I ordered a quantity of food grade H202 from Garden of Eden (the 3rd or 4th order from them) and the product received was badly degraded. I know this for 2 reasons: I've been using foodgrade H202 for many years, and the H202 was so badly degraded that a 50% dilution( 17%)touched my skin with no reaction produced. I emailed them and got no response. This was an order for 4 quart bottles.

I had used them before and been pleased, but no more!!

I ended up buying Willard Water which is foodgrade 6% H202 which is much more stable that 35%. It keeps for a really long time without degrading. Google to find the website.

I recently decided to purchase some 35% food grade h2o2 for internal use. I had been trying to work it into my budget for about 10 years, and I finally was in a position to make the investment. I did the online reading research, and found a vendor that sounded very serious about the quality of their product; 35% food grade h202. They had a very large and long webpage describing why they were the best place to buy f. G. H202, and described how most other internet vendors were ripping off their customers by providing inferior h202, most of the time lying about the true strength of the peroxide and cheating the customer. They also stated many other reasons and methods that un-scrupulous vendors could sell you a inferior peroxide; almost never the 35% strength. The Guardian of Eden website stated that you should never buy any peroxide product other than the true 35% strength, and stated several reasons why this was so. The website stated the shipping is $24 per gallon, and must be shipped as hazardous material.

They re-iterate over and over how they are the good honest guys, and most other peroxide sellers are out to cheat you. They are very clever in their sales pitch, and very convincing. I ended up deciding to buy from them, even tho I had read a negative feedback report about them on earth clinic. com by 04/18/2010: Jo Ana from Asheville, Nc about how she got ripped off.

However, Gaurdian of Eden seller replied on earth clinic.com and explained everything away; so I decided to trust them anyway..... Big mistake.

I ordered 1 gallon of what was supposed to be 35% strenth for "special offer - $64. 37 ttl! This price includes all HAZMAT & S&H charges."

When it arrived the 1st thing I noticed was that the shipping box did not show any hazardous manterials label on it..... When I opened the box and read the label on the plastic 1 gallon jug; it also did not have any hazardous material on it. It did not even state the strength of the peroxide on the bottle label. I then read the papers and notices provided by Gaurdian of Eden inside the box; and they also carefully avoided stating the strength of the peroxide.

At this point I was pretty sure I had just been ripped off by them, since the bottle label did not even state the strength of the peroxide. So I then did a comparison test , comparing the taste and mouth feel of their product with a known 3% strength peroxide. They were identical in taste. ( 10 drops in 1 ounce of water) I then knew for sure that Gaurdian of Eden had cheated me out of $64!!! They had sent me 1 gallon of 3% peroxide. Who knos if it is industrial grade, or food grade. I have been ripped off.

I submit this report in hopes that other people will not be scammed by them. $64 is a lot of money for me, and many other people, to throw away to a scam artist. Notice how slick they are in thier earth clinic.com replies when they were caught cheating Jo Ana from Asheville, Nc

I took the gallon of Gaurdian of Eden 3% peroxide and poured it out on the ground. If they will lie about the strength of it, they will also lie about it being food grade. Avoid this vendor like the plague.

If you order hydrogen peroxide online please double check your address. Hydrogen peroxide cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box under federal regulations. H2o2 also cannot not be shipped by any rush delivery method because it is prohibited from being shipped in any manner that even might involve air transportation.

This is particularly a problem with Paypal purchases. To "verify" their account Paypal requires people give their credit/atm card's billing address - that often is a P.O. Box. While a person can click the small link to change the address for shipping, that is easily missed.

Overall, many merchants ship via UPS or FedEx and neither of those can delivery to P.O. Boxes for any order.

Here's the way many avoid this. Change your Paypal address to put your physical delivery address on the second address line IF the zip code is the same. If not, you can change the delivery address by adding it to your Paypal address list and then clicking for each purchase while checking to that address. Or you can provide a physical delivery address in the Paypal comment box. It VERY helpfully if you add your phone number to the check out comment box for any purchase because email communications are not fully reliable.

If you miss all that and make a purchase providing the wrong address, do NOT rely on a single email notifying of a corrected addresses. Emails often go to junk/spam folders or just otherwise don't make it. Instead, PHONE in the address change so a live person can confirm receiving the information. This does not apply only the hydrogen peroxide, but nearly any purchase you make online.

Just thought I would comment on the h2o2 post about GUARDIAN OF EDEN being slow shipping. I just recently ordered a quart of 35%H2O2 and the shipping time was no longer than stated on their order form. I received my order within 8 days of ordering. I thought this to be quite acceptible shipping and will be using GUARDIAN OF EDEN again when needed. Just wanted to add my positive experience. Thanks to all!

I did not take the submission from Guardian of Eden (GOE) has hawking their products. To me it was a good reminder about internet purchases as well as a chance to allow Guardian of Eden to voice a perspective regarding the situation. By GOE taking the time to educate us about dealing with them and other internet businesses, perhaps we can avoid problems with future purchases, especially the Acai berry internet scam. I know how and where to find products when I need to purchase them. It seemed this was not the intent of GOE's submission. Having myself worked for the public for 18 years, many people take the time to complain but very, very few take the time to compliment an organization.

Here here! GoE is wonderful - we'ver recommended them for years on our site as a source for high quality product and we have never had any problem with orders placed. They have been around longer than anyone else we know and they also have some great additional products we absolutely love - Jutrien RX and etc. They deliever all over the US and we are in California and have no problem getting their products delivered here to our home address.

