I am another success story using the Turmeric treatment! I have suffered from boils and a so called MRSA diagnosis for the past 2 months. I have had 6 boils on the back of my legs to my face. I was placed on 2 antibiotics from Cipro to cylindamicyin, neither worked and were incorrectly prescribed by my doctor ( both are MRSA resistant). I have been on turmeric for 10 days now and all my boils are gone! I am taking two 500 mg capsules a day and will continue to do so! I used to get a boil then about 7 days after the boil another one would start. Now I am boil free! Along with the turmeric I am washing with physohex and using bactroban 2% cream on any further outbreaks. I have told my doctor and they too can't understand it. They do say turmeric can't hurt you and is a natural antioxidant. Thanks for the helpful information Earthclinic. I don't know if I am cured, but I guess if I stop taking turmeric I will see!

My family has had MRSA 21 times. I have gotten rid of MRSA myself on my own body 3 times without taking antibiotics but found turmeric alone did not work the 3rd time. I also used a magnesium supplement- natural Calm.

The ph info I have read on MRSA makes a lot of sense to me.following this principal i have also used borax in the laundry' and epsom salts(magneisium) and baking soda in the bath. We use Mr. Clean multi surface to clean with as it states on the back of the cleaner it kills MRSA most cleaners don't - i know this is not a natural remedy but i have a daugter with Cystic Fibrosis and must kill other germs in my home also- I have read that clorox wipes do not kill mrsa we were using these in the begining of our outbreaks. My child with CF I have not been able to cure with natural remedies. I think turmeric tastes horrid -- kudos to you who drink it in tea. I have purchased the capsules for those of us who can swallow pills. For my younger children i have found a liquid version at the health food store just yesterday - they can not taste it in chocolate milk. I also cook with the spice. it is great in chicken salad and on a roast. The natural remedies we are now practicing in our home have definitely helped reduce the break outs but it is still not gone. I have just purchased colliodal silver supplement. As I just read about that having good results. I have posted my families story on MRSA notes. I beieve in natural cures but also know this is a bad bug and would not recommend waiting too long to seek a doctors help if you do not get immediate results with the natural cure. Good luck to all that are fighting MRSA!

Thank you so very much for providing such a helpful website. I am a 20 year old girl, I feel like MRSA has taken my life and shattered it to pieces. I am against taking harsh, expensive drugs from the Doctor because of the side effects and price. I have been taking Turmeric tablets, and magnesium chloride tablets for a while now. I have one boil on a sensitive part of my body for months now, almost a year, and it's both painful and big. I have taken natural vinegar with honey and put it on the effected area. It seems to clear it up, but it shortly refesters and swells. I have no energy, I sleep a lot and am in a serious depression because of what this has done to me. Is there any way I could take a supplement to regain my strength? I would love to live again. Thank you again for such a great website and tips.

Amanda, I also have suffered with MRSA boils and subsequent lethargy (to put it lightly...) I agree the Earth Clinic site and turmeric cure are angelic! As for your query regarding energy - I discovered the Raw Paleo Diet about a year ago and found it extraordinarily invigorating. I had previously been vegetarian for 10 years and the RPG appeared very extreme when I first read about it. However, at that time I was in need of something extreme and I am so pleased to have tried it because when I am strict with the diet I feel on top of the world and that was something I had thought I would never experience again since a long time. I also use the turmeric cure for the boils. However, I use about an inch or so of fresh turmeric per dose - it tastes wonderful and may be more potent. My favourite is with a salad of papaya, fresh coriander and lemon juice (lemon/lime and papaya are a match made in heaven). The RPG diet varies person to person. You must find what works for you - sashimi, oysters or steak tatare are obvious examples. The general health benefits (and energy) are extraordinary. There is some great information about the Raw Paleo Diet from someone called the Raw Paleo Guy (RPG) at allexperts.

