batmanghelidjs book Your body's many cries for water and learned so much I ordered his other books. He has one on the lung issues and it was very interesting. He puts pictures in them and explains why this or that is going on. Basically our body is water and mineral salts. When it gets low it cuts off the less needed systems to use the resources for the most urgent systems. Like first your fingers and toes hurt, then ankles and wrist then knees and elbows and all this to keep the brain and heart going. I gave my sister in law this book and she no longer has asthma.

PK –

Here are a few ideas that may help your problem.

Colloidal Silver for lung disease

The child was diagnosed aged two (homozygous ΔF508) following investigations for faltering growth. He had extensive left lower lobe bronchiectasis and positive Pseudomonas aeruginosa cultures at diagnosis. This organism persisted despite aggressive IV antibiotics, long term nebulized colomycin, bronchoscopy and a prolonged in-patient stay. Aged three he developed pseudomembranous colitis requiring prolonged intensive care. Aged six he developed severe, steroid-dependent, relapsing allergic broncho-pulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) and right mid-zone bronchiectasis. Atopic asthma also proved increasingly problematic, with evidence of sensitization and wheezing in relation to several aeroallergens, including house dust mite and cat. He had a significant step up in FEV1 after a trial of rhDNase (pulmozyme) and this drug was added to his treatment regime. Spirometry plateaued around 60%, with frequent deteriorations caused by wheezing episodes and infective exacerbations. Aged 10 his FEV1 deteriorated to 40% predicted with severe episodic wheeze. A Brompton referral was made to consider monthly IVIG therapy (not given) and regular IV antibiotics and aggressive ABPA treatment were recommended.

Aged 11, the patient isolated Burkholderia multivorans and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. Pulmonary status deteriorated to an FEV1 of 24%. In March 2006, he was treated with prolonged IV and oral antibiotics, steroids and antifungals. Lung function recovered to around 40% but he remained markedly symptomatic, with persistent cough, breathlessness and wheeze after physical activity. Because of these complications he was referred for heart–lung transplant assessment.

At the same time, the family discovered websites promoting colloidal silver for CF and purchased the product from their local health food shop. They independently commenced 2.5 mL b.i.d. of the solution in July 2006. Over the next three months the patient achieved a sustained improvement in symptoms, which persisted following weaning from oral steroids, nebulized antibiotics and regular asthma medications. He has continued rhDNase treatment. FEV1 peaked at 60% (Figure 1). The family declined transplant assessment. He remained well for a year, enjoying a skiing holiday, full participation in school rugby matches and significant improvements in his golf handicap. He required only one further course of IV antibiotics until a recent deterioration coinciding with temporary interruption of colloidal silver for a month. Whereas sputum samples had consistently isolated B. multivorans before receiving silver, there had only been one further positive isolate during the year when he received it. He has remained well for a further six months after resuming colloidal sliver, with no other changes in his routine care.

Another choice to nebulize is Grapefruit Seed Extract GSE. In a nebulizer, Use 1-2 drop GSE in 1/2 oz distilled saline water or Colloidal silver in nebulizer for 5-10 minutes 4xdaily.

If I was in your situation, I would nebulize CS and take it internally daily.

Garlic

Also, I would add garlic to your diet. Fresh is always best. But, if you can’t do fresh garlic internally like me (makes me want to puke). The mennonites shows me those making your own garlic powder capsules is the way to take garlic. After a lot of trial and error, store bought garlic powder wont work. The allicin levels are to weak. I think it has something to do with the processing of making the garlic powder or it cultivation.

So one day I was at my local healthfood store speaking with the owner. She has 40+ years experience in natural medicine. I asked her what was the differents between garlic powder bought at stores like walmart and the garlic powder she sells in jars by the ounce? She explained that the co-op that her wholesaler buys from has farmers all over the world that cultivate herbs using old practices of ensuring that the herb plant has the proper micro-nutrients so that plant can produce the proper chemicals for healing the body. Their soil is not depleted of nutrients unlike modern farming practices. So I decided to try her garlic powder. And yes there is a differents. Hers was 3x stronger then any of the grocerystore brands I had purchased. I’ll only load capsules now with this brand. Her supplier was Frontier Co-op.

Also, I would make garlic infused olive oil and add tea tree oil and apply this mixture to your chest, back and neck every night (giving your skin a break during the day and not becoming over saturated). Standard recipe is 10ml tea tree oil to every 100ml garlic oil.

Howdy, PK

It could be mold exposure. Happens often. Some of the suggestions you have already received can help with mold.

Using a castor oil pack on chest can help with whatever the cause. It is mentioned elsewhere on earthclinic.

Best to use organic castor oil bottled in glass.

Best wishes to you.....

