There is a simple way to see if Hydrogen Peroxide contains stabilizers: Pour 1/2 cap of hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water. If the color has yellow (or other off colors), it has a stabilizer. It is best to set it out in the sun where it is easier to see. If the hydrogen peroxide (H202) remains colorless when mixed in a glass of water, it usually does not have a stabilizer.

Almost all H2O2 sold in drug stores will have stabilizers, actually to discourage people to use them internally. So you can use this as a way to compare them. Basically, hydrogen peroxide poured into a clean glass and left out in a sun covered by a dish should not have air bubbles. If it does, there are metal contaminants. If you are asking for trouble, a drop of ammonia solution in H2O2 mixed in water will cause a rapid air bubble generation. It is more unstable if it has stabilizers. You can try the experiment and compare the results.

The test for this is not perfect one, but the key is the color, even when you add just a small amount of water in direct sunlight. Also, a good quality H2O2 doesn't get small bubbles during storage.

By the way, an easy way to test the quality of your drinking water is to add 10% of 3% H2O2 to 90% Water and perform the test by noticing air bubbles. If there are a lot of air bubbles for the next 6 hours, then the water has either too much organic residues OR heavy metals. During the test please keep in places AWAY from children. After the test immediately discard the contents into the sink. Ted"

09/14/2007: Ron from Temiskaming Shores, Canada writes: "Great site. I wanted to put my 2 cents in about Hydrogen Pyroxide (HP). I went to Wal-Mart to purchase some HP and when I got it home I noticed that my bottle of HP had the skull and cross bones on the front of it. Yikes!! The lable reads "POISON" because this particular brand contains stablizers. The previous brand that I bought did not have stablizers in it and did not have the skull and cross bones symbol on the front. I dont't think I want to try to ingest the poison type of HP. I think readers should be made aware that there is a difference and to be careful when buying HP, to make sure they find one without stablizers."

09/17/2007: Ted from Bangkok replies, "Remedies require food grade H2O2 except in instances of external use. H2O2 can't be labelled poison if it is for external use (as in antiseptics) since other contact poisons go directly through the skin killing you. Stabilizers can't do this. Most labeling no longer uses the skull and bones, at least not on H2O2, since hydrogen peroxide more often causes skin burns only if used in high concentration and are classified as caustic solutions. Even hydrochloric acid might also be considered a poison, but our stomach produce plenty of it. I don't think labels are consistent in classifying it"

I got some info about using hydrogen peroxide internally as a douche, however I did not research and for two days have been using a non measured dose of hp (the kind that was a dollar at the pharmacy) with distilled water. What is the damage that could be done?

I read the post regarding stabilzers and bought the 3% drug store type from Wal Mart & Kogers. I didn't think there were any it the product because listed on the label under inactive ingredient it only says purified water on both bottles. Also did the sunlight test and bubble test and both bottles passed. After ingesting H202 for a couple of days I called the poisen info. # on the back of the bottle and they had no information but advised against ingesting. The Kroger's bottle had a product information 800 number that I called. I asked if the product contained stablizers and in about one minute I had an answer. The kind women read off about five chemical stablizers and additives that were not listed on the label. As soon as I hung up I went online and ordered 35% Food Grade H202. I did use the rest of the two bottles to put in my bath. To those of you who posted that you are drinking the 3% H202 from your local CVS. Rite Aid's or Walgreens I highly recommend you check out what's in it before you continue drinking it.

You can buy food grade in health food stores in the states. I am in Hawaii and bought some here and when I lived in Michigan. (NOTE: most stuff in health food stores is not healthy). I have used it for years.

When buying the Food Grade H202 it has to be bought online. It cannot be bought in stores, the food grade H202 is 35%, yes it may be more costly, but it's better to be safe than sorry using regular peroxide. Mixing the H202 with a 8oz. glass of distilled water and drinking it daily has proven to help someone with cancer, to this day he is still free of cancer.

When I do this I use the recipe from "The One Minute C---e" book by Madison Cavanaugh. You start with one drop of food grade 35% HP in 8 oz, 3x per day, and increase by one drop every day until you reach 30 drops or so. You can find the book on eBay. It's getting harder to find and more expensive.

You can buy food grade 35 h2o2 in Canadian health food stores with no problem. You have to give name and address since it's a controlled substance but it's readily available here, doesn't have to be bought online.

Hi Troy, I started this protocol a couple of weeks ago, got to 15 drops ok but then the nausea hit.. I reduced, eventually going back to 10 for a few days and only twice a day. Gradually increased, still 2 x day but seem to be stuck at 13 and feel nausea a lot of the time. I find it hard to even drink plain water now. I do have it at least an hour before having an organic coffee in the morning which settles me a bit. Then at least 3hrs after lunch and an hour before tea.

I use a good water filter that says this is what it does "Independent lab reports show the ProMaxTM reduces/removes a broad range of 200 + contaminants including VOC's, lead, fluoride, heavy metals, pesticides, SVC's, disinfectants, inorganic non-metallics, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, PFOA, PFOS and micro-organisms." It only removes 98-99% of most things though.

So I'm wondering how you got on, what water you used as there's those that say it must be distilled yet the One minute book says you can have it in juice?! It is confusing for sure.
I'm in Australia and got the 35% food grade online and she said my filtered water should be okay.

