I went home to check on her at lunch time and was thrilled to see her relaxing outside the front door! I mixed up another dose of the turmeric, OCO, honey, pepper and colloidal silver in the ground turkey and gave it to her again. As I did not have time to sit with her to do the castor oil pack, I just put a couple drops on the puncture wounds and went back to work. When I arrived home in the evening she was again outside and got up to greet me when I drove in. The swelling in her leg had gone down some more and it now looked about 2 times its normal size and she did not appear to be in as much pain. She still could not walk so I helped her inside and again mixed up another dose of the same ingredients in the raw turkey and again applied a castor oil pack to the site. She rested comfortably throughout the evening and slept good all night. This morning the swelling in her leg has gone down so that the leg looks almost normal and she can bend it, but the foot is still pretty swollen. It looks like a ball at the end of a stick, but she is starting to put a little weight on it. I will continue to give her the same mix morning and evening until all the symptoms have subsided. I did not expect her recovery to be so rapid, so I am thrilled to share my experience. Thank you again, Earth Clinic, and all those involved in maintaining this wonderful resource! It has been lifesaving for me and my family!

I pray that none of you ever have to deal with this, but if you do, Golden Paste works wonders! God bless!

Does this work for humans or only pets?

Two nights ago, two of my dogs got bit by a copperhead -- my approximately four year old husky mix and seven month old shepherd mix.
The husky mix received what appeared to be two dry bites. One below her eye and one on her lip. The eye swelled slightly, but not the lip. She was pawing at her eye but acted normal.
The shepherd mix got the full extent of envenomation in his paw. He was howling in pain, immediate swelling of the paw and entire leg, lethargy, etc.
I knew I couldn't afford an emergency vet visit and started to panic. I rushed to find information in my library when I stopped to calm down and actually think. I know the herb plantain is reported to help for snake bites so I ran into my flower bed and ripped out a handful. I crushed it up into a pulp with the pestle and mortar and gave it to my husband to hold on the shepherd's paw. Several minutes later I returned with some 50% DMSO. We removed the plantain and squeezed out a few droppers full of the DMSO onto the site of the bite.
He calmed down a bit, and after checking his breathing and heart rate I felt relieved enough to come onto earth clinic. I found this post and immediately whipped up two helpings (NOT including any meat/food to chase it down) for the dogs. The shepherd meekly ate his and I applied a few drops of castor oil onto the bites since he refused the CO pack.
Two hours later I awoke to the shepherd crying again. I mixed up another helping and gave it to him. This was repeated two more times, every two hours, throughout the night as he woke up crying. I offered him water each time though he only drank the water once. The husky mix received only one precautionary dose of the mixture in this time frame since she was seemingly symptom free.
By a little after 5am (seven hours later) the shepherd was up and ready to head outside to relieve himself. He hobbled out a good distance with his leg still very swollen, but he was in good spirits. He started towards the house but I had to carry him back in because he was plumb tired!
The bites occurred Saturday night and the heavy treatment was carried out. Sunday morning, noon and night, both dogs received the turmeric mixture along with wiping down the bite sites with 90% DMSO (once in the morning and once in the evening) to prevent necrosis. By early Monday evening, less than 48 hours later, the shepherd had absolutely no swelling in the leg or paw and had full use of it.
Today is Tuesday, and the husky mix has a small sore by her eye that I am monitoring/treating with the 90% DMSO. Today will be one more day of the turmeric mixture for them both for good measure.
Out of the many, many times I have come to E.C. for information (much of it was a success, btw) my husband suggested that I leave a comment on here for this in particular. All my thanks to JehovaJireh for your post! I am grateful you shared this wonderful information, and I hope that one day you see this comment to share in this joy!! Thank you, thank you!!
Love and gratitude,
