Researchers at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada have cured cancer last week, yet there is a little ripple in the news or in TV. It is a simple technique using very basic drug. The method employs dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term effects. This drug doesn't require a patent, so anyone can employ it widely and cheaply compared to the costly cancer drugs produced by major pharmaceutical companies. Canadian scientists tested this dichloroacetate (DCA) on human's cells; it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells and left the healthy cells alone. It was tested on Rats inflicted with severe tumors; their cells shrank when they were fed with water supplemented with DCA. The drug is widely available and the technique is easy to use, why the major drug companies are not involved? Or the Media interested in this find? In human bodies there is a natural cancer fighting human cell, the mitochondria, but they need to be triggered to be effective. Scientists used to think that these mitochondria cells were damaged and thus ineffective against cancer. So they used to focus on glycolysis, which is less effective in curing cancer and more wasteful. The drug manufacturers focused on this glycolysis method to fight cancer. This DCA on the other hand doesn't rely on glycolysis instead on mitochondria; it triggers the mitochondria which in turn fights the cancer cells. The side effect of this is it also reactivates a process called apoptosis. You see, mitochondria contain an all-too-important self-destruct button that can't be pressed in cancer cells. Without it, tumors grow larger as cells refuse to be extinguished. Fully functioning mitochondria, thanks to DCA, can once again die. With glycolysis turned off, the body produces less lactic acid, so the bad tissue around cancer cells doesn't break down and seed new tumors.

Pharmaceutical companies are not investing in this research because DCA method cannot be patented, without a patent they can't make money, like they are doing now with their AIDS Patent. Since the pharmaceutical companies won't develop this, the article says other independent laboratories should start producing this drug and do more research to confirm all the above findings and produce drugs. All the groundwork can be done in collaboration with the Universities, who will be glad to assist in such research and can develop an effective drug for curing cancer. Yes, there is strong evidence that this is true. The treatment used is called DICHLORO-ACETATE. It has proven to be very effective for many cancers. I found that The Camelot Cancer Care in Tulsa, Oklahoma has been recommended by many. They do treatments that are intravenous DMSO-based.

I hope this is ok, I don't have a suggestion but a question. I am treating my dog with lymphoma and would like to know if I have to cook the concoction or can I give it raw. I would like to start off by saying this is a great site. I had stage 1 hypertension (142 over 92), and after reading about Apple cider Vinegar, my blood pressure is now normal (115 over 80). My question is about oxygen therapy and how it acts towards cancer. I always heard that if a person goes under the knife for cancer, and the doctors open them up to remove the cancer, then the cancer would spread due to being exposed to the oxygen. Is this true? If a person starts a oxygen therapy because they think that they have cancer, would that help the cancer to spread or would it actually kill the cancer?

I'm not an expert but I have done a great deal of research on cancer. One theory that I tend to lean towards is that tumors are not part of the cancer but a creation of the body in an attempt to contain the cancer cells(which explains why all the attempts to destroy the tumor do so much damage to the body--->the tumor is part of the body). So to answer your question...

IMO oxygen cannot ignite cancer into a faster rate of growth. Cancer cells do not thrive in an oxygen rich environment so logically oxygen therapy can only be beneficial. Also, In my opinion, the reason for cancer spreading so quickly after a biopsy or exploratory surgery is due to the stress these procedures put on the body when it is already in a depressed state that allowed the cancer to develop in the first place.

Francisca, if you have a lot of cancer in your family, you should get the DVD's or watch the movies online. You can also watch on Youtube a lot of information from Charlotte Gerson. Then you find out about this wonderful therapy. The book: "Healing the Gerson way" is guiding you or any cancer patient in doing the therapy at home. It is very good but only if you have already decided to do it. The lifestory "Healing the hopeless" is a great read about Dr. Gerson's life. As to his therapy you can find a lot online. His program has worked on countless cases. It has convinced me from the start. (By the way, I was born in Offenburg, close to Alsace)

Thanks for all the great advice Gabriele. Right now only an aunt of mine has cancer but she is 85 and will die of old age. When I said that I have a lot of cancer in my mother's family I didn't mean that they are still alive, unfortunately, they all died, my mother included, therefore my interest in cancer therapies just in case! I will surely look into those books (I have a long list of books I want to read) and I am currently watching the DVD online (Donna, I think, gave me the link, many thanks for that! ). I would also advise the book Cancer, a new way of life by Dr. David Servant-Shreiber, a very good book written by a cancer sufferer in a very sensitive way!

Nice to hear you were born not far from here.... We live near Switzerland and Germany because my husband works in Basel. I am Portuguese and he is Welsh but we will be moving to the South West of France in the near future as he will be retiring!

So many people around us are sick of cancer or have just recently died. But a cure of cancer is available since 1920. Dr. Max Gerson, a german physician found a cure. As an alternative holistic physician, he mostly was sent people who were in the last stages of cancer and were sent home to die. At a last resort they tried his cure. And he cured 50 % of those people whose immune systems were already heavily damaged by the "treatments" given to them. His cure can be done at home with the help of a book explaining it and the food which has to be eaten and supplements and a program for detoxification. This is a truly remarkable program not only for curing cancer but also for curing degenerative diseases and increasing overall health. I am personally using the Gerson program in a less demanding form (only 3 to 4 juices a day and one coffee enema) and I am overjoyed that I can eat very well and keep my weight, even slowly losing some. This was a problem for many years.

