I have two sensitive jewelers' scales. 500mg is 10 times more (!) than 1/8 teaspoon. I prove it in the photos (0.5g=500mg). In reality, 1/8 teaspoon is 50mg, not 500mg!
To summarize:
the dose of 1/8 teaspoon is 50mg, which is 10 times less (!!!) than the information given on earthclinic.
Please clarify this situation. It is very urgent for everyone who uses this therapy! This should be clarified as soon as possible.
It is very irresponsible to give such false information.
There is no option to upload photos, so I am sending links.

Not sure where you are getting your information. Per our article on borax: https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/borax.html#intro
"Borax powder is about 11.3% boron, meaning a ¼ teaspoon contains approximately 113 mg of boron. Ted from Earth Clinic recommends a daily dose of ¼ teaspoon of borax in 1 liter of water for men and 1/8 teaspoon of borax in 1 liter for women. This equates to men consuming about 113 mg of boron daily while women consume around 56 mg daily."

When I checked your images below:
. .. I'm afraid I must disagree with you on the weight that is displayed on your digital weighing device. You said that it was 50 mgs and I'm afraid that is wrong. The result of you weighing 1/8 tspn Borax is shown as 0.50 grams in your weighing device display, which is equivalent to 500 mgs.
Also, if you look-up the conversion of one rounded teaspoon of powder to grams on the internet it will be 5 grams. And if it is a level teaspoon of powder then it will be 4 grams. So, therefore, it must also follow that a 1/4 level tspn of powder will be 1000 mgs and an 1/8 level tspn must be 500 mgs.
Here's some more facts concerning Borax safety that should allay all your fears. According to it's Material Safety Data Sheet(MSDS) -- which is the bible for ALL chemical toxicity levels -- Borax has the same toxicity profile as common table salt. And according to the MSDS it would take approximately 25 teaspoons of salt to kill a human being. Same for Borax.
So we can now conclude that supplementing borax either at 1/8 tspn/day(for a woman) or at 1/4 tspn per day(for a man) in the right way -- at 3 days on and 4 days off -- is completely safe.
And as a man, I've been taking 1/4 tspn or 1000 mgs Borax regularly for about the last 16 years. I'm 73 y.o. with no arthritis, no rheumatism, no heart disease etc and there's nothing wrong with me. Just some reasons why I love supplementing Borax.
