5 out of 5 stars

Four people (diabetic - 2) in my town took one cup of kefir on empty stomach in the morning for 8 weeks. They are now free of this problem. Has any one tried this?

To: P. Raghaven (Viruchunagar, Tn, India) -

What led the four people to take the the kefir for 8 weeks? Did they think it could cure them of diabetes 2 or were they taking the kefir for another reason and by chance came across this diabetes 2 curative result? Thanks. Larry/Fairfax, VA, USA.

The bad bacteria responsible for diabetes is STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS.

There is a research paper of microbiological research by Barbara Karska-Wysock stating that l. casei and l. acidophilus can kill 99% of this bad bacteria after 24 hours at 37 C in test tube.

The milk kefir used mr and mrs kefir starter contains l. casei and l. acidophilus.

This is to be taken on empty stomach because l. casie may not survive in stomach acid. you may try any probiotic capsules containing l. casei and l. achidophilus in sufficient numbers.

Best wishes,
P. Raghavan.

I read many research papers on Diabetes Type II and come up with this report on possible causes and cures for Diabetes II.

The bad bacteria responsible for Diabetes II is : Staphylococcus Aureus (SA). This bad bacteria SA is found in the nose and on the skin. Everybody is exposed this bad bacteria. There is a microbiological research paper titled " Antibacterial activity of L. achidophilus and L. casei against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus" by Barbara Karska-Wysocki. This states that L. casei and L. Achidophilus can eliminate 99% of this bad bacteria SA after 24 hours of their incubation at 37 C in a test tube. Some reports say that L.casei play a major role in this action.

The bad bacteria SA can enter our digestive system through our mouth. But if we have enough L. casei and L. achidophilus in our digestive system, the bad bacteria SA will be eliminated. But if we have very low level of L.casei and L. achidophilus in our digestive syastem, the bad bacteria SA will not be eliminated and we will soon become diabetes II. The bad bacteria SA will establish colonies in the digestive system and screw up the digestion.

Some possible reasons for very low level of L. casei and L. achidophilus in the digestive system are as follows: 1) Antibiotic treatment - Antibiotics will kill both bad and good bacterias.

2) Stressful conditions - This condition will generate large quantity of stomach acids that will kill good bacterias also.

3) Prolonged period of idle times - good bacterias will not multiply if one is idle.

4) Smoking

5) Strong medicines or herbal treatment.

Some possible cures are as follows: Take L. casei and L. achidophilus in sufficient quantities. They will first eliminate the bad bacteria SA and then increase their counts in the digestive system so that future invasion of the bad bacteria SA will be countered. It can be implemented as one of the following ways:

1) Take one cup of homemade milk Kefir in the morning on empty stomach for 8 weeks. Kefir contains L. casei and L. achidiphilus.

2) or Take probiotic capsules containing L. casei and L. achidophilus in sufficient quantities in the morning half an hour before breakfast for 8 weeks.

I will appreciate any corrections or additions to my report.

Best wishes. P. Raghavan.

I concur with the recommendation to first use natural antibiotics like Neem, Garlic, Oregano, Oregon Grape, Olive Leaf, Grapefruitseed, etc. as these directly kill pathogens giving the healthy or probiotics a much cleaner terrain or environment to populate and remain.

Another six people who were Diabetes Type II took one cup of home made kefir in the morning on empty stomach for 8 weeks. They are cured and they are not diabetes anymore.

It appears that Milk Kefir Routine is a simple and effective cure for Diabetes Type II. If anyone tries this routine, kindly report the result.

Note: Milk kefir should not be stored in the freezer section of the refrigerator since some probiotics in kefir may not survive in very low temperature.

Dear Marvi,

During the first 3 to 4 weeks of Kefir treatment, the sugar level will come down from high level to about 140 and will stay there. This indicates that the bad bacteria S. Aureus is completely eliminated from your digesting system. My friend who was Diabetes 2 consulted his doctor at the end of 4 th week. His doctor advised him to discontinue all diabetic medications. You can also consult your doctor at the end of 4 th week and act accordingly. If you take both kefir and diabetic medications after 4 th week, your sugar level may go to very low level and you may get giddiness. You have to take care of this situation by keeping small amount glucose powder in your pocket for giddiness treatment. After 8 th week, you will be cured and report the good news here.

Best wishes P. Raghavan.

P.Raghavan,

Thank you for posting this great and very useful information! I'm sure this will help many people as diabetes is such a common disease these days.

