I am 15 years old and i've been using ACV for a week now. I have already lost 5lbs and 2 inches off my waist. I am so happy. I have made a combination of all of the recipes that i found on this site and this is my recipe.

-1/2 cup ACV
-2 tbs of honey
-1 quart water
-Apple juice
-maple syrup (the real stuff)

Sip this concoction throughout the day and you're definitely going to notice the difference. I certainly have!!! I've told my parents about it and my mother has lost 4llbs, my dad 10lbs!!! I am so happy. Wish me luck in losing the 30lbs that i want to!

I have been using ACV pills and Cayenne Pepper capsules to lose weight. I have been taking them now for three weeks. I have noticed a difference already. With a little exercise at least 5 times a day, nothing strenuous and cutting down on fatty foods and snacks have helped me loose weight so far. I have not weighed myself yet, but will do so after I see more results. Everyone is complimenting me telling me that I have been loosing weight. It feels good to hear that. My clothes are fitting looser and that makes me feel good. I don't particularly like the taste of ACV itself so I opted for the pills and the pepper not such a fan of the really hot stuff either but they work just as good. If you don't like the cayenne pepper use the capsules. You should take them with food so that you don't feel the heartburn or the uncomfortable feeling in your stomach in the beginning. After a few you will not have any symptoms. So far it has worked for me. I'll keep taking them until I finish the bottles and by then I should have shed more weight.

Has anyone mixed apple cider vinegar with blackstrap molasses for weight loss. If so, how did it help?

I don't know whether my answer will help you but for a while I took molasses and ACV, not because I needed to lose weight but for my health in general. I noticed that I started to lose weight so I stopped. People were starting to complain that I had lost too much weight but again.... I wasn't really overweight, so I don't know whether it will work for you! I never put the weight on again although I eat quite well!

How much of each did you use daily? Did you mix it together or with other liquids? Thank you for responding.

I've been taking 1 tablespoon of ACV and 1 tablespoon of BSM in orange juice and water. I've lost 4 pounds in 2 days. I read on here that if you take the ACV in orange juice, that you don't taste it. That is absolutely the truth. I'm taking this combination 3 times a day and following it with water. If this is not a safe way, please respond. Thank you.

I forgot to mention that it has drastically affected my appetite. I no longer crave sweets, but, have noticed I like salty foods. Does anyone know if this is normal? I never really liked salt that much before this. Also, it does make me urinate much more than I ever have.

You will know if you're taking too much, but I'd say the amount you're taking is getting around the upper limit... If your Urine turns yellow, don't worry that's the fat getting excreted. You could always back off a bit till the urine looks normal then up it a bit.

I realize this is an old post, but wanted to respond for other people reading. I would guess the craving for salt is due to the potassium in the orange juice, which is not a negative. My understanding is potassium and sodium need to be balanced in the body; an increase in one can create a craving in the other. Wishing good health to us all.

On the ACV bottle it suggest taking ACV with blackstrap molasses. I have tried this and it has a very good taste. Does anyone know if this has the same weight loss benefits??

I'm so excited that I found this great website, it seems like I'm addicted since I come here for all kinds of health concerns and I always find great advice from all of you!

I started with the ACV and the Molasses two weeks ago, my main concern was losing weight and be healthier, I feel good I had not experience any allergies or sinuses problems, but I had not seen any improvement in regards of my weight, I had cut down the carbs and I'm eating small portions and still have not seen not even 1 pound.

I bought the organic vinegar the brand recommended in this website with the mother, I take this vinegar 3 times a day before meals the first time I take it right after the molasses first thing in the morning.

I wonder if it is the combination of the 2 the vinegar and molasses that is not allowing me to see any results in regards of the weight. Please advice. Thanks.

It has been around 3 weeks and I had finished two bottles of ACV with BSM in it, every 3 times a day hoping to see a drop in my weight but to no avail. One week ago, i have this terrible headache and dizzy spell and it even caused me to throw out very badly.I even realised that I've gained 2 kg since i started on the remedy. I did not give up and continue the remedy thinking that it must be a correction. This time round I even add in psyllium husk to my drink to help on my constipation problem. Guss what, it is indeed a correction (keep my finger cross), I feel more energized, all my skin problems eg. cuts and acne healed faster and i started having regular bowels everyday. No more aching back and I've got lesser food craving nowadays. I am doing more study on VCO and shall keep you guys posted on my statues.

Actually I am confused with the brand of organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Virgin Coconut Oil to be used for weight loss. Suggest a suitable one.

Hi Sims, As per the policy of this site we can't write the brand names. But in India Apple cider vinegar is being imported of two companies one is in plastic bottle and the other is in glass bottle, I will suggest to use the glass one. Extra virgin coconut oil is being exported from India and the company is located at Jaipur, Rajasthan. If you like you can call me on 09322887066.

I know we have the problem, getting lot of things in India which are mentioned on this site for treatment.

I use Bragg's organic ACV and Dr. Bronner's organic coconut oil. Two of my favorite brands; both are reputable.

