Haven't seen any new posts on EC about Tinnitus, but it's too bad because I am still searching for an answer/fix after 4 going on 5 years of this insidious condition. A silent place, like being home alone, is my worst enemy. I have tried so many things I've seen on EC, but never found anything that touched mine. When I am out and about, especially driving, I don't notice my "T" (I'll call it). At home, I have my app on my phone running (Chrome Doze or Whist tinnitus if mine gets high-pitched). All night I have to have it til I fall asleep, but the Chrome Doze doesn't use hardly any battery so I just let it run. I live in a strange place that has this little app running pretty much, 24/7, especially since I retired, and don't go much, plus, the covid stay-at-home. Well, the best reply imo, that I read here was from 2012 about the Essiac tea. I may try it but haven't a clue which to buy on Amazon. I have a drawer full of supplements that didn't work for me. I do NOT believe mine has much to do with my ears. Other than they hear this sound coming from my brain ;( I get sad when I read these forums about tinnitus and rarely do read them. It's better for me to accept it, that I'll never enjoy the sound of silence again. I hear even people that lose their hearing still have the ringing. I don't even bring it up anymore to my doctors because they have no answers for me. I live a healthy, active lifestyle (exercise, lots of whole foods, lots of water). I find huge relief from allergies doing saltwater irrigation, and ACV every day, twice a day in worst times of the year. I have found wonderful relief from other ailments here so I think there is a lot to Ted's fixes, as well as the many, wonderful, people that share their stories. I wish they'd come back because I am lonely for the company of people that suffer with some of the same things I do. There is not regular gathering of people with health issues. This has the best database, only wish it was more like a regular forum. But at least the info is here to read.

Thanks many thanks, to everyone who is still around, as well as those that have moved on. Denise

I wonder if Chiropractic would help. I had the worst vertigo that my magnificent Cranial Specialist fixed in one session. He's in Los Gatos, CA. His name is Dr. Bloink.

Thanks so much for your reply. I've haven't gone to a chiro yet, but did years ago for a shoulder injury. He was wonderful, fixed it in 4 or 5 visits if I remember right. Not many, that's for sure. Back when I lived near Lynden WA. I am limited with my insurance which is called Medi Cal, California's name for medicaid. I don't think my NP can refer me to a chiro, but it may be worth seeing about physical therapy. I was told by an alternative medicine type friend that he thought it had to do with my cervical dystonia. I've had that a lot longer than I've had the tinnitus, and I have a pretty good exercise routine that help with that neck kind of pain. I don't know, as you probably know it gets discouraging when you seem to have too many things going wrong at the same time, lol ;) But I need to be grateful at how learning from EC has helped me in so many ways:) Thanks again ;)

I had it for years. Turns out it was low iron. Anemia.

Thanks much Andrea, worth finding out about that although I think that shows up in regular blood-work? I'm not sure though, but last time it showed I needed D3, and I had a little bit high cholestrol, then hypo thyroid. I hated the feeling/side effects of the meds she gave me for the hypo thyroid, so I trashed them after getting on EC and when I went back and had them do the bloodwork again, all was fine, good numbers ;) I'll look at my online records to see if iron was on there. If it was, it was normal, but I'll check ;)

My iron levels are normal, so I guess that isn't my issue. Still taking my boron for arthritis, and it seems to be helping my Tinnitus, not a huge diff. but don't need my white noise at bedtime last 2 nights. More will be revealed!! ;)

Denise, I had it for many yrs in my 30's. I was full of inflammation tho. I had chronic ear and sinus infection for some time. My ent kept prescribing antibiotics and decongestants. However I was told sometimes the decongestants turn the fluid into sludge. After detoxing it slowly went away. I got off all dairy and reduced wheat in my diet also stopped eating meat as much as possible. Also began eating organic as much as I could. Removed chemicals from my environment. Went to green cleaning supplies etc. I did take a course of Zpac and a strong steroid to knock out the infection initially. But I took probiotics after. Best of luck to you I hope you find an answer.

