I searched out this website by googling gas in upper back.

I ate spaghetti with tomato sauce two days in a row and both times I got sever pains in my upper back and I remember my mom and sister talking about gas in the back years ago, so right away I knew what was happening, I tried stretching and laying on objects to move the pain, and it helped for a second but the pain came right back. I decided to put 1 tsp of baking soda in an 8oz glass of warm water and it helped me to burp and it immediately took the pain away.

It is a miracle and I will make sure I always have it in my refrigerator. I use Apple Cider vinegar in some of my recipes and have always heard it is a good remedy for different ailments so I will start drinking it as needed after this last episode.

Thanks for all the information from this site. Natural is the way. Thanks so much!

I always use about a teaspoon of Baking Soda dissolved in about 1/4 cup of warm water, for heartburn/too much stomach acid. It works immediately unlike Rolaids, etc and is not only cheap but usually readily available at home.

I brush my teeth with it too. I first put toothpaste on the brush and dip it in a small plastic container I keep in my bathroom. It removes plaque instantly and helps to keep my breath fresher.

I sprinkle about 1/2 a cup each week on top of the cat litter in the cat box to keep it from smelling. It works great in humid or rainy weather.

As I'm writing this I can feel my stomach bubble from the baking soda. I also took two mild charcoal tablets and I'm sipping on tea. I've only gotten this sort of pain twice in my life, the last time it felt like I had a baby inside me trying to rip its way out. That was intense. I went to the hospital as I was really worried - they couldn't do anything as the beds were full and told me to wait! I eventually got better after originally taking 5 pills of two different pain killers, but jeez I wish they gave me reassurance that it was wind!

Nonetheless, with my story told, don't sit around wallowing in pain like I did for the las half hour. Get off your bum and make some herbal tea, scull some baking soda mixture, and invest in some charcoal tablets.
