If weight loss is desired, there is a much simpler protocol, just avoid the sugars, fats and carbohydrates. When Dr. Atkins died, he did have a high cholesterol level. So obviously fatty liver can be from high fat meats, and fatty liver can occur. Hence granulated lecithin 1 teaspoon twice a day is taken also to restore liver to it's normal state, by removing the fats using a fat emulsifiying lecithin. In any case if you want to market any latest weight loss fad, it has to be complicated enough that people will buy book, too simple is simply unmarketable. Weight gain is generally seen as too much sugar in the system is converted to glycogen and fats, and fats are simply that, the body has great difficulty converting fats to energy, while proteins has little or no energy content and hence doesn't make you fat in general. However, as in all sugar, carbohydrate and protein they make your body acid, and the first organ to go is the pancreas since that's the major organ that has the most bicarbonates and hence are sensitive to acid forming food.
In addition, there are key amino acid more directly lated to weight loss, these include, l carnitine and often taken together with alpha lipoic acid, but also glutamine and glycine, and now and then arginine and lysine. These are the common supplements I used for weight loss. Certain amino acid are inhibitory and act as appetite suppressant such as taurine and glycine. Some minerals are appetite suppressants such as boron that I see most often. I don't generally use excitotoxins such as phenylalanine as it tends to damage the nervous system and weight back come back with a vengence. That's cause these excitotoxins damages the nervous system by overexciting them. The same can be said for monosodium glutamate, in low amounts they increase appetite in high amounts they have opposite effect, but that damages the hypothalamus and causes lifelong obesity. This is why scientist inject MSG into weanling rats so they can become obese. The same effect is also true whenever vaccinations are given to babies and they sometimes do add monosodium glutamate into these vaccinations.
One particular mineral besides boron that acts as mineral appetite suppressant is the zinc. Preferably I used zinc acetate, other forms such as zinc sulfate tend to induce vomiting. I believe it's the sulfate, and can be found also in epsom salt such as magnesium sulfate. Some may not be effected, but quite many Thais here seems to initiate vomiting after taking them in two or three hours will initiate vomiting. Generally zinc acetate is taken for only 50 mg per day for only one week, then I just stop them so that there's no exccessive zinc buildup and may take it again whenever the need arise a month or two.
EC: Incidentally, Ted (aka Parhatsathid Napatalung) was just quoted in Dr. Sircus' newsletter yesterday on this very subject! Here's the link to the article entitled, "The Pancreas, Bicarbonate and Diabetes" http://blog.imva.info/?p=649#arrive. Ted is quoted in the 2nd paragraph.

i have had chronic pancreatitis since 2005. I have also been hospitalized around 40 times for acute pancreatitis. I did not drink but did smoke. it took six years of testing and hospitalizations before doctors in pittsburgh at UPMC determined what the root cause of my attacks were. I have pancreas divism. basically, the duct that pancreatic enzymes flow through to reach the duodenum does not work. my enzymes flow through an auxillary duct which is very narrow compared to the main duct. this duct becomes blocked and the enzymes flow back into the pancreas and actually start digesting the pancreas. pancreas divism is not all that uncommon and usually won't cause acute pancreatitis by itself. pittsburgh did dna gene testing and determined that I have a mutated spink1 gene. this gene along with the divism keeps causing me to have acute pancreatitis over and over. there is no cure but I periodically have stents placed into my pancreatic duct to ensure enzyme flow.
pancreatitis has become more common over the past 15-20 years, especially in men. for people who don't drink alcohol, diet is probably the main cause. a low fat diet helps to keep the pancreas from working too hard. also, foods that are more difficult to digest like red meats should be minimized. there's no need to go full on vegetarian or vegan, but just limiting the amount of all meats in one's diet will be beneficial.
also, there are supplements with pancreatic enzymes that are helpful. anything with amylase, lipase, and protease can be taken to help digest food and keep the pancreas from having to work too much.
diet and supplements are good starts and can really help minimize pancreatic episodes. however, pancreatitis is very serious and there is no substitute for medical care by a specialist... And not a GI doctor, a pancreas specialist. I actually know more about acute and chronic pancreatitis than my family doctor.

Drink Green smoothie by Victoria Butenko. Cut back on fats, oils, and refined sugar. Blend 75% greens such as kale or collard greens with fruit and 20oz water in vitamin or high speed blender. Drink the pitcher for breakfast and lunch, you will feel lighter and in a week or so your symptoms will have improved dramatically. Stay away from alcohol and there is a list of drugs such as antibiotics that can cause acute pancreatitis, so research the list, you might have a reaction to one of these meds doing a quick google search for Drug Induced Acute Pancreatitis.

Just beware that everything marked organic may not be. My doctor had a patient that was young male started using a walker and he was declining. She began running a series of tests. a test revealed high glyphosate. The doctor asked the patient about his diet. Apparently, he had been drinking like six cups of organic green tea well the organic green tea was sprayed with glyphosate. Many times organic food can be sprayed with glyphosate, Anyhow the patient stopped the organic green tea and was cured no longer needed the walker. It is best to buy third party tested or farmer that you trust.