I take a daily concoction of 1 tsp ACV, 4 ounces of unsweetened cranberry juice, 12 ounces of water, and half of a squeezed lemon. It's part of an eating plan and it's said to help cleanse the liver. All I know about it after seven days is that I feel generally better. I am prone to UTI's so the cranberry is definitely helping, and I've lost 4 pounds in eight days. (Of course, I'm following a prescribed plan of eating all natural foods and eating every three hours). It's a bitter drink, but I'm still drinking it!

In response to Michelle from Houston, TX -- If the drink is bitter, try adding some grade b maple syrup to the mix. Although its adding some calories, your also adding some vital nutrients which will give you energy and good health. I highly recommend it over honey any day! (Goes well in tea too).

I am drinking my first cup of ACV with some honey for a sore throat but the side effect of losing weight would be wonderful. So since the pain of the distaste will likely cure my sore throat and maybe even help me lose some weight I'm ready to go. These letters are wonderful. I came to this sight looking for a natural cure for my friends dog who has a calcium deposit on his back. Can't wait to see if I lose weight!

I've been taking 2 tablespoons of raw organic apple cider vinegar diluted in 8oz of water and sweetened with 1 tablespoon of raw organic honey at night before bed. I'll be honest, I was extremely skeptical when I started this one week ago along with exercise and healthy eating. I've lost 8lbs and 2 inches from my waist in only 1 week!! I am amazed at the results. I've NEVER lost weight this quickly using diet and exercise alone. I'm now a believer in ACV. My skin is glowing and my energy levels are thru the roof! No more bloating and I just have an overall sense of well-being. Try it! It works!!

Very true..... Even taking only a teaspoon a day in a glass of water I lose weight meaning.... I don't think that I can take ACV (it is not as if I need to lose weight, to be honest...). Moreover my tongue gets coated after a few days. Too bad as it seems to be quite healthy. No idea why so many people seem to take it without a problem and I do have a few issues.

I am 39 years old and recently realized that going to restaurants can set me back 10 days sometimes in my weight loss regime. I realized this after going to a home-style indian restaurant 2 weeks ago. Their food was delicious, but cooked in lots of butter and sugar. It literally took 10 days to cover. My body fat went up by 1% after the meal and only today, 10 days later, has my weight dropped .50 of a pound, even though I have been exercising every day and on a very healthy, low fat diet at home. So I think one has to be very vigilant about the butter when going to a restaurant and ask that the food be prepared in olive oil. 10 days to recover from 1 meal -- can you believe it??

i think your weight gain and fat % was mostly do to the salt content of the food. loosing the salt after it enters your body usually takes 10 days.

Butter in itself isn't bad, in fact it is much healthier and will have much less (if any) effect on your weight than the same amount of polyunsaturated oils or hydrogenated oils. The Indian restuarant was probably using clarified butter (ghee) which does not have milk solids in it. Not as bad, but coconut oil in Indian and other cooking is way better and should not be avoided.

As for restaurants, its all about choices. You dont have to "avoid restaurants" altogether. the main thing is to consider the portion size, sugar content, and beware of added flavorings like MSG.

I got a huge pot of organic spun honey from the farmer's market last month. It was delicious, but after a couple of weeks, I noticed a huge buildup of dead cells on my tongue towards the back. It was pretty gross. I also felt my metabolism slowing down and I gained a couple of pounds even though I was eating very healthily. I bought regular honey at Whole Foods last weekend and after 3 days my tongue is back to normal and I am starting to lose those 2 pounds! Interesting, eh?!

That's weird about the MSG... MSG makes me feel full. So whereas I could normally eat a whole bowl of whatever, suddenly I can only eat half of it. IT DOES give me a wicked headache, however. I avoid MSG whenever possible. We don't eat much fast food (very rarely) and I cook most of our meals from scratch - it's the beauty of being a Stay At Home Mom.

We're not immunizing our son for the exact reasons you mentioned, Ted. The safety of these vaccines are simply not proven. Plus when we asked our Pediatrician to tell us what the exact ingredients were and what the procedure was for making these vaccines, she couldn't answer on either account. That's just not safe and uninformed... I simply do not trust it.

Thank you Ted.

Dear Earthclinic, I have tried many remedies over the years to remove the belly fat on my stomach and hips. I have been drinking one tablespoon of liquid bentonite clay which I purchased at the local health food store about six weeks ago. I have lost about 3" on my belly and 2" on my hips. The other reason I'm drinking this is that it detoxes metal from the body. The taste is mild and I take it only at night with a glass of water. To date, I have more energy, eat less as I feel full, and my body feels lighter. There are more benefits to ingesting clay but too numerous to mention. A 16oz. fluid bottle cost about $8.00 and has about two months worth of bentonite liquid clay.

Bentonite Clay removes all bacteria. So If your worried about negative effects, just make sure your taking good pro & prebiotics a few hours after you take it. I could see it causing havoc with prolonged use without aiding your body in gaining those back.
