Years ago I used to have athletes foot, but I noticed that eating popcorn cured my athletes foot. The plain popcorn after its popped and the itching and redness went away!
If you have athletes foot, try it and let me know if it works for you, because I know it did for me and does every time. It may take a day or two (or shorter) but it certainly worked, at least for me anyway.
Also changing socks frequently, and not walking in your socks and then putting your shoes over them because it brings bacteria from the floor/carpet into your shoes. So its good to always make sure you have a clean pair of socks to put on before putting on your shoes and also make sure the inside of your shoes stay clean.
