I've been doing ACV 2TBS in 2 cups of water with 1/4 TSP baking soda. How can you do this? My acid reflux is about to kill me. I've been doing this for 5 days. How long do you do this, forever? Should I use less vinegar and no baking soda? The positive is my diareah is less and my skin looks better already. I'm not as tired, but the stomach....ouch. Please give suggestions, I believe, I just need somekind of adjustment. Thanks.Replied By Teresa (Dequeen, Arkansas, United States) on 07/30/2010
I'M DOING ACV/BS BUT I FOUND ON THIS SITE A TEASPOON OF MUSTARD IS GOOD FOR ACID REFLUX. SINCE I STARTED DOING IT, I HAVE NOT BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT. HOPE THIS HELPS AND THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL THESE HOME REMEDIES!Replied By Kyrelle (Gilmer, Tx) on 10/11/2010
I find that I sometimes need digestive enzymes, too. If I feel signs of indigestion, I take an enzyme right away then the ACV/BS 'cocktail' right before bed. Works for me.Replied By Seth (California, US) on 03/18/2015
Diana, the reflux could be due to the fact that baking soda is alkaline, and a person's stomach is supposed to be pretty acidic.
Try taking the ACV with no baking soda to see if it keeps the acid reflux down.
On another note, does anybody know the explanation to why ACV and baking soda gives so much energy? I'm curious about the scientific facts. Any book recommendations would be great.

Think I'm going to try the ACV/baking soda. I've been dragging around for the past 30 years........so very tired! Thought I had reached the end of my rope until Anthony threw me some more rope. My friend's husband has FMS too. I'm sending him A's reply! 😁.
