Dear Ted, For two years I have been having stomach problems. Feeling very sick to my stomach, full feeling when I eat, alot of belching, and lots of gas. With that and being very tired of taking Tums and other medication so that I can eat! I decided to visit the doctor to get answers. I underwent alot of test, I took a breathe test (for ulcers) an ultra sound (for ulcers) And last but not least what I disliked the most was the endoscopy, which was a around 4 months ago. During the endoscopy the doctor did find that I had stomach polyps. He did not remove them. Being that they are not cancerous. And I am still having problems with my stomach. I am currently taking Zantac, which is used to help so that I could at least eat but how long is a person to live off of Zantac?

My question is how can I find a natural cure for stomach polyps? I have searched the Internet alot and have been unable to find the answers that I need. Please help me for I am desperate for answers. I am afraid for this to become something more than what it is! The doctors are not helping me here at all, for them I am just another sick patient. Thank you for reading.

stomach polyps are usually viral, which basically kills off the P53 protein in the cells in the stomach lining, causing a somewhat uncontrolled growth. When they get out of hand they become cancer cells, in more safer form different viruses can exist as a skin tags and skin warts, but the mechanism is basically the same.

The viruses stays on intestinal lining a long time, much like warts and usually remain localized with sufficient immunity, but can expand whenever immunity is reduced. Viruses basically form colonies and expand by attaching to healthy cells and cancelling the P53 protein which regulate normal cellular growth.

The key obviously is to prevent viruses from attaching healthy cells, which is actually key to controlling viruses population, since their reproduction depends on that, much like the control of mosquito population, by reducing open still water and covering up sewers.

The only remedies I am aware of that prevent reproduction of virus on most viruses, fungus and bacteria, is xylitol, cranberries (mannose), aloe vera (manna sugar) mannitol (used in sweeteners), licorice extract and other non-fermentable or limited fermentable polyols. The key is not the amount, although this helps somewhat, it is keeping a steady stream of polyols through FREQUENCY OF DOSE to prevent virus from attaching the cells.

Typically the remedy I may use in this instance, specifically is cranberries, one 1 tablespoons 4 or 5 times a day at least, plus 1/4 teaspoon of xylitol in 1/4 glass of water in the same period, at least this is a conservative dose.

It should be noted that polyols work by killing them by preventing virus from attachment on infected cells to reproduce the virus, thus reduring their population by a "birth control" using xylitol and cranberries. Other combinations are acceptable such as xylitol and aloe vera, but cranberry and xylitol i think is better.

The second part of the remedy is to increase alkalization. However, the fact that you have used Tums is a real problem for me that in the long run makes for worse condition as most fungus, viruses, bacteria are generally attached to, or use them as protective shells to form colonies, in some form they become cysts, whenever excess calcium exists in the blood serum.

Cysts is nature's way of tucking "dirt" of calcium carbonate under the rug, to keep the blood free from calcium pollution, as too much causes blood clotting (leading to circulatory disease) and kidney stones. When a tiny cysts are formed, and the cell cysts are isolated and viruses attached to them are now so entrenched with nearby cells to infect, forming colon polyps in great number, healthy cells try to isolate them from further infection, so it becomes an island of colon polyps. These tiny cysts are also the seeds from which colon polyps are needed to grow on. You might noticed how a virus can attached themselves on calcium, but it should be noted that they do so indirectly by piggybacking on a bacteria (they use bacteria too, to produce the virus), or possibly become symbiotic with the fungus. Basically it's the polyols (sugar alcohol) which acts as a glue remover from attaching them to reproduce. However once they are loose free, generally many will die of by glucose starvation, since the cells also produce glucose, but extracellular fluids are low in sugar anyway limiting their growth. Hence, a blood high in zinc, such as zinc gluconate for example will kill the viruses. However, viruses are generally difficult to kill because they tend to attach to bacteria or other healthy cells to manufacture more viruses. By preventing their attachment and killing them with zinc supplements, the colon polyps are killed off this way. To discourage further growth, I would much prefer nutritional antibiotics, such as zinc gluconate supplements and magnesium citrates. A reasonable dose might be 50 mg of zinc gluconate 4 or 5 days out of a week plus 500 mg of magnesium citrate, in 5 days out of a week.

