I became a vegetarian 5 months ago and am also a breastfeeding mom. I thought my loss of energy was simply a side effect from the birth and being up a lot at night. I started the "tonic" you describe a few weeks ago - a friend suggested it to me. WOW! My husband and I call it our "hippie drink" - 1-2tsp black strap molasses 1-2tsp apple cider vinegar (with the mother) 1-2tsp blue agave in purified water (about 8 oz.) - it will really rev you up in the morning an make you feel cleansed.Replied By Greensativa (Bullhead City, Arizona) on 01/01/2011

For my kids, I put 1 tbsp ACV in 4oz of cold "Simply Rasberry Lemonade" and add 4 drops of lemon juice. I suppose any brand of raspberry lemonade will work. You can smell the ACV a little but not taste it, they love it!Replied By Km (Mesa, Az) on 02/22/2012
Thank you for all those recipes. I too have found the taste of ACV and smell "gagging". But I have understood the health benefits outweigh the "gag", so I am going to try those recipes. Thank you.
