Alfalfa cured my tendonitis: I took 24 tablets a day, 8 at each meal for 2 weeks then tapered off to about 10 or so a day. I took the heavy dose for 2 weeks to saturate my body then I took 10 a day for about a year. It's been 10 years and I usually have no pain or swelling. If I type alot or write alot I do have some discomfort but nothing like before!

As a side note I had some testing done and was told that I now have carpal tunnel in both arms but I had no idea because I have no pain!

Thanks for your post Kathy. I had been taking the minimum required Alfalfa tablets for about two weeks and didn't feel any improvement with my arthritis and tendonitis. After reading your post I took 18 tablets today and actually have felt a vast improvement with my pain already!

The alfalfa has worked for me too. I have tendonitis in my knee (goosehead) and read on here about the use of alfalfa to reduce inflamation. I'm taking 24 caps a day divided into four doses for the last three days and today the pain is reduced. I will continue with this dose for another week and then taper down. I am also taking apple cider vinegar and doing stretching exercises I learned at physical therapy.

This worked for me and a few of my buddies who kitesurf. I had a pretty severe case of tendonitis. I took the ten tablets a day and it worked in three days. I posted my results on a forum and it worked for a few other people as well.

To suffering Patti of Florida:....

USA's "Nature's Sunshine" Alfalfa-Medicago sativa, 340mg each capsule, is what I have been taking for thinning and making the mucous flow in the nostrils better (sorry about that) and it does work long-term for that complaint for me anyway. I take a maintenance dose of either one OR two capsules a day with meals as it has the added plus of all those extra minerals, of which more later on, BUT for Tendonitis one would surely need to take at least their recommended dosage of 2 caps three times per day, again with food. I recommend taking them no later than 30 minutes after meals otherwise wait till the next meal. Some folks on this Site have had to resort to mega doses of Alfalfa to shift Tendonitis but you should check with your favourite doctor or serious naturopath before doing that, especially if you have other medical conditions. The Arabs were so fond of Alfalfa and what it could do for them that they called it the "Father of all Herbs". Don't discount their years of experience as they have been traders for centuries (like Sinbad the Sailor). It is supposed to put down such deep roots that they are able to "mine" the good stuff such as minerals and trace elements in the deeper soil. Whatever, it is certainly a product that contains a lot of diverse nutrition for the human body so should be more popular than it currently seems to be. Certainly, if memory serves me correctly there have been questions asked in the past concerning contra-indications for certain people so best check that side out before over-consuming. Start out with smaller doses if you decide to take this and slowly build up. That gives the body time to adjust anyway.

Tendonitis sufferers seem to have a problem getting nutrients and/or blood flow to the Tendons.

Mama to Many on this Site can offer you more on this subject and under "Tendonitis". You and I both know how painful it can be!!

And one must always remember the old adage:-

Life could be sweet.......if we would only take care of our feet". (Anon).

Cheers and good luck with the foot.

Michael

I use Swansons, One thing I read was to make sure it is organic because the roots can go very deep and pick up lots of bad stuff.

I have been suffering with left hand thumb issue since Jan. 2017 and now it's working its way to my right hand. It's very painful and disturbing. I am 5'7 1/2,119 lbs and can not believe this is happening to me! I found this website and quickly bought the Alfalfa supplements today. I hope and pray the alfalfa supplements will treat this horrible condition. I will keep you all posted. Thanks so much for sharing your stories and solutions. It's a breath of fresh air!

I too have been having pain in my finger, the one between my pinky and middle finger. When I extend it, it pops straight out and when I draw my finger in halfway it pops to a closed position. I'm just wanting to know if the Alfafa will help. I do know that im not very disciplined on my water intake and work night shift at a Newspaper plant and much heavy lifting.

This sounds like trigger finger or Duyputrens contracture. I have it, I wrap my hand nightly in boron salve from Amazon and with a cotton ball saturated in DMSO. I also go to shock wave, not the one that bangs on you but an electric extracorporeal type. It's hard to find, but those two things are the only thing that I have found stop the pain and progression.

I find the statement of the amount of tablets somehow confusing. Each tablet of another manufacturer can have another dosage of Alfalfa, and other parts of the plant.