For Amanda from Terre Haute, Indiana. I had something festering on my leg and think it may have been MRSA - from a workout room where my shins touched a piece of equipment. I immediately put cayenne powder on it and stopped the bleeding and it healed up over the next week with that one application. I think it might be worth a try to rub cayenne powder on it to see if that might not do it.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

Turmeric cured my son's MRSA. He seen a doctor for four months and it would not go way when taking two of the same and two different kinds a medication. I let my fingers do the walking and found this web page. I know it does not cure, but does suppress the MRSA. He and I say thank you very much. I know it only suppress because when not taking the systoms come back!!! Thanks Michelle and Michael from Indy!!

turmeric cured my mrsa. i was on just about every kind of antibiotic available. amoxicillin, levaquin, clendamicin. tetracycline, bactrim ds, and bactrim ds with riampin together.all over the period of 3 1/2 months. they were going to put me in the hospital on iv vanco. i tried turmeric within days the boils started going away. i used 1 teaspoon three times daily. it took about two weeks. i havent had a boil in over a month now. the sad thing is that i first read about turmeric on this web site after the first antibiotic failed. i figured there is now way it could work.. i will never doubt a natural cure again. thank you for this web site.

Do not be fooled in to thinking you have been cured of MRSA. You cured/healed the boil, but you will be a chronic carrier of MRSA in your nostrils. I am a Registered Nurse, and I know for a fact that everyone on the planet harbors colonies of staph bacteria in their noses. What makes MRSA unique is that it is staph bacteria that have become resistant to antibiotics because of the overuse/misuse/abuse of antibiotics. I read on the Tennessee Board of Education website an article that was published concerning Community Acquired MRSA and school children. IN the article, it stated that boils will heal with or without antibiotic treatment, so I opt not to take antibiotics when I get another boil. Antibiotics is what has led us to the condition we are in now.

The best thing to do is eat right, get enough rest, practice and be vigilent with your skin hygeine, and avoid stress. I develop these painful boils, always on my face, when I am under stress.

I have a boil on my upper inner thigh. I think it started on Friday, and I started turmeric on Monday. I was taking one heaping teaspoon, in chocolate milk, three times a day. It kept getting uglier and uglier. My wife really got on my case and finally I promised I would seek a doctor if it didn't seem to be getting better in a couple of days.

Thursday rolled around and it was looking pretty bad. I could squeeze out bloody pus, the surrounding area was hard and the red infection streaks were moving down my leg. It was showing no signs of improving and actually was getting progressively worse.

The doc incised it and stuffed in a wick. He also took a culture, which turned out to be MRSA. He also prescribed two weeks of sulfameth antibiotic. BTW, we live in an area of about 30,000 people and the doctor said he is seeing two or three of these a day!

Went back the next day and they found a lot of dead tissue, which he snipped out. Yesterday, I made my fourth daily visit and the doc said it looked a lot better and I can now change the dressing myself.

Maybe I didn't get on the turmeric program early enough, but for now, I would have to say that it didn't work.
One other comment, I was also mixing the turmeric with an antibiotic cream and applying it to the boil (before I went to the doctor).
This later struck me as a very bad idea. After all, it is just a powder purchased at the grocery store with no hint of sterility. Here in the USA we have problems with people getting sick from tainted spinach and strawberries. Why would Turmeric from India be any less risky?

If I have another outbreak, I may try the turmeric a little earlier, but I will also monitor it closely and get to the doctor sooner.

TURMERIC CURED MY MRSA.

I have been fighting a battle with boils/cysts since February 2007. From Feb to Apr 2007 I have been lanced in the operating theater 3 times, and 5 times in the surgeons consultation rooms. The cysts would appear on the right loin, lanced, then another would appear on the left loin. I have seen an urologist, internist, ear, nose and throat specialist, and surgeon whose answer to everything was lance it. It was a battle which started to effect my work, personal life. Within 48 hours the boil will start, and then grow till ready to burst. I couldn't plan any holidays, trips.

Then after May 2007 it went away, and I was ecstatic about this "remission" as it turned out. Lo and behold October 2007 it can back with a vengeance. Which I had once again lanced. This seems to correspond with Earth Clinic's theory on rain and MRSA because no boil appeared during these winter months.

Then I decided to take my health into my own hands and made an appointment with a natural health practitioner. He did help a lot in reversing free radical damage, etc but he said to cut caffeine and aspartame. Which I did, but the boils re-appeared. My GP said that the medical profession can't help my further. I then went Cyberhunting and came upon earthclinic.com. I have read the testimonies of almost everybody and decided to give turmeric a run for its money. I also decided not to report back within a couple of days to ensure tried results before any feedback.

