Chemical Flushes
Posted by Elly (Topeka, Kansas) on 06/14/2011

I was buying BPA free plastics but I read that tests on those plastics revealed that 90% of them contain different estrogen mimicking chemicals. I look at the many supplements I own that come in plastic containers BPA and BPA-free. Do I switch them to tinted glass bottles? How much is absorbed into the supplement by the time I get it? I've also come to find BPA is in recycled toilet paper and contact lenses and the plastics of eyeglasses and lots of other things. Does anyone know what can we do to flush these chemicals out of our body since we probably can't be 100% free of them? Thanks.

Liver and Kidney Cleanse
Posted by Jeff (Mckinney, Texas, United States) on 06/14/2011

What is the best way to cleanse the liver and kidneys and do I need to do it in certain order? I've read to cleanse the kidneys first then the liver but it seems the things Bill & Ted (Yes, we're on an Excellent Adventure -- sorry, couldn't resist! ) recommend are kind of a dual cleanse. Here's what I am thinking:

1) Chanca Piedra - 1000mg 2x a day at meals; OR

2) 2x a day at meals: Alpha Lipoic Acid - 300mg, Selenium - 200 mcgs, and Milk Thistle - 1000 mgs.

Where does Cat's Claw or Heart Vine come into play here? Is there any need to do a parasite cleanse first? I've never done any type of cleanse before so don't know what to expect or even if I need to do it.

Fruit and Juice Fast

First time for me, fruit and fruit juice fast.. Only 2nd day but not hungry, when get hungry a little, take an orange, grape, banana, or fruit juice.. Just a little takes care of the feeling.. But what l like happens.. When the body gets hungry and tired of the juice.. It attacks the dead cells, the trash, and the fat in the body.. Eats that for nourishment.. It never attacks the healthy cells or healthy parts of the inners of the body. I never knew that.. Thats really great.. I will hold out for 13 days maybe more. got lots of fat for the body to have a feast. looking forward to get rid of the bad stuff

I order my seeds online in bulk. I eat them raw. (more nutrient rich that way) I do not sprout them like I do Alfalfa. Alfalfa, I soak for about 10 hours then rinse and drain 2-3 times a day for about a week, keeping covered until the last few days. Fenugreek, I start out the same as Alfalfa, but I only let them sprout for a couple of days, letting the "tail" grow only about an eigth of an inch. They taste very nutty and the texture is like a sprouted grain (it has good "chew").

BTW, I had posted this to go under the Fenugreek catagory for remedies and several people had said that fenugreek makes your boobs get bigger. Now that I see my post under detox remedies, it looks a little funny reading that part... Just wanted to share my experience :-)

Hi Francisca - we have a lot in common I think! Lol. I have yet to put on the cd that came with my "new" rebounder. I usually just watch a favorite tv show while I jump. I have been doing it less than a year, but hope that I will keep it up like you have! I do love it! :-) No longer get winded at all like in the beginning!

Posted by Carly (Seattle, Wa - Usa) on 06/06/2011

Hi Debbie - My mom had one of those vibrating machines when I was a kid back in the 1960's. (if we are talking about the same thing). I would personally rather use the rebounder. The workout is exhilirating, and leaves me feeling energized now... It is actually a FUN workout. The machine my mom had never seemed to do a thing for her, except for leaving red welts where the strap went across her. It smelled like burning gear / motor oil too. I remember it well. lol.

Posted by Debbie (Melbourne, Australia) on 06/06/2011

Instead of rebounding Carly would those machines that you stand on and they vibrate have the same effect? Vibrate the toxins out? Would be less exhausting for you.

Posted by Francisca (Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France) on 06/06/2011

Hi Carly, you sure don't work for a rebound company because I don't work either and my story is the same as you. What a difference do the more expensive trampolines make.... Like you I can't imagine I ever used the other one! Great fun though..... I have a couple of CD's but nowadays I just exercise to some nice music. Like you first I was awfully tired but now I am ok, I have been doing it on and off for maybe three years.

