I occasionally see people state here that a remedy isn't 'real' or 'true' when it's obviously worked for others. When you say "There is certainly not any truth to this", you're basically calling those others liars; at the least it's a presumptuous statement. I haven't had a need to use this particular remedy myself but I would ask if you have actually ever taken it AS RECOMMENDED, i.e. taken together and not simply ingesting the olive oil part by way of cooking with it. And what is the rest of your diet like and your overall health? These too are contributing factors.Different things will work (or not) for different people, for many reasons. If you're going to try a remedy, at least give it a fair shake by trying it in the manner recommended by those who have had success with it before dismissing it as not right for you. It's great to get feedback where something DIDN'T work for someone as well as when it did; this gives us all a better idea of what we may want to try ourselves. But remember that just because something didn't work for YOU does not mean it isn't 'real' or 'true' for others.

Hello Eva, You say you are drinking fresh squeezed lemon juice and cooking with massive doses of olive oil, but have you tried taking the olive oil with the lemon juice as the people said got rid of their stones? Don't knock it until you have, because cooking anything sort of changes the chemical composition of whatever is cooked. Why don't you try it the way they said it worked, before you say it can't be true? We will await your report on the results of your honest test of the remedy.

Or, it may be that your stones are not made of Calcium Oxalate?!Replied By Elaine (Edmond, Oklahoma) on 12/10/2009
This is to Eva in Chatanooga - There are three kinds of kidney stones. I have the second most common kind of stones. The lemon and olive oil didn't work for me. Perhaps the olive oil and lemon juice only work on the most common kind. If anyone out there knows of a treatment for other kinds of stones, please let me know.