There is also another food source that research has shown to kill stomach polyps too, which is ellagic acid, where it is found in large amounts in raspberry as being the number one source. This can be taken such as 1-5 tablespoons of raspberries 4 or 5 times a day. The ellagic acid is a somewhat of a broad sprectrum antiviral, although, pomegranate can also be taken as it is synergistic too.

Finally the other problem about long-term alkalization is that I would need a proper alkalization to reduce calciumto a normal level where that alkalization have some chelating properties to remove excess calcium which seeds up the colon polyps. The best ones in this area is 2 tablespoon of lemon juice plus 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water two times a day. Or if the dose is too week against acid reflux, then three or four times can be slowly added to the remedy. It is often taken 5 days out of a week so that the body can detoxify during the no remedy period of two day, as well as served a controlling mechanism to prevent hidden problems too.

Finally people with long term Tums use may need vitamin B complex perhaps three times a week such as B50 (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B8, choline are 50 mg, while B9, B12, are about 50 mcg. The b complex is synergistic to allow the body to alkalize further through the actions of glucose controlling mechansim, such as in B1, B3, B6 for example, while a B12 has antiviral that is sometimes used in HIV patients too. Granulated lecithin one tablespoon a day along with food is the last remedies necessary to normalized the blood fats.

Certainly dietary controls is important which prevent colon polyps, but mostly from avoiding aspartame, fried foods, sugar, white flour and bread, as well as high pseudoestrogens found in nearly all canned foods and other packaged foods using plastics as it has Bisphenol-A, which tends to promote colony polyps growth. A remedy to reduce these comes from the ginestine found in soy milk and folate or folic acid found in vitamin B9, and hence I may need about 300-600 mcg of folic acid here. The dose is not exact, but there is an optimum folic acid dose around that region, that I still need to look into still.

One other "home remedy" that deserves mention, although I wouldn't recommend them as they lead to leaky gut, or may create small open wounds by killing off the colon polyps directly is the black salve. The amount most people use is too high, but 100 mg dose x 6 times a day might be a better dose. Still I wouldn't want to try it because of the open woulds that often lead to gastrointestinal pain or stomach pain and large stomach from such use, but it does remove them.

It should be noted that whenever the body is in metabolic acidosis, belching, lots of gas, acid reflux can be tamed provided that the body is sufficiently alkaline, not in the stomach, but in the blood, which discourages pathogens from initiating a histamine, or acid reflux response. The baking soda and lemon, in my opinion usually handles most of this problem, while cranberries, rasperries, xylitol will handle the rest in kiling the pathogens that causes the stomach problems. The key also is not to eat sour foods, which can initate H. Pylori growth and slow down the digestion. Eating bitter foods goes through the stomach faster than eating sour foods. this is how the Urease test are built on.

One interesting intake is that if the baking soda and lemon are taken more often, initially there is a lot of gas, but then the gas abruptly stops completely, after a couple of days because the alkalization killed of the pathogens. One easy way to know whether I am acid or not is to take the baking soda test. If I had a lot of belching, I need to take more, but if I don't have any, I take LESS baking soda, as I am more alkaline there. Apparently everyone has H. pylori, which causes the belching, but it is the alkalization is what keeps H. Pylori growth in check.

Question: Have trouble finding in the internet.

If you have searched the internet and cannot find it, you are not the only one. I have the same trouble myself. The real secret why I can find them is simply because I wasn't looking for them and the other thing is you need to know what to look for. Using the keyword colon polyps won't find it! You have to look for something else!

I have a carpet of stomach polyps and one larger one size of a baseball trying to shrink the larger one asap to avoid a operation and give me time to deals with the rest of them. No cancer thank G"D, but I can't leave that large mass as it can become dangerous. what is the best most effective way to shrink this large one down fast

I have had some success reducing polyps/growths by painting them with Lugols iodine using a Qtip. Doing this several times/day should shrink them relatively fast.

One should look to nuetralize acid by means of natural food such as baking soda and water or mustard etc. There are similarities in acid reflux caused by too much acid as there is too little acid. Many GI doctors don't test to see if too little acid is in the gut to properly digest food. Also antacids and low stomach acid cause stomach polyps. I have stomach polyps because of too little acid and my blood type ab- usually this blood type is relative to low stomach acid. Too much ant acid might be causing the issues and making matters worse. Get more tests..
