Shingles treatment: My mother used a high quality pure castor oil slathered on the worst spots. She applied it most heavily at night and wore old pajamas because it's messy, but it worked immediately for her. We found the remedy somewhere online, years ago, so I can't reference it. But it worked.

Unfortunately I have herpes outbreaks often over the many years of suffering and trying pharmaceuticals and natural remedies I found on my own that applying castor oil on a spot at the very first sign of an outbreak makes it go away very quickly. If you have cold sores it is the best for healing

It hasn't cured me of the virus but it sure helps with healing

There is no cure for the virus, it sits in the nerve root and b/c active under certain conditions. One is sunlight, another is a compromised immune system. L lysine also is good treatment for cold sores. When going out in the sun find a lip balm that is also a sun blocker, that keeps the virus at bay.

YES YES YES!!! I use Super Lysine whenever I start to feel run down, or if in the summer I've been out in the sun too long. If I miss the window and a cold sore starts, I go heavy on the Vitamin C (up to 10,000mg throughout the day) for a few days. Vitamin C can knock just about anything out, or at least keep it at bay until something else comes along. Also, for direct lip balm application, I use Herpecin-L, excellent stuff. Several dabs a day with h2o2 also helps.
