I have no answer for you but another way seems to be fenugreek with water. Make a paste, apply and let dry. I haven't tried yet but I read it in one of my books.Replied By Mas (Rockville, Maryland) on 12/26/2011

Is shaving alum the same thing? thats the only one I've been able to find. Can I just dip it into rosewater and then apply it to my skin, will that work the same?Replied By Citygirl27 (Richardson, Tx, Usa) on 10/13/2012
I can't remember the brand but it is in the section of Asian markets where the skin care, shower products and hair care are located. Found it near some maca products.