Someone else mentioned it could be mold. Some people don't recognize that they've been exposed but I have seen people with the same symptoms as me without having mold exposure as I've had, but they are big coffee and alcohol drinkers, which both have mold spores. The other thing it could be is EMF. I have ElectroHyperSensitivity (EHS) with Fibromaylgia which is triggered by wireless frequencies from things like mobile phones, laptops, ipads etc. Not many people realize that EMF causes red blood cells to Rouleaux which means they stick together and when they do this, they can't carry oxygen around the body so you experience breathlessness and often blocked lung meridians. I use a Bian Stone to do deep lymph work to unblock these meridians and I can breathe again.

Turning all electricity to your bedroom off at night can help, check to see if you have a smart meter, stay off your mobile phone as much as possible and monitor to see if you have less oxygen after using it for some time. Other things like earthing and walking barefooted can help too. If you want to see if this is what's happening, take an Aspirin. If you experience immediate relief, it is but don't continue on the Aspirin as it can cause stomach ulcers and internal bleeding when used often.

I try to find simple remedies & these 2 couldn't be any simpler. Also agree that this looks like a good candidate, colloidal silver: https://www.earthclinic.com/colloidal-silver-for-lungs.html

Then I have had some success with the Sapien Medicine frequencies. This one is to increase oxygen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88SAlZfXmDk

Good Luck. Hope you let us know what works.

What helped me with wheezing was taking a liquid mineral supplement with fulvic acid.

Hi PK,

Two supplements that might be of use to you are quercetin and Dash Table Blend seasoning.

In 2016, I realized that quercetin dihydrate powder from BulkSupplements really helped my lungs and sinuses, and gave me energy. I take a half level measuring teaspoon (about 500 mg) per day. I have taken up to 2 level teaspoons (2 grams) per day.

There is also the 14 herb Dash Table Blend seasoning in the 6.75 oz bottle in the Walmart spice aisle. Some of the herbs are expectorants, meaning they clear lung and sinus mucus.

Taking 1/2 slightly rounded measuring teaspoon per day with water has thinned and liquefied my lung mucus for decades. It cured some laryngitis I had within the same afternoon.

I now take a level teaspoon per day for no particular reason as the smaller dose worked fine.

A few months back I had something similar to what you described. I tried my normal nebulizing peroxide but it was not helping. I ended up at the doctor and got a round of steroids and antibiotic. It did not help. They gave me another round and still nothing. I was gasping for air at times. I lost 10 lbs and felt HORRIBLE!!! I then started taking oil of oregano. I would take one capsule every couple hours. By the next day I could breath and the mucous went away as well. Oil of oregano did the trick!

I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Hi PK,

Maybe Ivermectin would work for your lung congestion problems.

I caught my first Covid chest cold in early November of 2020. Covid coats and cements the lungs with mucus.

Well, I got over it in three weeks with BulkSupplements vitamin D-3 powder for the lungs/stomach inflammation, and a PlusPharma 220 mg (50 mg) zinc sulfate capsule as needed for the sore throat. I was taking a zinc capsule every four hours at the high point for a few days. Now, I take just one zinc sulfate capsule mornings and I also take two Swanson zinc picolinate 22 mg capsules in the afternoons. PipingRock has periodic great deals on 50 mg zinc picolinate capsules.

But this is not about zinc. It's about Ivermectin.

I caught the Covid chest cold again several months later, requiring the same 3 weeks of forced coughing to get the lung mucus out. My nose also ran like a faucet for probably 10 days. I use paper towels to blow my nose, which work well.

So I started taking the Durvet Ivermectin (IVM) horse paste on July 1, 2021. I bought 3 boxes on Amazon but the price has gone up. Maybe feed stores would be less expensive. One .21 oz (6.08 gram) box lasts me 3 months.

Important: Seven days later, the IVM precipitated the same Covid chest cold as twice before, but this time I think in order for the IVM to clear out my lungs for good. I force-coughed up mucus for 3 weeks, but then my lungs were clear, and it feels like for good.

No doubt, the Dash Table Blend seasoning kept my lung and sinus mucus thinned out with it's expectorant herbs, so coughing the phlegm up was possible, a little mucus at a time each morning. The lung mucus moves into a position to be coughable when lying down overnight. Then the mucus can be coughed up in the morning.

My daily taking of 500 mg of quercetin dihydrate powder was also probably helpful to move the mucus out of my lungs.

The IVM dose I use, obtained from a forum and later confirmed by a product label, is .2 times my body weight in kilograms, which for me is 95 kg.

So .2 x 95 = 19 milligrams of IVM twice per month.

Each little section of horse paste has 5 mg of IVM, so I take 4 sections of the paste on the 1st and again on the 16th of each month. So it's 20 mg of IVM twice per month.

Now, I don't seem to have any Covid reactions after being in stores and restaurants, so I have to believe the IVM has immunized me to Covid, possibly by clearing out my lungs and eliminating that lung breeding ground.

I’m confused. If your cold was from Covid 19 you would have surely developed a robust immunity and not come down with it again? Whatever I hope you are well and truly over it and thanks for your advice and experience ❤️