I also want to thank you for following up on the people that are trying the kefir. So many people say they will follow up and never do.

I can only imagine how great it would feel for people who have to inject insulin every day of their life and now have hope for the possiblity of being able to never have to do that again and the treatment is so relatively fast and non-invasive!

I don't see that your thread got one of the, "editor's choice awards", but it certainly deserves that and more!

Thank You!

P. Raghavan,

I was reading an abstract which was looking at the rate of staphylococus aureus in diabetic patients and it showed a rate of approximately 40% of patients. Based on that, it would appear that kefir is doing more than just killing staph in order to improve the status of diabetic patients. If it was just the kefir killing staph then only an improvement in about 40% of patients would be expected or an amount similar to the percentage of patients with staph overgrowth.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26243688

In another study that used a protocol that was somewhat similar to what you described in the diabetic people that were taking kefir in your town positive results were obtained. Although the results were definitely positive, they were not as good as what you reported, but good enough to suggest that kefir or fermented probiotic milk is worth trying as a safe non-invasive method of trying to improve diabetic status.

In the study, the fermented probiotic milk used was taken at a rate of 600ml per day or more than double the amount you mentioned of one cup and it was taken over an 8 week period, similar to what you described.

The fermented probiotic milk used in the study contained L. casei, L. acidophilus and bifidobacteria. You stated that the kefir used in your town contained L. casei and L. acidophilus.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4401881/

Your post prompted me to research and look for studies that could either add credence to your post or not. Based on what I was able to find, it does add credence to the idea that kefir is likely to be beneficial, safe an noninvasive for people with diabetes type 2. On the other hand, it suggested that either staph reduction is not the mode of improvement or it is not the only mode of action so I looked further and found another interesting study pertaining to this subject.

In this next study it was shown that the use of an "engineered probiotic" from lactobacillus was able to lower blood glucose levels up to 30% in diabetic rats. Here is a quote from the study:

The researchers found that upper intestinal epithelial cells in diabetic rats were converted into cells that acted very much like pancreatic beta cells, which monitor blood glucose levels and secrete insulin as needed to balance glucose levels in healthy individuals.

http://mediarelations.cornell.edu/2015/01/27/probiotic-helps-treat-diabetes-in-rats-could-lead-to-human-remedy/

It appears that this may shed further light on the mode of action of kefir and probiotics on diabetes. In any case, testing kefir and probiotics seem like worthwhile efforts for people with diabetes with the approval and supervision of their doctors.

On the chance that the kefir that was used in your town, MR. & Mrs. Kefir, is possibly different and or more effective than what was used in that study that I linked to, I looked for the brand that you used and found the starter grains on Amazon. To view it, just click on the small Amazon research link at the bottom of each post and enter the search term, "Mr. & Mrs. Kefir". It can be ordered from that page and you can read the 96 reviews which were quite high. People seem to take their kefir very seriously judging by some of the reviews!

Art,

According to Diabetes Research Center in Denmark, they found S. Aureus in the stools of all Diabetes II but no S. Aureus in the stools of non-Diabetes. The article you refer to says that only about 40 % of Diabetes has S. Aureus in their blood. I think that it takes time S. Aureus infection to spread from the digestive system into blood stream and hence the difference.

Regarding your second point of adding Bifidobacteria, the kefir we used in my town also contains Bifidobacteria. But from the research papers I read from the internet, my thinking is that the probiotics needed for Diabetes can be classified as follows:

Tier I (Critical) = L. Casei.

Tier II (Useful) = L. Acidophilus.

The best way to find whether there is a need for additional probiotic type and / or enzymes is as follows:

A Stool Analyzer analyzes the stools of Diabetes II for most pathogenic bacteria levels, probiotic bacteria levels and enzymes levels. These levels should be compared with those of non-diabetes. This may resolve this problem.

Regarding " Engineered Probiotics ", I have no idea since they have not mentioned the type of probiotics used to make this "Engineered Probiotics".

I agree with your suggestion that Diabetes II should take kefir under supervision of their doctors.

Saliba,

Probiotic bacterias need food (e.g. Lactose) to survive. Also, they can not survive in very low temperature as well as in warm temperature. If one uses Kefir routine, there should be atleast 10 % reduction of fasting blood sugar for diabetes over a period of 10 days. Otherwise something is wrong. In your case, Kefir is not in working condition. You can buy a fresh milk kefir starter online.