2 Boils started to appear on my left loin. In less than a day the boils were red and inflamed. I immediately went to the nearest supermarket to purchase turmeric. Within a couple of hours the pain seemed less. The next morning the pain was CONSIDERABLY less and the boils shrunk to 1/3 of its original size. And on day 3 zip, gone, nothing, nada.

I have been using Turmeric for 1.5 months and it is still gone.

I want to thank earthclinic and Ted for their efforts and I would like to state today that you guys have saved my life, literally. I was on my way to fournier's gangrene and I do not think I would've survived that.

Some comments on the Turmeric journey:

It does give you constipation and dehydrate you. Drink plenty water and buy some extra electrolytes.

For the padded problem try Milk of Magnesium, 2 teaspoons should turn on Niagara falls.

I am currently experiencing with dosage, and I am currently running on 1 half teaspoon morning and night. Remember we are all different so test what works best for you.

I wish you well.

This website is a Godsend. I have been battling MRSA boils for about 6 months now. I had one lanced by the doctor which was extremely painful (the boil and the lancing). I also went through three courses of increasingly strong antibiotics. I have to admit, I was living on a horrible diet for a 44 year old woman - way too many carbs and sugar. When the dr. said if the last course of antibiotics didn't work I would have to see an infectious disease specialist, I became dedicated to finding something that worked. I started with oil of oregano which I read about on this site and then added turmeric which I read about on another site. When I tapped into the turmeric, I came back to this site and read all the wonderful information here. So far this combo is a dream. When my last boil came up - three weeks ago, I felt like I was going to lose it. I took 4 tablets of turmeric over the course of the day and honestly, the next day the boil was totally deflated! A dream come true . . . ! I've also revamped my diet and added multivitamins, probiotics and started exercising! Time will tell but I'm optimistic - finally!

For about a year, I've been suffering with what the doctors told me was a staph infection or boils. I was visiting my mother in El Paso for the holidays in September, October, and November and broke out every month. One of the visits to the ER, I must have had about 12 boils on my buttocks. I told the Doctor that from my visit to the clinic in houston that I had a staph infection or boils. The Doctor's in the ER stated to me that staph infection and boils are all the same. On that finally visit in the ER, the Doctor took a culture sample to test it. Turned out to be MRSA. I was on antibotics for about 15 days. A month and a half went by, and once again, I was suffering with a boil on my buttocks. I tried your 3x's a day turmeric and apply a very hot towel on the boil. It took about 4 days to finally completely drain. I was told about turmeric after boil was big. I think its finally working. Thank You, Earth Clinic.

re: Turmeric. Works like a charm. The only downside is trying to drink it in warm milk. THe taste is too strong!!! Thinking of buying capsules and just eating them 2x! My bones feel fluid and oiled :) MRSA boils gone (couldn't believe I've been on Septra DS twice in a span of short periods of time). My immune seems to be up. Next step is to do a liver and gall bladder cleanse; then oil pulling and stick to some form of a modified vegan diet (with fish)! Happy 2008 to all coz i have a good feeling :)

About 2 years ago I started to have boils (which I am pretty sure I picked up at a nursing home during RN clinicals). A few days later, my wife and daughter also had a breakout of boils. We all went to the Dr. and were told that we had MRSA. Each of us had to take Bactrim (orally), Bactroban (swab in nose) and Hibacleanse to bathe with in the shower. After several boils and days of antibiotics, they went away. About 6 months later, I began to get more of these boils under my arm and a couple on my inner thigh and foot. I went back to the Dr. and was told again that I had MRSA and was put on another regimen of Bactrim, etc...I was told that the boils under my arm may never go away as they do not come to a head and drain. I took the meds and all but my underarm cleared up. After about 3 months of continuous boils under my arm, I searched for a "herbal" remedy and found this stie. I ordered the turmeric and began taking 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. After 9 days, ALL of my boils were gone from under my arm. I then decided to back off of the turmeric some and within 2 weeks, I had a huge one on my left arm that had to be eventually drained. I am currently taking the bactrim, etc...but also an antibiotic called Rifampin. I began taking the turmeric again and do not plan to get off of it EVER. I will post again later to let everyone know if the turmeric is keeping them away.