Posted by Carly (Seattle , Wa Usa) on 06/06/2011

YES -! The lyph glands have one way valves. They do not empty of their own accord unless you are MOVING. Jumping on a mini trampoline (aka rebounder) is the most effective way to get the toxins out! I bought a cheap rebounder ($30-$35 dollars delivered from Wally Mart online) and I used it for about a month or so until I knew it was something I wanted to do - and then I bought an expensive "springless" model with the bungee cords instead of those noisy springs. The expensive "soft jump" model was worth every penny! I couldn't believe I actually liked the cheap one after I bounced on my new one. Hey, what you don't know.... ;-) If your knees and joints are an issue, you NEED the more expensive model, just be sure it is something you will do, and not just sit there collecting dust and making you feel guilty. Ha ha. Oh, and start off S-L-O-W. I started off at 3 mins... And was exhausted! Thought there was no way I would ever be able to jump long enough for it to have a health benefit. Well, adding a minute here and there I am now up to 20 mins at a time. I am working my way up to 30 mins a day, and will be very happy with that. It is AWESOME exercise, and SO much easier on the body than running. No pounding on a hard surface = NO pain! No, I do not work for any rebounding companies. ;)

Ted, Please help!

Does rebounding (trampoline) excercise really get rid of Toxins in your body ? See Claim below.

One of rebounding's special benefits is its ability to improve flow in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is the metabolic garbage can of the body. It rids the body of toxins, fatigue substances, dead cells, cancer cells, nitrogenous wastes, trapped protein, fatty globules, pathogenic bacteria, infectious viruses, foreign substances, heavy metals, and other assorted junk the cells cast off.

Do you eat the sprouts raw or do you cook them? Do you use seeds from the supermarket spice section?

I first got turned on to Fenugreek at the Optimum Health Institute (outside Austin, Texas), where I try to go a couple of times a year for a week at a time for several days of juice fasting, ''sandwiched" by several days of raw, organic meals and all the wheatgrass one could consume!

Fenugreek (according to OHI's literature) is a blood purifier, it cleanses the liver, kidney, and pancreas, it soothes mucous membranes and reduces inflammation.

1 tablespoon of fenugreek (sprouted) (again according to OHI's literature) contains: 2.55 grams protein, 6.47 grams carbs, minerals: K, P, Mg, Ca, Na, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Se, vitamins: C, B3, B1, B2, B9, A, and it has 2.73 grams of fiber.

I must say that sprouted fenugeek tastes great! I have heard that the tea is not so pleasant...

OHI used a lot of sprouted fenugreek during our days of the food detox portion. I have heard that it is also very good for the lungs. BTW, my boobs never got any bigger since I have brought this into my regular diet. Also remember, sprouted seeds have much more nutrients than the grown plant (per weight).

When 7 years old, I nearly died with nepthritis [ kidney disease ]. At 39 year old, the pain in that area made me almost weep and it needed to be stopped. I felt something inside said to fast, take only lemon juice and eat "raw" comfrey - I did this from 4.00 pm friday until lunch time sunday and I have never had a pain there since and I am now 68years old. "I thank God for Comfrey" - since then I have spoke to people who have also been set free of disease in the kidneys through comfrey and its healing "alantoin". I only ate about 7 hand sized leaves over 3 days.

Liver Detoxification: Castor Oil

I have always used Castor Oil Packs to strengthen my liver and kidneys. The liver can grow itself back if you take the time to do it.

You get cold pressed castor oil, wool flannel, a heating pad and a piece of plastic - I use a garbage bag. There are sites online that will explain it in details.

I put the castor oil into a sealed container with the wool flannel and shake it up. You want the castor oil to e dripping from it slowly. I then put the container into the microwave for about 15 or 20 seconds - just to get it heated up. I then put a couple of towels onto my bed or couch and lay down on them. Then I take the wool flannel and put it on my stomach. If you are trying to heal the liver, put it a little bit more over your liver, if you are trying to heal the kidneys, put it over that area. Then I put the garbage bag onto th flannel and then the heating pad - all the way on high (or as high as you can handle). Leave it on for at least one hour and meditate on what you are trying to achieve. After you are finished, wipe your self off with a mixture of Baking soda and water,to get your skin back to the proper ph.

Do this for 4-5 days on and then leave off for the remaining days.

