Having read a vinegar book i was later diagnosed with both boarder line diabetes and high cholestrol remembering the recipe i tried to reduce my cholestrol problem by use of ACV

the recipe is as follows:

2 cups of black grape juice
1 cup Apple Juice
1/2 cup ACV

mix, chill and drink 1/2 to 1 cup before your largest meal every day.

best to use concordia grapes they have the best tanin level. a good apple juice not consentrate gives fibre and the ACV. (dont use shop bought ACV for salads). unable to find a good local supplier i used ACV from a equine supplier fit for human consumption
my benifits are reduced weight, more energy, reduced lathergy and finding i also dont have 3AM hot sweats no more, just waiting for a blood test results for my cholestrol fingers crossed. Hopeful male

Update to previous publication: Apple Cider vinager, Recent blood test results back have shown excellent results (doctors words) previously 10.8 now 4.2 triglycerides, previously 6.2 cholestrol now 5, also lost 1 stone of weight but must start doing execise (not). A slight modification on the recipe i dont have the apple, i have increased the purple grape slightly with the cider vinager because what was not explained to me is i have boarderline diabetes and cholestrol taking the apple may increase my sugar level also since my blood test i have lost a futher 1lb in weight, over 5 months anyone trying these recipes good luck

What a disappointment after using Apple cider vinager for sometime now I have just been re-assessed with my doctor and the conclusion is that I have now got Accute pancreitis this seems to be my main trouble so now I am on a high quantity of flax oil two desert spoons and two high fish oil tablets, for the moment I have given up the ACV. I am due to go back to the doctors for another blood test if this shows that my AP problem has not reduced I will accept Statins and a high fish oil content capsules

I must stress the AP problem is not related to drink

Acute Pancreatitis is caused by high levels of Triglycerides which is what I am in danger of getting. It appears the ACV remedy does not work for this and I have yet to find a natural remedy. Statins have already sent me to the hospital so I refuse to take them. Has anyone else had this issue and found a natural remedy?

Shih Tzu Momma:

For elevated Triglycerides:

1.) Vitamin B5, (aka Pantothenic Acid & Pantethine.) Dosage: 300mg's three times daily.

2.)Psyllium Husk Powder: 1 heaping tsp. 1-2 times daily. My Family Practice Physician calls Psyllium Husk Powder the "Poor Man's Questran", (Questran is a Prescription Drug that treats elevated Triglycerides.)

3.) Guggullipids: A standard dose of guggul (plant extract) is 400-500mg taken three times daily with meals, totaling 1,200-1,500mg daily (although doses up to 2,000mg have been used before) If using the guggulsterones in isolation, a dose of 25mg taken thrice a day with meals is used.

4.) Omega 3's(e.g. Fish Oil, Krill Oil, Flaxseed Oil if you're a Vegetarian.) 4000 mg's of Fish Oil daily. I'm not sure about dosages on the other two.

Hello Shih Tzu,

Concerning "Acute pancreatitis"

From my reading and experience there are two causes of Pancreatitis.

The veterinarians observe something in the animal world that is called "Triadism" which is a problem that manifests when a problem develops with the gall bladder and then runs to the pancreas and then effects the liver. The three (hence "triad") adversely effect each other in sequence. I don't know which organ it usually first malfunctions.

Another form of cause for Pancreatitis is a viral or bacterial infection. For that if I had Pancreatitis I'd at least try Colloidal Silver which I've had great success with in quickly knocking out infections. I'd drink a lot for three days. Five tablespoons three times a day for three days and see if there was some relief. If so I'd continue for another week at lowered amounts.

Concerning "Triadism"...if that is the cause, then you'd have multiple organs involved, but even then I'm not so sure I wouldn't at least eliminate the issue of infection as a base line treatment. At least that's what I'd consider trying.

CS can be obtained at a health food store; and not all CS brands are the same. I'd consider buying two brands to make better my odds at getting one that had sufficient quality to kill the infection. I make my own so I know what works from years of experience.

Losing weight through plant based diet plus exercise plus stress-reduction plus less sitting down plus ACV (as part of diet) plus keep off wheat and sugar...that seems the way forward. But there's still old age.....
