Just fyi, lower pH is acidic; higher is alkaline. The vagina is a naturally acidic environment (low pH), so that's why vinegar is a good option.Replied By Randa Fox (Houston, TX) on 11/01/2014

I've been dealing with the pre-menapausal irregular bleeding for a month and the vaginal itch for a couple of weeks, tried apple cider vinegar mixed in water directly on the itch with some relief, tried sea salt with some relief, but still driving me nuts. I'm going to try drinking the apple cider vinegar and and putting it on the area without mixing with water. Thank you for the tip!Replied By Benna (Ny) on 08/05/2015
Has anyone else tried using plain white vinegar? I drink ACV and am a big fan, but find the ordinary (much cheaper) white stuff works just as well externally.Replied By B (Brooklyn Ny) on 10/02/2018