I have no idea where you are as I have never heard of Hilo but do have any information on this? Even though I do not have cancer, it is hard to not know a relative or a friend who does. However I believe in curing cancer with raw foods and enema. Please research Dr Max Gerner, a Dr whom Einstein called a genius and who cured cancer patients with an almost raw food diet. Juicing and coffee enema. There is a clinic in Mexico where they cure any type of cancer there, that way. I cannot stress more than most of cancer are food related. Cooked foods are hard to digest, no other animals eat the way we do. The enzymes which help digestion are killed in the process of cooking food. Also the body has to recode the food that was altered by the heat. Once again not to mention pesticides, hormones, etc... All this adds up to weaken our imune system, and the body tries to process and heal, but ends getting overwhelmed year after year. Please research raw foods and cancer

I've never read such BS in my life... You speak of foods as if they were medicine and if this were the case then a lot more people would be cured and the local cancer agencies would be promoting this relatively cheap means of combatting cancer. Lets be real, surgery is best, radiation and chemo are next and a health diet will help mitigate the effects of the cancer but will NOT cure it.

The mole rat is the only mammal presently known not to get cancer.. This is due to a gene p16.. This gene stops cells going into the prolific growth mode. In fact its almost impossible to grow mole rat cells in the lab. The funny thing is that garlic also slows down cell growth. It's been proven that regular garlic ingestion protects against bowel and lung cancer.. It also cleans heavy metals from environmental polution from the body this is proven.. But it's only down in folk medicine land that these things will be aired. Simply because you can't patent a vegetable and make money out of it.

I think that chemotherapy and surgery sometimes only make things worse. I say this after having read a few books on the treatment of cancer! I would advise you to read as much as you can. Actually I would advise everybody to do like me and get the information before you or a loved one are ill because afterwards one tends to make decisions very fast and you don't have the time to get informed! Your doctor is not at all the best person to inform you. Maybe this stricks you as odd but they are only allowed to tell you what the system allows them to say. Some good books are:

I would like to know if it would be ok to put the tannic acid powder into empty gelatin capsules and then just swallow those capsules with a glass of water?? Or would this method decrease tannic acid's effectiveness against cancer?

My mother has stage IV triple negative breast cancer and she wants to add the tannic acid to her current protocol but she gets diarrhea fairly easily so she doesn't want to take the sorbitol with the tannic acid if at all possible. Or does the tannic acid have to be mixed with something that has a laxative effect in order for it to be effective?

Just a note to let you know that Dr, Tulio Simoncini, an Italian doctor has a cure for cancer using bicarbonate of soda. No side effects and no pain. Look him up on the web. One lady had cancer in both breasts and is free of it today. It had even gone to her lungs. She is totally healed. Good luck!

A friend asked me to research anything that could help her increase her appetite that has disappeared due to taking Tamoxifen and other meds to hold cancer at bay. She said she is starving to death because she can't eat. I noticed Fenugreek but one feedback note said it increased estrogen so that sounds like a bad idea for my friend. Any suggestions?

If she has lost her appetite please get her to a Medical Marijuana facility. She can either smoke it or eat it in a brownie, because this herb will stimulate her appetite! It does so many good things like lessen pain anywhere, and if your stress level is noticable it will bring it down to the level it should be at.

I can't vouch for the credibility of the information, but I learned a lot about cesium chloride via a site called the cancer tutor. Google it. The site usually comes up on top of the list. I think there is a link for finding a vendor, as well as general information.

It appears that treatment with cesium chloride will need to vary by the weight of the person, as well as type of cancer, the density of the cancer, and so on. Also, it appears that it's very important to do research before buying any product. I do not have any affiliation with information about this or products related to this in any way, however, I would recommend a google search for "tutor cesium chloride".

I have just finished a book I find everybody should read, at least if you have questions about getting screened for cancer! The title is: "Should I be tested for Cancer? Maybe not and here is why" by Dr. H. Gilvert Welch.

For many years I had my doubts about all this cancer screening for healthy people. I know that everybody worries about cancer as you can have it without any symptoms but still the fact that many people spend their lives in the anxiety as to whether this time the test will be positive didn't seem right to me (my mother's side of the family has a lot of cancer so I should be one to worry). When a while ago I heard on the British TV that for every 11 women operated for cancer only one life is saved, the other 10 would probably never even have problems that made me doubt the value of the screening even further so when I saw this book on Amazon I decided to buy it right away and all my worries were not without a reason. Dr. Welch wrote a very interesting and accessible book. He doens't tell you to do it as he doesn't tell you not to do it but he tells you all the facts so that you can make up your mind.

People think that it can't hurt but yes, the screening can hurt and even kill you so you should be aware of all the facts before you commit to it. Testing is a completely different matter as it is done when you have symptoms. The bottom line as far as screening goes is that it generates big money and no one will probably tell you the truth (although a while ago I explained a gynecologist that I didn't believe in screening, even before I read this book and his answer was that he thought that I was right!).

There are so many important and interesting health books that it would be great if people would post reviews here when they read one in order to help others to make a choice. I have quite an extensive list of books I am planning to read (plenty of Christmas and birthday presents....) and if people are interested I am willing to post my comments here. At least everybody knows that I don't know any authors and have nothing to do with the pharmaceutical industry or any other industry. It is only my opinion but at least it is an unbiased one! I have also read quite a few books on eye therapies.