I have been using 35% H2O2 from GofE for several years now and have been very content with their shipping/delivery and the quality of their product. My only concern is the steady trend upward in price over the years - it seems to increase by at least 20% in cost every year. I will continue to use them however until I can find a better source for a better price in Northern California (hence I found this list). So far I've been unsuccessful in this effort. None of the requests for info on large quantities 35% H2O2 for Northern California seen to have a satisfactory alternative to GofE. If anyone has since come up with an alternative - I would LOVE to know of it.

To anyone looking for Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in Orange County, near Los Angeles, there is a small health food store in Garden Grove, CA at the intersection of Chapman Ave and Brookhurst St that sells it. The best place I have found to purchase it locally is call The Living Temple, in Huntington Beach, CA. Its a small health and nutrition store that has it for a very reasonable price, along with a lot of other awesome products. The Living Temple is located off the 4O5 freeway on Goldenwest St and Bolsa Ave.

I had the same problem, where to find 35% h202. I stopped into a farm supply store, and only noticed the 3% H2O2 on the shelves. (this particular store carries medicines, supplies for cattle, horese, sheep etc.) On a whim, because of H2O2 desinfectant qualities, I asked the clerk at the order desk. Apparently it is kept in the back of the store in special containers (caustic). I was only able to purchase it in a specialized 4 liter container. Hope this leads you in the right direction.

I am also trying to find hydrogen peroxide in a SMALL quantity, and do not wish to pay 50% shipping charges. I tried diff. stores in Escondido, but found nothing. Did you ever find it?

I have confirmed for myself as others have in these posts that the family dollar hydrogen peroxide contains no stabilizers. It is produced by Aaron Industries who has never used stabilizers. They sell the 16 oz for less than a dollar. Enjoy!

Thanks! I found the Walgreen's brand that are sold separate have the stablizers, but the ones that they sell that are a package of two, DO NOT have the stabilizers. I purchased mine yesterday.

No Laura. If you read the ingredents. The Wal-Mart brand says it is stablized ( Meaning stablizers are in it ). Family Dollar is stablizer free, I have been using Family Dollar brand for cleaning produce. You can always dilute 35% food grade down to 3% if you can't find a Family Dollar. Google Aaron indutries and see where their brands are sold.

To Laura from Birch Run, Mi. You need to just read the ingredients. At one Walmart the peroxide had stabilizers in it. So I checked at a different Walmart and it had peroxide with no stabilizers included.

Is the 3% hydrogen peroxide, stabilizer-free, found at Walmart or Family Dollar, okay for internal use? Or, is it for external use only, such as washing produce? Is the stabilizer-free Aaron Industry 3% hydrogen peroxide for external use only? I'm sorry I still am not sure, and thank you.

Hello Everybody! I was reading on the site and I found an old post of 2008 mentioning that Aaron industy had a hydrogen peroxide 3% without stabilizers sold at Walmart. I don't know about then, but now they told me by phone that their bulk source put a stabilizer and the source refuses to list it under the trade secret act. So here you are; even when it's not listed it is there!!! Maybe we should update the old post to not be misleading. Peace to all, take good care of yourself and those around you!

Tribest.com 888) 254-7336 sells food grade peroxide, but you have to call the company and order on the phone. They only sell it via the phone. It is 8%. To get 3%, mix one part peroxide to 2 parts water.

To the person in Las Angeles looking for 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide, I recommend Clark's Nutritional Store in Loma Linda, this is where I purchase my last supply of it. I hope you do know that you need to dilute this stuff with distilled water, in sterile plastic or glass containers,preferably down to a 1% concentration for internal use.

I ordered Guardian of Eden supplies (H202, sea salt, hot tub sanitizer) on Saturday and received them Wednesday. Very prompt service and a pleasure to deal with! I will not hesitate to use this company again.

Buying 35% H2O2 in the US

I purchased years ago from the Garden of Eden folks and was happy with the products. Twice, however, within the last year and a half, I purchased a quantity of H2O2 and it arrived badly degraded. Diluting it down to 3% in the recommended way produced a product with no H2O2 taste. I emailed them to ask them to send fresher H2O2 and never heard from them. Months later, I figured I'd give them another try and ordered a smaller quantity and it was also badly degraded when I received it. I emailed again and never received a response from them.

I recently ordered a 6% food grade H2O2 solution which can be stored almost indefinitely without degradation from Dancing Algae. The H2O2 I received was a strong, active H2O2.

I wonder how many people who have ordered from DFWX are receiving and using degraded H2O2. Active "young" H2O2 has a very strong bleachy taste even when diluted to 3% and added to water. If yours doesn't taste yukky, then it may be old H202.

RE AARON BRANDS / AARON INDUSTRIES HYDROGEN PEROXIDE: CONFIRMED - IT'S USP BUT NOT FOOD GRADE

I've read through all the posts on H202 and have been searching for a good source of it locally. This brand (Aaron) has been mentioned several times with conflicting info on whether it is safe or not. So, I wrote to the company today to ask and this is their reply:

Aaron Industries, Inc. Manufactures 3% Hydrogen Peroxide by diluting a concentrated solution of Hydrogen Peroxide with purified water. Aaron Industries does not add stabilizers to the Hydrogen Peroxide solution. However, the supplier of our concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide solution has stated that their product contains stabilizers. In the 3% Solution, the amount of stabilizers in the product is less than 30 parts per million. The amount of stabilizers in the 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution is very, very low.

Our Hydrogen Peroxide is not Food Grade, it is USP grade.

Well, it does, sort of. Now I'm left wondering exactly what those stabilizers are and whether at 30ppm, they're safe to ingest. Probably not but I'm interested in other people's thoughts on the matter.

Guess it's good enough to wash veggies with and to use as a mouth rinse though.