I've suffered from boils on the inside of my legs by my bikini line and buttocks for almost 10 years. I've had two surgically removed. NOT fun. I somehow stumbled-across this website and was intrigued with all the success stories. I've had three boils on my buttocks for about a year. No way could they be drained without a doctor's visit/lancing. Yesterday I went to the health food store and purchased Tumeric capsules. Took two 300mg caps yesterday. This morning I checked, and the boils had significantly decreased in size, and had started to drain. I can't believe it!! I told my husband and he's also in disbelief. I've taken three more capsules today, hoping the remaining soreness and inflamation will go away in the next few days.

As far as MRSA goes, I wouldn't be surprised if the boils were MRSA. I have worked in hospitals for a few years now, and the scary truth is EVERY hospital of any size has a patient with MRSA at least once a month. They expect it, and really don't do much to keep others from walking into these patients rooms without gowning-up, masks, gloves, etc. The only way I know that a patient has MRSA is if I happen to see it in their chart, or if they have parked a gown cart outside the patient's room. Bottom line: Don't go to a hospital if you don't want to be exposed to MRSA. If you have a friend or relative that works in a hospital or other health care setting, know that they are more than likely carriers of MRSA.

I developed MRSA in 2005 while in the hospital for an extended period of time, due to complication related to cancer treatment. It has been a recurring problem and I have had outbreaks, which manifest themselves as very painful boils, a number of times since then. I get very sick from the antibiotics that are used to treat the disease and so was looking for some alternative solutions. I read about the use of Turmeric on this site and thought I would try it. I had a boil which was near the point of breaking the skin under my left arm. I began to take Turmeric, 1 teaspoon in almond milk (plain or vanilla flavored) twice a day and within one day the swelling began to go down and within four days the sore has completly disappeared. Thank you to all who have shared their stories on this site, I am know a believer and hope that in the future I can avoid the outbreaks and antibiotics. It is my intention to continue with a small amount of Turmeric daily and I will report the results.

I had a bad case of MRSA last October while I was working at t a fire station in Tuaolmne County, Ca. I ended up having to go to the emergency room. I developed what I thought was a spider bite in the back of my neck. It kept growing and became very infected and painful. Within 3 days, blood was seeping out of it and it was a contatnt throbbing and Advil would not even take the pain away. I thought I was bit by a Brown Recluse spider! I went to the ER, they said I had a Staph infection, cut the infection out of my neck (I had a VERY deep hole in the back of my neck!) gave me antibiotics and I was off work for two weeks. I had to have someone come over to my house daily and change the dressing in the hole in the back of my neck while it healed. It took about a month to heal. The pain was so bad that I was prescribed Vicodin. I had to take two about a half hour before the dressing was changed just to handle the pain and it was still really bad! (Ironically I was the third firefighter that year at the station that developed this MRSA. We all assumed we were being bitten by Brown Recluse spiders because the station was overrun with them. They were everywhere! A few days ago I developed what felt like ANOTHER bite on the back of my neck fairly close to the spot where I had the infection last year. (this was at a different fire station...) After hearing about all the MRSA infections on the news I started panicking a bit. I thought "am I gonna have the whole back of neck cut out? Why does this keep happening?" I was really worried. Than I found your web site. I bought some Turmeric. I have been drinking it with chocolate milk (alot! ha ha) and I combined it with yogurt and put it on the back of my neck. Guess what? The thing is almost gone after a day of drinking the turmeric! Thank you Thank you Thank you. I am so happy that I found out about Turmeric. Last October was probably the most painful experience I have ever had, I have a terrible scar to show for it and it is nice to know that there can be a cure, a NATURAL cure!

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I had for half a year MRSA on my foot. I have been taking turmeric as recommended for the past 4 months. it inhibited further growth and dried up the boils. but that's about it. If I stop taking it, the MRSA is back in business as usual. I know; I tried this very thing once. so now what? Daniel
