I found this remedy for the external itching of the vagina from a yeast infection on the internet somewhere. I didn't have any garlic cloves at the time. I can't lie to you. If your vagina is irritated from the itching, it will burn like hell to begin with. However, it only burned for a minute or less. I had run out of options when I tried this remedy and didn't have many ingredients at home. So I tried this and it did help alot. Afterwards, all of the discomfort and itching subsided very quickly. Mix garlic powder and warm water together to make a thick paste. Make sure that it isn't too soupy or too thick. Apply it to the affected external area of the vagina. I know it stinks and it may burn for a little bit, but it's better to have the garlic odor and a little bit of burning than to continuously itch, burn, be in pain and have inflammation. This remedy is well worth the effort if you need immediate relief. It sure helped me and I am thankful.

Enje Pretty from Canada--

I have the same thing since last summer. What really helps is sesame oil or Maha Narayan oil which is sesame oil with added minerals used for many things. It works immediately without the terrible pain when using ACV.

Oils are anti fungal. In between one can pacify the area with chamomile tea pack or wash. All other remedies in EC did not work for me. The terrible itch is gone and it does not seem to spread which seemed the case before. What I fear is did this fungal infection move up inside? Then, what to do. Namaste, Om

Oh you so much for the hint on mixing garlic powder and water to a paste and smearing it on. I did not sleep last night because of intense itching and couldn't find anything that brought any relief . I was desperate and tried the garlic paste and it took it mostly away. I waited a few hrs and did it again and am almost 100% ok. A few twangs of itching. Thank you so much. It does burn for about 5 mins but was well worth it. I was miserable. Hopefully I can sleep tonight.

Word of caution about using garlic paste ALONE. It can burn your skin, and in the most delicate region we're talking about for a yeast infection, proceed, carefully. I recommend putting a small amount of crushed garlic in olive oil and vitamin E. Then apply to your private parts. Otherwise, you can apply pure garlic and feel hell fire on your ass. Make sure you're near a bathtub for an emergency drenching.

I have also used the garlic paste method, but I have found a better way to apply it.

Cut open a tea bag (just enough to empty out the tea and put new stuff in) or get the filters from a tea store, as I said empty the tea out and put in the powder, add oil to the tea bag if you'd like, run it under water and there you go!

I still don't leave it on, but you get the soothing from the oil and the powder but the cleanup is a little easier. I usually make two 'tea' bags each time.
