Hello all, it is good to see that there are others like myself looking for alternatives to meds. I am a 40 year old female and after a dnc surgery procedure my bp had escalated and now i am anemic. I have fought and warded off the advice of my docs to take the pills for a year but since have been suffering from bad headaches, and anemia. Therefore, i had to give in and started taking my meds as of jan 1,09. My bp has since increased rather than decrease. Recently on a dr's visit my pressure went up to 180/110. My doc then recommended that i double up on my dose from 5mg to 10mg. I am so happy i stumbled onto the suggestions on this site and tonight i started my first dose of 3tblspoon acv and 2tblsp of molasses. Will keep you posted on my progress. If this works, why haven't the doctors made reference to it? I have lost all beliefs in doctors. Thanks for allowing me to share, will check in next week Tuesday with updates.btw, my bp pressure tonight was 147/98

Alena, a simple D&C should not have caused bleeding to the point of anemia, and if you were anemic before surgery, it should have been corrected before doing it. Did the doctor mention any complications during the D&C? You might want to ask for a copy of the surgical report, to see if you can learn why you are anemic.

I'm gonna TRY the ACV and molasses brew hoping that somehow the molasses was the missing link for me.

NOW I have absolutely nothing against the ACV w/mother of course, nothing against garlic and cayenne, the red hibiscus, BUT in my case-no effect and I remain disappointed-- donating unit of blood every 2 months still HAS NOT brought it down.

The concoctions of garlic cayenne etc work wonders for bronchitis, psoraisis, aching and paining--like a cure all.

4 years ago at aged 60 I went off the charts hypertensive with readings commonly upwards from 190/140 on and on--years ago I would have been hospitalized-today, they simply try this and try that-and it still runs high.

I am not overweight BUT DO have a thyroid problem for more than 20 years hypO, and am still trying to work that one out and not be pharma dependent--lugols etc have not corrected this and I do blame the hypothyroid for the present mess.
Alena? I do hope you're doing better and get back.

I will in 6 weeks.