1) Antibiotic Treatment

2) Stress

3) sedentary Lifestyle

4) Smoking

5) Alcohol

6) Unknown Reasons

People can suggest additional choices. I believe this will provide useful information.

Some people think that "agent orange" may be a contributing factor to diabetes type 2 for people who were exposed to that pesticide while serving in Vietnam. Likely there are multiple causes though. Cetainly anything that upsets the microbial balance of the human gut may also be a contributing factor and that could be a lengthy list from bad eating habits to courses of antibiotics.

Many people spontaneously loose their type 2 diabetes after having a gastric by-pass without any other intervention. The human body is an extremely complicated life form which nobody on earth completely understands so there are many questions about the best way to maintain good health.

Some people who eat very healthy, maintain a good healthy weight, exercise, avoid all junk foods, sugars and alcohol, still get diabetes.

I think I remember Ted saying that he suspected bad oils and fats in the diet may be a cause once they oxidize in the body.

Blood Sugar Spikes After Cure

Some people who were Diabetes 2 for very long time are experiencing blood sugar spikes after cure. High blood sugar for a long time damaged considerable number of cells in their body. These damaged cells can not use insulin efficiently. Because of this, they are experiencing blood sugar spikes. If the damaged cells become normal cells, this problem will not occur.

The suggested techniques in the net for conversion of damaged cells into normal cells are :

1) Keep the body alkaline.

2) Take Vitamin C.

3) Take Chlorophyll.

These can be implemented by many different methods. One method is : Add lemon juice from one lemon, two teaspoon of Apple cider vinegar and a pinch of sea salt in a glass of water. Drink it before dinner. Both lemon juice and apple cider vinegar will keep the body alkaline and lemon juice will provide Vitamin C. For chlorophyll, one can take steam-cooked spinach, wheatgrass juice / powder, etc. This diet has to be followed for about 16 weeks.

Best wishes. P. Raghavan.

I want to mention three people who were Diabetes II, followed Kefir Routine. They are now cured. I have personal knowledge of these three people:

1) Daughter of my own sister who is about 53 years old, feels that she became Diabetes II with high blood pressure problem after an antibiotic treatment one year ago. She took Kefir Routine about 12 weeks back. She took blood tests recently. The test indicates her A1c level 5.5 and her blood pressure is normal. She is very happy now since there is no need for her to take any diabetic or blood pressure medications.

2) A business associate of mine who is about 55 years old, believes that he became Diabetes II because of stress. He took Kefir Routine about 4 months back. After Kefir Routine, he went to his doctor for a check up. The doctor tested his fasting blood sugar level and blood sugar level 2 hours after eating. The doctor asked him what he took to reduce his blood sugar levels. He told the doctor that he took a probiotic food called 'Kefir' for about 8 weeks in the morning on empty stomach. The doctor was surprised to hear that a probiotic food can cure Diabetes II. The doctor told him that Diabetes II is supposed to be a life-long disease. His fasting blood sugar level used to be about 235 level. His doctor told him that maintaining that 235 level for him is very difficult using current allopathic medications. Doctor told him that he is cured. Then the doctor told him jokingly " This kind of probiotic treatment will affect the revenues of doctors who are specialists in diabetic care and also pharma companies which are manufacturing large quantities of diabetic medications. He is now trying to lead a stress free life.

3) A factory worker who is about 30 years old feels that she became Diabetes II due to stress caused by her alcoholic husband. She took Kefir Routine about 4 months back. Then she went to a government hospital for a check up. Her fasting blood sugar level was usually around 300. During check up, her blood sugar levels were near normal. The doctor asked her whether she took anything to reduce her blood sugar levels. She said she took nothing since she could not explain Kefir to his doctor. The doctor asked her to come back after one week. The next time also her blood sugar levels were near normal. The doctor told her " you are lucky and you are not diabetes anymore. But I can not give any reasons for that. ".

I hope the above information will be helpful. Kefir will cure not only Diabetes II but also high blood pressure problem since Kefir contains nitric oxide generating probiotic bacteria, L. Plantarum, L. rhamnosus and L. Fermentum.

Best Wishes P. Raghavan.

The bad bacteria associated with Diabetes Type II is Staphylococcus Aureus (S. Aureus). There is another microbiological research paper available in the net titled " Antibacterial activity of isolated human intestinal microbiota Lactobacillus strains against methicillin resistant and susceptible Staphylococcus Aureus " by Maxton et al. This paper analyses the antibacterial activity of probiotic bacteria strains l. Casei, l. Achidophilus and l. Plantarum against five strains of Staphylococcus Aureus including three Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) strains. According to this paper, maximum inhibitory potential against S. Aureus was seen in L. Casei.

