I was wondering how people feel about getting the flu shot. I am 58 and have never had one. I know of 2 people that contracted Guillain Barre Syndrome after receiving a flu shot. Coincidence?

Hi Patty B, I do not get a flu shot, but the only time I did (because my employer required it) I got sick and was literally on my back for 2 weeks. I have learned the hard way to not put anything in or on my body unless I am certain what it is and where it came from. If I do not want to eat it, I do not put it into my body because, eventually, it will end up in your bloodstream and your body will have to deal with it. That being said, I prefer to keep my immune system strong, using clean eating and pure supplements when necessary, and treating myself naturally when I get under the weather. And Earth Clinic, thank the benevolent Creator and all the wonderful people who are a part of this site, is my number one resource. I hope that is helpful, and wish you the best of health.

I only got the flu shot 2 times in my life and both times I got sick with the worst flu ever! Never took it again and have only had the flu a few times and were very mild. Don't do it!

Back in the 80's my aunt's friend who was a nurse got the swine flu shot because of the "swine flu scare" and developed Guillian-Barre Syndrome and has been confined to a wheelchair ever since.... for the rest of her life. None of our family take the flu shot or any shots ever since. Play a stupid game, win a stupid prize.
