So here is the way I use BHT. It is the 2nd ingredient in an aerosol can of jock itch spray. I have used it directly on a cold sore and watched the cold sore heal within hours if reapplied several times within a few hours and not drinking lots of liquids so as to dry it up. I have used it systematically by applying it on the inside of both wrists and it works this way too. I also spray it on my little finger of my left hand and this also promotes all over body healing.

If I spray it on my feet for athletes feet, the fungus and or virus whichever is at the time starting the itching and soreness and I do have both, MOVES up to the mouth area and I am stuck with a cold sore. If I get this stuff as I have on the fronts of my lower legs, I can use it there and it works to kill it there but also does not cause the infection to move to other areas. It dries out my lips to a degree and literally stops the reaction from my body.

I know you may think this is all ridiculous but it is the truth. The active ingredient in this is Tolnaftate 1% then alcohol, then BHT so I guess it may be the 3rd ingredient. All I know is this combo works so well at detoxing me and clearing viruses and fungus that I wanted to tell you about it. It does work to put it on the skin rather than take it internally for me. I assume the alcohol is a great carrier of it and of course has benefits of killing surface germs as well. So I will continue to use this the way I do because it doesn't harm me at all and clearly works throughout my entire body without the risk of taking too much. I only use it when I need to. I always find it to work.

Far out and right on, Birdy from Iowa. Fantastic my friend. I have an on and off again problem with jock itch and intend to give your treatment a try. The BHT is amazing stuff....Oscar

Birdy, can you tell us where to get tolnaftate, and possibly give us the proportions that you mixed to get your solution, I.e. how much alcohol in ounces, how much BHT, one or two caps, or whatever, and how much of this tolnaftate in whatever form it can be purchased? Can't wait to try it for fungal, etc. of the skin.

Well, Birdy did not respond yet so I will: I mixed the BHT with ISOPROPANOL [ 70% SOLUTION as commonly sold at drugstores ]. Now I mixed about 350mg of BHT in about 1/16th of a cup of isopropanol with very good results for jock itch. I applied this mixture with a Kleenex type of tissue. I still have a lot left to use because that one application is still working after 5 or more days. I just swabbed the infected area thoroughly and the jock itch infection is still gone after said 5 day with one application only....Oscar
