I used to have normal pain free periods in my late teens and early twenties, after two babies and now into my thirties, my periods are crazy! Sometimes they're nothing, sometimes they're heavy bleeding for days, I mean 14-30 days! When I was in my early twenties I used to take BSM daily to avoid cramps, I thought it would help because of the iron. Well now I've discovered I need this for heavy bleeding and I believe it's from the potassium! Minerals are so important and symptoms of low potassium include heavy bleeding, fatigue, headaches, cramps, etc. all typical symptoms of a menstrual cycle. So here I am, on day 14 of a heavy period and I started taking BSM yesterday (1tbsp) and once this morning and my bleeding is bare minimum borderline spotting, yesterday I had heavy bleeding and clots the size of pecans. I will report back, but so far this is working!