The is a good book calld Edgar Cayce and the Palma Christi. It tells of all the wonderful things that Castor Oil (the Palma Christi) does!

Liver Detoxification: Carbonated Water, Lemon, Sea Salt

Stage 4 cirrohsis of the Liver

Internal Body Cleanser,disenfectant & Rejuvenator
Water (Carbonated Spring, mineral) it has to be carbonated.
Pure Lemon Juice ( from lemons, a lemon squeeze, bottled 100% lemon juice)
Sea Salt

If you are not a fan of the salty food this may take some getting use to.This elixer is a rejuvenator for the a sick, dying liver. Not for the healthy.

Mix sea salt into water in large glass, until it is salty to the taste but still drinkable add lemon juice until you taste salty lemon. Drink it slowly. First time you drink it, it will give you severe diarhea. Drink it slowly & have 2 to 3 glasses a day.

Warning: I took lots of slack from the family. The medical professionals won't like the idea either. I knew. I just knew after much research on cirrohsis, that a very sick liver will begin to recover slowly at first & then your blood tests will begin to come back with much better numbers in the various catagories they check for. This is not a quick fix but is meant to be done over a long period of time. You will see an improvement after about 8 weeks. In between drinking this eleixer make sure you drink plenty of water. Eat lots of vegetsbles, fruit & the leaner meats.Stay away from breads, tortillas & eat sweets in strict moderation especially at first.

You need to take care of yourself & make your health a priority.Something that has probably been missing from your life. I have to take monthly blood tests now 4 years after I was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrohisis. Say goodbeye to any alcohol addicition, if that's why you got this terrible disease.Your liver is sick, slow & lazy. This elixer will wake it up again.Your blood tests should begin to improve in their results within a few short months.. I went from being on the transplant list, to being moved to hepatology & now a family practitioner for monthly visits & blood tests. I have now had quite a few blood tests come back near normal except for slight anemia.I continue with lasix & spirolactone, also laculose although as time passes in less doses. I once thought myself fortunate to survive 2 years after my terminal diagnosis but now going on 5 yeras, I'm no longer consider myself terminal in any sense of the word. I do not have an expiration date any longer!

Liver Detoxification: ACV, Cranberry, Lemon

I take a daily concoction of 1 tsp ACV, 4 ounces of unsweetened cranberry juice, 12 ounces of water, and half of a squeezed lemon. It's part of an eating plan and it's said to help cleanse the liver. All I know about it after seven days is that I feel generally better. I am prone to UTI's so the cranberry is definitely helping, and I've lost 4 pounds in eight days. (Of course, I'm following a prescribed plan of eating all natural foods and eating every three hours). It's a bitter drink, but I'm still drinking it!

Dear Earthclinic, Good day to you. I am wondering if you can add in the ailment category for detox as I cannot find it. Or do you have a link in the posts of the readers/contributors regarding for LIVER, KIDNEY and for BOWEL detox. I want to know the different methods that they are doing for all these detox methods/protocol. Thank you very much, Looking forward for your reply.

Side Effects from Detoxification

Better But With Side Effects

I have been diagnosed with the following HBP, Fibromyalgia, and cluster headaches. So I am willing to try anything to feel better than I do. I was told to take 2 tsp of ACV and 1 tsp of Blackstrap Molasses, and 1/2 cup of Aloe Vera GEL with (alkaline) Water. I have a Alkalizer filter. I have been taking this mix for about 4 days and I have lost 2 pounds a day, Pee like there is no tommorrow, and go several times a day to the bathroom for the other stuff. Blood pressure has been going up even though I am taking my medication. I am itchy all over but I do have more energy and I was told that this will get rid of some toxins in my system which I believe that is true. The itchy is what I do not underwstand is that normal? The fact that I have lost weight makes me happy since I need to loose weight. I am not that hungry anymore, and I do not crave sweet stuff. The doctor said if I lost some weight it would help with the HBP and I also have allergies to Perservatives in the foods especially MSG I breakout in hives. I think that since it cleans toxins in the body and I believe that is why I am itchy due to the toxins being messed with in the body I hope I am right. Because over all I am not going to stop unless something major happens. So far I feel it is helping me with the elimination of toxins and I really need it.
