An oatmeal bath will immediately relieve the itch in chicken pox, poison ivy, poison oak, hives, and bug bites! It also reduces inflammation and is a great conditioner for the skin. All you do is place 1 cup of uncooked oats into a clean white cotton sock, tying the open end in a knot. Place the sock in your warm bath water, sit and soak for 30 minutes. Use the oatmeal sock as your wash cloth before getting out. I don't rinse off the 'oat milk'. This will give hours of relief along with shrinking welts.

Thank you so much for posting this remedy. My niece caught the pox on Friday and I went to see her on Sunday morning after googling home remedies and found this. The bath worked immediately and now her spots have dried up in two days. Thank you.
