Question: Teething Rash of 5 year-old. My daughter just turned 5 and is having 2 permanent teeth push through, one on her right bottom front and one is a molar on the right side as well.

She has a rash under her bottom lip, in the corners of her mouth and on her chin, sometimes it burns on her skin at the rash site. Does any parent have experience with this happening with their young child?... And how would anyone recommend treating the rash and minimizing the burning sensation that it is causing?

Thank you very much!, Ronda

Hi, I have found that if you always have a layer of vaseline around the mouth area the drooling etc from teething would not affect the skin. Especially at night it will help heal it if you put a thick layer of it around the chin and on lips mouth etc do it when the child is asleep it will be easier. During the day keep topping it up. Hope it helps.
