Garlic really works on lowering high blood pressure. My late grandmother used to steep raw garlic in hot water for at least 3 minutes and drink the tea. She did this everytime she had high blood pressure. When I started having high blood pressure, I opted to use her remedy than taking the medicine prescribed by my doctor. Sometimes I chew a clove of raw garlic and drink water as an alternative to the tea.

You can normalize blood pressure in three months with garlic, but when you add enough cayenne, it can happen in three days. From the book: Curing With Cayenne by Sam Biser and Dr. Richard Schulze

Rob,

Always value your opinion! Have you tested this with your patients?

@ Peter

Yes I have. I make a liquid Amish Artery Cleaner for my patients to consume 3x/daily for 3 months. It has ALOT of garlic in it. I have seen it lower total cholesterol levels by 100 points and normalize blood pressure. It taste like smelly gym socks... but it works.

Hypotensive Action (lowering the blood pressure) of Tincture of Garlic.

The National Druggist, Volume 52,1922

Garlic has been used in popular medicine and been credited by old writers as possessing wonderful curative properties. During the last twelve years it has again come into favor. It possesses marked vermifuge properties, and it has given excellent results in the cure of pulmonary affections-tuberculosis, gangrene, whooping cough, etc. It has vaso-dilatory properties. The 1 in 5 tincture is administered in doses of 20 to 40 drops daily, in two or three administrations. No untoward effects have been noted during treatment with it. It is eliminated by the respiratory tract. Arterial hypotension begins usually in about thirty or forty-five minutes, rarely more slowly, and is maintained during the next day. – Pharm. Journ