I'm also wondering about how to continue, staying at the 13 drops, trying to increase... I just know I'd prefer to continue and not stop!

Any input or suggestions, I'd be glad to know. Thanks.

Hi Wendy and others: Food grade (35% H2O2) most definitely can be bought in health food stores--that is where I get mine. Call around.

You can also purchase some off of amazon. Com, which is where I get mine. I used it to cure my athletes foot. And to the person above me, I went to Denison University, so yay for Granville, OH lol. Best of luck everyone, this is great stuff.

Hi readers, I just need let you know that I was looking for a homemade douche solution online and found one that said to use HP. My first thought was, "How could that be when it says right on the bottle to only use externally?" My first thought was quickly replaced by the intrigue of what I was reading. I tried it immediately and before I was done pumping it inside, I began to cramp and then bleed. I have been bleeding, not heavily, for a day now. I feel so stupid, but fooled at the same time. Please help.

Like others have already suggested ... This person may have had a polyp or something within that the douche apparatus ruptured.... It also sounds like she did NOT dilute the H202 down from 3% to 0.5% (1/2 of 1%), which is VERY IMPORTANT, because internal tissues are a LOT MORE SENSITIVE than external!!!

Did you dilute the HP? I have used it as a douche but diluted it 1part HP to 3 parts water. I did not have a problem.

In response to the woman who is now bleeding from using H2O2 as a douche... Perhaps she has vaginal polyps and the instrument used to administer the douche broke open the polyp and she is experiencing the bleeding from the disturbed polyp. In any case, she should see her GYN immediately!

I used regular store hydrogen peroxide as a douche for a couple of nights when I had an infection and it was fine. Got rid of my infection. The only other think was to also put up vit. C 500mg not the chewable flavoured kind to restore the acidity and then a tablet of acidophilis to restore good bacteria. Gets rid of many vaginosis/yeast/stinky issues. I only did it about 3 times over a 2 year period but way better than taking antibiotics. Never tested for stabalizers or anything. I was fine. If you're bleeding and it is not your period time then you may have other issues, in my opinion, and you should go see your Dr. or try some nice soothing natural oils like conconut oil or olive oil up there to sooth the tissues.

Help...I Am Confused! I am reading a book about H2O2...The Oxygen Prescription. He states and CAUTIONS against taking HP with juice, milk, or other flavorings because it will create oxidation, .....robbing the oxygen, which is what you are trying to get into the bloodstream. Adding HP to anything but oil or water will cause disputation and destruction of the HP. Cautions also against using water that contains IRON. That's why he states to use distilled water! No tap water that has fluoride and other chemicals. No iron tablets within an hour before. I was told milk or juices are O.K. by another book........now if you think about it, Veg. Juice has Iron and minerals in it from the Vegs. I do....know that this book was written back in 2007, so I am hoping new studies have been done and this information is outdated! Just don't know which information is correct?? Can someone get back to me ASAP! Thanks. Bernadette

This video helped explain to why it's important to take FGHP on an empty stomach and why we need to for both safety and efficacy purposes. From what I have researched, it makes a lot of sense to take FGHP on an empty stomach and follow the pre/post eating and supplementation guidelines. How close can the three a day doses be? Due to eating, I can take the 2nd and 3rd dose within 2 or 3 hours of each other in order to eat and sleep for my work schedule; Anyone?

In reply to how to take the HP, l have been taking the 35% food grade HP for 28 days now, started with 3 drops 3 times a day, increasing 1 drop per day thru the 25th day now l am at 25 drops for the last 3 days. I get up anywhere early in the morning to use the bathroom, from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m don't know if you have that problem, but, l already have my 3 bottles prepared for the next day, so, l take my first one anywhere between the hrs l showed. l am semi-retired and don't have to get up early any more unless l want too. l am taking HP for diabetes ll trying to get my blood levels down. the book l have is the one minute c--e, which only takes a minute to take the product, is why it is named that way and a cent and a half per bottle of 6 to 8 oz of distilled water, l only use Zero water myself. Not sure why you are taking the HP but when l first started l was using 6 oz of zero water, but when l got to the 18 drops l started using milk because the taste is not pleasant milk seems to help.

Rich, I had a fast growing, beginning to choke lump in my throat that scared me into searching fro non-invasive ways to reverse it. That led me to HP, which I then soaked my mouth with 90 days several times a day, at 3% with the stabilizers. The lump disappeared in that 3 months and never returned.

The oxygen entered my blood through my thin mouth skin and that extra oxygen attacked the lump cells destroying them.

I found Medline sells HP through Amazon - 4 gallons at about $33 and shipping is cheap. I take it as a diluted drink in water.

I would like to see actual scientific evidence that the cheap drug store stuff is harmful. I just don't buy it. My bottle says for external use and as a mouth wash. And we all know that things applied to the skin are absorbed through the skin and some of that mouthwash either is swallowed or enters the body by osmosis through the gums. Also, if it so dangerous, how come you can apply it directly to a cut or a wound? Sure, food grade is probably better, but if all you can afford or find is the cheap stuff, it's certainly ok to take it internally in small amounts.
