I got genital warts when I was bout 17. Went to the free clinic and the lady put the brown stuff on some of them and after a while.. most of them fell off. A couple stayed. After a year or two, I had to go to the doctor for the flu or something and at the time, I asked him to do something about the rest. He froze them and all but one went away. I've had that one since then (I'm 28 now) and its been annoying and embarrassing ever since.

I dont have insurance so I was looking around online for a do it yourself remedy and found something on eBay where if you payed the guy like $10, he would send you the instructions on how to fix them yourself for "really cheap ingredients you can buy at your local grocery store" I never did that but I did find this site and its probably the same solution noted here.

Anyway, I just got some Apple Cider Vinegar.. put a bit on a small folded paper towel, applied to the wart on the shaft and wrapped with a couple bandaids so they would stay in place. I'll let you all know how it works out!

VERY HOPEFUL!

So, it's been a few days of me applying ACV to cotton balls and letting sit on the wart. It turned white and then I took off the dressing in the morning to let the wart dry out thinking that was part of the process. It eventually went back to it's normal color so I put some more ACV on a cotton swab and wrapped up. Left it there without changing it for about a day and a half. Went to change it the other morning before I took a shower and the cotton was kind of stuck to the wart...

As I pulled the cotton away, part of the wart.. like the top part came with it. Kinda gross.. but still.. that seemed promising. It didnt hurt.. but then, I wasnt exactly ripping at it.. it just came away when I took the cotton away. Part of the wart was black as well.

I took a shower and did not re-wrap. I wrapped it last night and this morning it was stinging pretty bad.. not sure if that was the wart itself or my morning wood pulling at the bandaids but that kind of sucked. Still not nearly enough to make me regret anything so far.

Most of the wart is black now... I didnt wrap it today.. I'm just letting it chill and dry out. Might put a wrap on it tonight.

Note that this is a single fairly large wart.. probably about an 1"8th of an inch across. There is one more small one on the other side of the shaft that I will take care of after this one and I expect the small one to take less time than this one.. but I think it's working! WOO!
