Apple Cider Vinegar didn't work for me. I tried it and the gout just kept getting worse. I am not doubting the experiences of others or saying the ACV was a contributor to the situation, just offering the caution that it doesn't work for everyone. It has taken an initial Prednisone treatment and sustained Amlodipine to get me back on my feet (literally).

I wish the ACV had worked! I like apple cider so I didn't find the taste of ACV in water objectionable.

Just so you know... It HAS to be the raw, organic, unfiltered ACV with "mother". Could you possibly have bought the filtered or "clear" ACV? If so... that offers absolutely NO nutritional value, and lacks the anti-imflamitory properties you need.

I've been taking organic ACV with mother for 2 days now, with no relief at all. I think it might have even gotten worse. The first day I tried 2 tbs of the ACV in 8 oz of tart cherry juice, once in the morning and then before bed. Today I up it to 4 tbs and no relief whatsoever. I even tried 1 tbs of baking soda in 8 oz of water, no relief. I don't know what else I can do?

Jim from LA, You may want to investigate a condition called Pseudogout (MayoClinic.com)

As I understand it, Pseudogout, also called calcium pyrophosphate deposition (CPPD) disease, is not caused by uric acid crystals but by a form of calcium crystal. The pain and presentation of symptoms are almost identical with one usual difference, the big toe is not the primary area of attack.. Rather it is the knee, but as with "regular" gout it can attack other areas, hands, wrists, shoulders especially. I haven't researched what is on the web yet about this condition. It may be what is causing my symptoms as they are always in the right knee first and worst. Hope this helps you or someone.. Else. Good luck!