These probiotic strains provide natural protection against S. Aurues as long as these probiotics are in sufficient numbers in the digestive system. I believe that any substance that cures Diabetes II has to satisfy the following two conditions :

1) It should eliminate the bad bacteria, S. Aureus, from the digestive system as well as from the blood stream without any collateral damages to different probiotic strains in the digestive system. If probiotic strains are damaged, it may create many medical problems like high blood pressure, severe constipation, heart disease, Vitamin B12 and D3 deficiencies, etc.

2) It should increase the counts of probiotic strains that provide natural protection against any future invasion of S. Aureus in the digestive system. This will provide long lasting cure.

Milk kefir, a probiotic food, satisfies the above two conditions since it contains the above 3 probiotic strains. According to Russian microbiologist who won Noble Prize in the field of medicine (year 1908) "Ilya Mechnikov" believed that Kefir consumption would increase life expectancy.

I believe that it will take another 5 to 10 years to introduce probiotic treatments for Diabetes II in allopathy.

Best Wishes P. Raghavan.

Kefir for Diabetes Type II - Additional Protocol

Some people who are Diabetes Type II for a long time, have two problems: S. Aureus infection and a considerable number of damaged cells in their body. Kefir clears S. Aureus infection but does not cure damaged cell problem. A cell in our body can be damaged by the following:

1) Free radicals

2) High glucose level

3) Radiation

4) Ultraviolet light, etc.

The first two are important for this case. Antioxidants (e.g., Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Beta Carotene (Vitamin A) ) can neutralize free radicals. During digestion, the body produces insulin ( A hormone ) and it is released for the digestion of carbohydrates in the diet. Insulin will make the normal cells in the body to store glucose to be used for energy later. But damaged cells in the body are resistant to insulin and are unable to use insulin effectively leading to high blood glucose level. High blood glucose level will damage some additional normal cells. But if damaged cells are replaced by normal cells in the body, this problem of insulin resistance will not occur.

Some people who took one cup of kefir in the morning on empty stomach for 8 weeks, find there fasting blood sugar levels are normal but the blood sugar levels two hours after eating are above normal level of 140. This is a possible indication of a considerable number of damaged cells in their body. To solve this problem also, one may follow the following procedures:

1) Take on cup of Kefir in the morning on empty stomach for 8 weeks. This will eliminate S. Aureus infection.

2) Prepare a cup of green drink using chlorophyll-rich foods like spinach, parsley, cilantro, kale, etc. Then add two teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, lemon juice from one lemon, a pinch of turmeric and sea salt. Drink this liquid before dinner. This works as follows: Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice will keep the body alkaline. Once the body becomes alkaline, damaged cell multiplication will come to complete stop. Lemon juice contains vitamin C (Antioxidant) and free radicals will be neutralized by vitamin C. The drink contains a considerable amount of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll boosts synthesis and repair of damaged cells in the body. It plays an important role in the replacement of damaged cells by normal cells.

The above protocol comes from many articles in the net and also from my understanding of these articles. If there is any corrections or additions, please let me know.

Best Wishes P. Raghavan.

Probiotic Capsules For Diabetes Type II

There is a simple treatment available to cure Diabetes Type II using multi strain probiotic capsules. The multi strain probiotic capsules are available for about US dollar 28 (60 capsules) in Amazon.com. Its name is : ULTRA-30 probiotics - 18 strains - 60 capsules. Eighteen probiotic strains in the capsule are : 1) L. Casei 2) L. Achidophilus 3) L. Plantarum 4) L. Fermentum 5) L. Rhamnous 6) L. Paracasei 7) L. Gasseri 8) L. Bulgaricus 9) L. Salivarius 10) L. Helveticus 11) S. Thermophilus 12) L. Reuteri 13) B. Longum 14) B. Infantis 15) B. Breve 16) B. Lactis 17) B. Bifidum 18) B. Coagulans.

The first 11 strains are in Kefir. But last 7 strains are not in Kefir. The following procedure is to be followed for 60 days:

1) Take 1 probiotic capsules in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast. This will eliminate S. Aureus infection in the body by L. Casei and L. Achidophilus.

