I have just bought a few booklets with loads of suggestions for the house, beauty products you can make yourself, health.... I can't post reviews because they are in French but if anybody who reads French is interested I can post the names. Once in a while I will post some of the tips which are often quite good! This time a few tips concerning the lemon: If you, like me often have dirty nails (no idea why my nails get so dirty, they are not long or anything.... ), plunge them in half a lemon. I keep used lemons for that purpose, also to use as deodorant, the best ever!

I have also started drinking a glass of lemon juice and water first thing in the morning, 1/3 lemon, 2/3 water. They have a cure where you drink more and more lemon juice every day and then back off the same way but I haven't tried that. One thing I found interesting, they suggest lemon juice for conjuntivitis, does anyone agree? I would be afraid to try! As I have those unsightly white stains on my skin I am using lemon juice to try to equalize the skin and at the same time also get rid of brown spots. So far no luck but I will keep on trying!

What about a mask of honey and lemon against the wrinkles? Three tbspoons of honey with a few drops of lemon, apply and leave for 30 minutes.

Really great books! I have learnt a lot about lemon, vinegar, clay, salt, baking soda, bier yeast, etc.

Makes sense since lemon has long been known as a liver detoxifier.

I also use it as part of my weekly face exfoliator. I pat on a mixture of lemon and extra virgin olive oil, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then *gently*, with small circular motions, use sugar to exfoliate. Works great!