This might be worth noting, my doctor told me about a patient in his 30's that was using a walker. The MD ran tests and found high glyphosate. The doctor asked about his diet, he had started drinking ORGANIC green tea about a year ago, and he started drinking it 5 to 6 cups a day. Got him off the green tea and detoxed him he no longer needs the walker and went back to work . Just because it states it is organic doesn't mean it is so be cautious. Third party testing is important.

If you search on facebook there are a number of support groups for pancreatitis. Your children need pancreatitis specialist, and best thing for them to address that awful pain is an auto islet cell transplant. There are a number of centers that do this transplkant. I've had it for over 12 years, and am waiting to have the procedure done myself. Our center closed for a number of years, but is now up and running again in Tucson Banner Hospitial. I'm seeing Dr. Harland. He's very nice, and I do believe they see out of state patients as well. Other locations include Baylor in TX. MN, Nebraska, and MA all have pancreas centers. The FB groups hold a wealth of information. This said I would still take all the natural health recommendations one can get. I juice dandelion greens, spinach in equal amounts cucumbers, and fuji, or similar apples. It helps give energy and doesnt hurt me. I also eat soft foods in small amounts, like applesauce, puddings, veggies, soups, and can occassionally have a soft bread/cake treats, or ice cream. I can also do chocolate for treats. I use enemeez plus enemas for relief of gases and stool that causes presssure, and use miralax to keep stool soft. Thats important, for helping the pain. I also use domperidone for gasteoperisis. That's been very helpful. I am now doing antifungals like ivermectin to help with any viral condition, and for cleanses. I find it helps me a lot! I just feel better when Im on it. I have alot more to learn and expierment with in the natural health remedies, so that's why I stopped by today. This is my two cents on the subject. I realize I'm replying to an old post, but hopefully this might help others as well. Pancreatic conditions are horrific. Hopefully together we can find what works to heal, help, or cure these conditions.

I hope I can get a reply from you :). I also have pancreatitis and have had good results with black walnut. I see you use the hulda clark protocol with wormwood/cloves/black walnut. My problem is that as soon as I stop taking the black walnut my enzymes start getting trapped in my pancreas again and start to swell. So I was wondering if you experienced the same? And also how long do you take this stuff for because technically black walnut and wormwood are for sort term only.
Thanks in advance.

Back to the P and paras. I strongly advise a Basic Hulda Clark Zapper to be used as whole body and specifically in the problem area. The Zapper will increase the power of the herbs. Also consider adding the other herbs I mentioned in previous post to strengthen the original Black Walnut combo.
This should prove beneficial but if you still suspect infestation & infection you should try the best herbal combo called "Humaworm" which is awarded many successful testimonials.
Let us know of your progress.

Should I fast to give my pancreas a chance to heal or eat a low cholesterol diet to start? Do I take the 1/2 tsp baking soda in 8 oz water 2-3x/day 30 min after a meal, along with the alkalizing remedy (black walnut, clove, wormwood with oregano, chaparral, and myrrh, with zinc and niacin supplements to detox alcohol, and the 1/2 cup of both aloe and papaya juice 2x/day (does it have to be fresh food juiced or can I buy the juices?), and take 1/4 tsp borax in a liter of water for a week? Will I need to cleanse the liver and kidney after that's done or along side that? I started with taking 1/2 lemon juiced, 1 tbsp ACV, 1 tsp honey, 1/2 tsp tumeric powder, pinch cinnamon, pinch chilli pepper powder, pinch rosemary powder in a glass of warm water after waking up, and the 1 oz of lemon juice and olive oil 2x/day on an empty stomach (but it hasn't produced any stones) and have been adding 1/3 tsp burdock root powder, 1/3 tsp turkey rhubarb root, 1/3 astragulus root powder, 1 tsp honey, along with the heated liquid from 1 tsp ground milk thistle that was boiled and simmered for 20 min in a warm glass of water before going to bed.
I truly value your expertise and appreciate any help you can offer.

My son has chronic pancreatitis, he is 19 and it took over 11 years to get an accurate diagnosis. We were unable to find any real info on UK sites for children with pancreatitis and yes it is very frightening to be told your child has this especially when you read up on this disease. We have found a low fat diet is essential, when a flare up happens my son now avoids any food to allow the pancreas to rest. On occasions he has been hospitalised in order for him to be hydrated and he has had a lot of surgery. You have to educate yourself, your GP is unlikely to know much about the condition. There is far more info and support in the US for children with this condition so check out their sites and info. I am so sorry you are have two children with this but do the research and don't be scared to question the advice of the hospital or consultants. Also find out the most experienced consultant you can, under the NHS you have a right to choose and book ie you can request to be seen by any dr anywhere in the UK so find the best and don't just accept the local hospital unless they really are a specialist unit.

Melatonin has a very good safety profile and is naturally produced by the body suggesting lower potential for allergic reaction. Here in the states, it is readilly available and inexpensive. Melatonin acts as a potent antioxidant that scavenges multiple forms of radicals in the body, but also improves the bodies own highly potent antioxidant system while potentially helping to reduce an excessive inflamatory response. Melatonin is also protective of the major organs. Here are a few studies suggesting the benefit of melatonin for pancreatitis that you can print and discuss with your doctor. :