2) Make one cup of green drink using one or more of the following Chlorophyll - rich foods like: spinach, cilantro, parsley, wheat grass, etc. Then add 2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, lemon juice from 1 lemon and a pinch of sea salt. This has to be taken 30 minutes before dinner or 2 hours after dinner. This green drink will try to convert damaged cells caused by high blood sugar into normal cells. Damaged cells will not use Insulin efficiently.

One should not take any probiotics if the person is taking immunosuppressive drugs or has a weakened immune system. It is advisable to take this treatment under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

This treatment has the following additional benefits:

1) It will cure high blood pressure problem if it is due to probiotic imbalance.

2) It will correct any Vitamin D and B12 deficiencies since it contains L. Reuteri. Many diseases are associated with Vitamin D and B12 deficiencies.

3) The probiotics in this capsule will try to correct heart disease problem by controlling bad cholesterol (LDL) and Triglycerides in the digestive system itself.

Best Wishes

Amy,

Follow the probiotic capsule and alkalizing green drink protocol for 60 days and do the following steps:

1) Check the blood sugar levels. If the fasting blood sugar level is normal ( less than 100 ) and also the blood sugar level two hours after eating is also normal ( less than 140 ), you are cured.

2) If the fasting blood sugar is not normal ( more than 100 ), it indicates that S. Aureus infection is not cleared. Then you have to take both probiotic capsule and alkalizing green drink for another 30 days and go to step 1.

3) If the fasting blood sugar is normal and the blood sugar level two hours after eating is not normal, it indicates that S. Aureus infection is cleared but there may be a considerable number of damaged cells in the body. In this case, there is no need to take probiotic capsules but continue to take alkalizing green drink for another 30 days. Then go to Step 1.

Regarding preparation of alkalizing green drink, take one cup of chlorophyll-rich food and add one half cup of water. Then put them in a blender and extract the green juice. Add 2 teaspoon of ACV, lemon juice from one lemon and a pinch of sea salt. Drink this thirty minutes before dinner.

Best wishes,

1. Do we have to wait for the kefir to separate completely? Is it sufficient to see small whey bubbles/ pockets?

2. Once we remove the grains, can we mix some fruits and leave in the fridge overnight? Is this second ferment with fruits as effective for diabetes cure as the natural plain ones?

A. Kumar,

Regarding your questions on kefir, 12-hour fermented kefir will act like a mild laxative whereas more than 24-hour fermented kefir may cause constipation. My kefir has yogurt consistency. You may try different brands of milk which should not contain any preservatives. Adding some fruits will not alter its qualities.

Since both of you are having insulin resistance, it may indicate a considerable number of damaged cells in the body due to high blood sugar.

Kefir will solve S. Aureus infection problem ; but it will not solve damaged cell problem. It is advisable to follow the following protocol for about 8 weeks:

1) Take one cup of kefir in the morning on empty stomach.

2) Prepare alkalizing green drink as follows:

Take one cup any chlorophyl-rich food like spinach, kale, cilantro, parsley, etc. Add one cup of water. Extract green juice using a blender. Then add lemon juice from one lemon and a pinch of sea salt. Drink it in the evening. This green drink will try to convert damaged cells into normal cells.

Best wishes.

Can this kefir be cultured without dairy? Will these grains work in almond milk or water? Thanks

Re: Kefir for Diabetes Type II

Yes. You can make your own kefir using almond milk or water. Make sure kefir starter contains L. Casei and L. Achidophilus. But most kefir starters contain these two probiotic strains.

Thank you Raghaven. I was wondering if all the people cured took the Mr/Mrs kefir or another brand?

Which brand did you purchase that also contains bifidus cultures? (how did you find out what cultures are in particular kefir?

I understand water kefir contains less probiotic strains..would this work as well?

Did any one experience skin improvements? thank you so much for your help and information!

Hello P. Raghavan,

I wanted to ask you about the green drink for repairing damaged cells. Would it be OK to just take a chlorophyll supplement to do so? I have found after a month of drinking the green drink, the lemon juice may be irritating my bladder? Not sure if this would be associated with it or not, however, I just wanted to ask. Is it just the chlorophyll that mainly repairs the cells or do you need the lemon, salt and apple cider vinegar?

Thank you for your help and advice!

Amy,

You may take the following instead of green drink:

1) Chlorophyll supplements.

2) A 500 mg vitamin C tablets twice a day.

3) 1/4th teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water or juice. It has to be taken twice a day.

