For acne, coconut oil is not recommended, it will actually plug your pores and cause more breakouts. Jojoba oil is a long known remedy for acne. It is almost exactly the same composition as our skin's natural oil, so when you apply it, it will actually slow the production of sebum, which causes acne. I didn't believe any oil could help acne..but jojoba does..and removes wrinkles too..try it on the frown marks!

I have a good success with virgin Coconut oil, it's a great sunscreen, prevents burning and helps to remove bumbs I have had since I was a kid on the back of my arms. So I don't agree with your take on coconut oil.

I guess it depends on the skin type. I've tried coconut oil and somehow, it didn't work for me. I am prone to acne in general. I will try Jojoba. Thanks for the tip.

Mark, I have to admit I hadn't tried coconut oil for acne, I only took the advice of my daughter who works as a cosmetician. I have since used coconut oil on blemishes and found it works very well! It also is the best thing I have ever used for acne scarring, the scars peel off. Thanks so much for your comment. I'm a new fan of coconut oil.
