There are clinics at the supermarket and local drug stores. The media says that the government is extra happy as the strain coming in (EXTRA EARLY, and EXTRA CATCHY! ) seems to be a GOOD MATCH for the shots they are putting out.
I saw THREE television shows today saying we all need flu shots.... From my local news, "The DOCTORS" and the great and powerful "Doctor OZ". All in one afternoon!
I am not the sharpest tool in the shed by any means, but I DO know that the flu shot contains mercury. I do know that the mortality rates quoted for the flu (35, 000 a year!!! ) are actually NOT from the flu, but from complications of the flu (ie pneumonia).
If anyone has any thoughts they would like to share on the flu and flu shots, I would love to hear them.

Hi Carly, I have to agree with you. Personally, I think it's scary. And yes, they do have mercury in them. It's weird how there are signs everywhere- grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. all loudly proclaiming "Now available"! I have never had one nor do I ever intend to. I would rather use the approach of creating a healthy immune system instead of putting in more toxins! Last night, a mom of one of my dancers said to me, "Flu season is here, I really need to get E*** a flu shot so she doesn't get sick. " I blurted out, "No! Don't do that! " And she looked at me like I was out of my mind. Her response is that she gets her one every year. She's only 14! Yikes. I suggested she work to strengthen her immune system with herbs, vitamin C, eating well, etc. She quickly changed the subject.
I do my best to try to help others find their health through diet, herbs, vitamins and educate them but when everyone is being bombarded and brainwashed, it's disheartening. Anyway, let's do our best to help educate about self-care in maintaining our health. Best to you, Lisa

The problem I have is they are requiring us in hospitals to receive the flu shot. If we don't receive the shot we cannot work.Replied By Planky (New York, United States) on 10/13/2013
I got the flu shot for seniors four days ago and have never had a reaction to shots but this time I did. You cannot see where I go the shot but my left arm hurts and it is painful to lift my arm. I cannot sleep because I can't get comfortable. Never again!Replied By Susu (Sacramento Ca) on 01/13/2014
Here it is a year after the hyper flu media frenzy and it's happening again, only worse. They talk about it like it's news but it's really advertising. The headlines, "People are Dying" really laying it on thick. Even tho Dr Oz is recommending flu shots and he had one himself on his show, his own wife and children do not get a flu shot. I can only imagine the problems that has caused him with the producers and advertisers, drug companies, etc. He is willing to get injected on TV to make up for it and he is willing to tell everyone else to get their kids and themselves injected...but he is not willing to inject his wife or children.Replied By Prioris (Fl) on 01/13/2014
I'll bet member of Congress and their families don't get vaccinated either. They always push the fear angle by saying so many people are dying of this or that. Of course, they neglect to mention that all these deaths fall within the norm.
Dr. Oz tows the line. He'll advocate chemotherapy and vaccines because he knows he won't have a show if he doesn't. I wonder how much of the listening audience actually sees a red flag in Dr Oz family not wanting the shot.