If you have neuropathic pain, you can mix 1 teaspoon of castor oil and 1/4th teaspoon of baking soda. Apply this over the painful are during night. You may also take Alpha Lipoic Acid daily.

Best wishes

Gauri,

Your husband may take simultaneously Kefir or probiotic capsule containing L. Casei and L. Achidophilus in the morning and green drink in the evening. Also, he should take 500 mg Vitamin C tablet thrice a day. He will be cured in about 8 weeks.

Best wishes.

Anon,

According to an article in World Journal of Gastroenterology tittled " Diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus in chronic pancreatitis " pancreatogenic diabetes is called " Type 3c diabetes mellitus ". Therefore, I believe it is Diabetes Type 3 C not Diabetes Type II.

I am consuming water kefir for the past 6 months and don't see a great improvement in the BG level. After reading your post I feel this may happen because I am taking the water kefir in the middle of the day and not in empty stomach.

1. Can I take "Water Kefir" instead of Milk Kefir?

2. How long should I not take any other food or medicine after taking water kefir?

Thanks in advance and appreciate your great work!

Hi,

Is it possible to check/test if the kefir contains the two strains - L. Casei and L. Acidophillus?

Naz,

You may send a sample of your kefir to a nearby biotechnology lab for testing. They will give you answer.

Dear Mr. Raghavan, I have had diabetes over 25 years. I could not get Mr&Mrs Kefir in Canada.

So I bought bottles of Kefir with L.Caei and L.acidophyllus. It didnt work.

So I started Multi strain Probiotic 1 capsule daily. Also started Chlorophyll etc.

My Question is since my diabetes is long standing should I take 2 caps of Probiotics.I also started on Inulin.

I hope you see this message to reply

Thank you Rathna

Hi Rathna,

I don't think taking two multi strain probiotic capsules daily will help you. Probiotics will try to clear any infection in the body. Once the infection is cleared, your fasting blood sugar will be near normal. Since you are diabetes over 25 years, you may have a large number of damaged cells in the body due to high blood sugar. These damaged cells need to be converted into normal cells as follows:

1) Keep the body alkaline by consuming lemon juice, lemon juice and baking soda, spinach juice etc.

2) Take antioxidants like Alpha Lipoic Acid, carrot juice, vitamin C, berries, etc.

3) Take chlorophyll.

Best Wishes.

P. Raghavan.

There are about 39 trillion bacteria in the human body. An average healthy adult has about:

1) 90 % of them are good (probiotic) bacteria,

2) 10 % of them are bad bacteria.

There is a video available in the net from Diabetes Research Center at the university of copenhagen titled " Type 2 Diabetes may be caused by gut bacteria ". According to this, the researchers found probiotic imbalance in the digestive system of Type 2 Diabetes. Probiotics supports our body's ability to absorb nutrients and fight infection. One can correct this probiotic imbalance by consuming probiotic foods (e.g. Kefir, Mung bean soaked fermented water, etc.) or multi-strain probiotic capsules/tablets.

Best wishes.

Dear Mr. Raghavan

I am writing to let you know my progress. After taking probiotic capsules and green juice for one month there was no change in my diabetes. but after another 2 weeks I started to notice slight changes in my BG readings. The morning fasting level was down below 7.0(126 I think) Another week later it was below 6.0. Couple of days BG was below 4.0 and I had to drink some orange juice very early in the morning. I waited for my A1C test before writing here. It has come down only one point yet. After discussing with my diabetic nurse I have reduced my Medicines.

But I am not giving up. Started another round of Probiotics and green juices, Chlorophyll etc. Previously I had forgotten to take Vit.C or ALA but this time I am not going to forget.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. If I can bring down my diabetes with minimum medicine I will be very happy.

Dear Ratna,

Since your fasting blood sugar is improving, it indicates that the probiotics you consume are trying to clear any infection in your body. Fasting blood sugar is mostly due to toxins released by the bad bacteria in the body. Since you are Diabetes 2 for a long time, you may have a considerable number damaged cells in your body due to high sugar level. These damaged cells need to be converted to normal cells by following three steps:

1) Take antioxidants like ALA, carrot juice, etc.

2) Keep the body alkaline by consuming lemon juice and/or baking soda, etc.

3) Take chlorophyll by consuming green drinks, etc.

ALA may work like a miracle since it is one of the five antioxidants produced by our body.

Best wishes.

P. Raghavan.
