I have no answer for you but another way seems to be fenugreek with water. Make a paste, apply and let dry. I haven't tried yet but I read it in one of my books.

Hi, I have excessive facial hair and have tried so many kind of hair removing method including laser treatment but nothing really worked for me. I've been using alum and rose water for the past 2 months and I can definately see the improvement. The hair does grow back but much finer. I bought the alum at an asian store in Rockville, Maryland. Thank you

Even though it's been a long time now since you gals posted this, could you still share:

How many times you do it?

What brand the alum powder you used?

I am using the alum powder that comes crushed and in a plastic bag, but usng the big solid alum sounds perfect. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS! :D

Is shaving alum the same thing? thats the only one I've been able to find. Can I just dip it into rosewater and then apply it to my skin, will that work the same?

I can't remember the brand but it is in the section of Asian markets where the skin care, shower products and hair care are located. Found it near some maca products.