This one really caught my eye Heather, because, I had the worst sinus infection of my life in and around 2010. I've never connected it with my tinnitus but I am wondering. I was put on antibiotics for 3 months, and, I could not live without a Benadryl (by way of Tylenol PM) every night. When my equilibrium went so bad that when I was driving nothing seemed real to me, the trees, everything around me and scared me bad. I made it to my sisters house hoping she would sort of watch over me (boy was that stupid but it did pay off). She and her live-in man-friend took off for the casinos and I ended up alone anyway. So I'm laying on the couch with the tv on, wanting to die because my head felt like cement. I got enough willingness to get over to her computer, and googled "natural remedies for sinus infection" and ACV came up. I first thought "oh yuck" then I said heck with it I'm going to try it. I did a tablespoon in water and gagged it down. Then I got back over to the couch. It was the most amazing thing. I felt it actually working in my sinuses, and everything started coming loose. I think it was only 2 or 3 days and I was literally healed. I haven't had a sinus infection since, and I got into natural remedies. But, I still used the tylenol pm to help me sleep most nights. The more I read about natural stuff, the more I wanted to go "clean" so I dropped the pm's never took them again. But looking back, my tinnitus started in about 2011. I remember because I had gone to take a few classes at the local community college. I would get a swishing noise in my ears when I'd get up in the night to use the bathroom. So this went on til around 2014-15, and when I moved into this apt. it was shortly after my T turned into this awful ringing and it is steady, 24/7. I think I need a complete detox/cleanse, should have done it before this. Even looked up ways of doing it but chickened out each time. I have borax, edta, something called molybdenum, and that last one I'm not sure why I ordered it. I've never used not one of these things. I do eat pretty good but still some red meat once or twice a week, no dairy except the rare bit of cheese and/or skim milk. I don't buy it, so I don't eat it 99% of the time. Feedback from anyone welcome but a cleanse/detox I believe is a start in finding out. I don't take any supplements except 200% mg of Mag. Citrate, and I use a lot of natural remedies for allergies like my ACV, lemon, ginger. I also do saltwater irrigation almost daily. I am so grateful for what I've learned from EC so far. The only thing I pray for an answer for is the tinnitus. Seems everything else, including arthritis is wayyyyy better!

Hi Denise, I developed tinnitus and didn't know what it was for a long time until I came on here. Nothing worked for me either. Like yourself, different things kept cropping up so I thought of a cleanse and eventually found the diatomaceous earth thread. I started slow building up but found that a tablespoon was too much. If I have a quarter teaspoon in a small bit of water each morning, followed by a good glass of water afterwards before breakfast of the FOOD GRADE, keeps me 'regular' and eventually cleared the tinnitus. Extra water is the key when taking DE. What works for one does not always work for another, I have found that I just have to keep trying different things. It may be worth a visit to the DE thread and a good read will help, just never start on more than quarter teaspoon first and find what suits you. I now leave it off after a couple of months for a month and start again. Good luck whatever you try.

Hi Rose, I don't see a "reply to Rose" so I hope you see this. I just saw your post/reply today to me! Thanks so much for that. I'm doing the Boron for arthritis and it seems to be having some effect on that, but also, on the tinnitus. Not really sure. Too early in the game to know, but I want to keep folks up to date. I was kind of surprised to see anyone using DE because that's what we used to kill bugs with, like cockroaches. I was told it is like tiny razors and killed the bugs that way. I can't imagine swallowing it, but I must not have the right info on what it is if you are doing fine with it. I just wanted to make sure I tried to thank you for your help Rose. I don't understand this website as far as being able to really communicate with people, but I am grateful for the info I read. I will let people know of my progress. I'm on every day looking up something ;)

Hello Denise, I truly feel for you with your tinnitus. Guess I am lucky I have only suffered for 6 months. Has a doctor urged you to get a contrast-based MRI? Mine has although he does not think I have an acoustic neuroma (tumor on auditory nerve) Has anyone ever suggested this to you?

Denise

I don't think anyone is lucky that has tinnitus, but I hope yours is not permanent like mine seems to be. I've taken some steps lately, just started the Boron (Ted's remedy for bones, arthritis, osteo) and I am hoping that helps not only with my arthritis, but maybe even my tinnitus. I find it interesting my first day using 1/8 tsp in my drinking water (1 liter) yesterday, last night I went to bed and started reading, and literally forgot about my tinnitus. Then when I realized I had read like 2 chapters of my book, with no white noise, I realized it was so low it didn't bother me. Maybe a coincidence but I can only think of one other night I slept without white noise in the last 4.5 years! We'll see I guess. Still have not turned on any noise since I got up either. I am sorry I got no notification about your post/reply, until today when I went through a bunch of the "latest Posts". I'm also doing h202 inhalation, just once in awhile, like 2 times a week, ACV/lemon/ginger every a.m. for allergies and helps a lot of other things, although not tinnitus. Then I also do sinus irrigation every day for now since the pollen is horrendous here. Anyway, maybe one day "soon I hope" we can communicate on a regular basis. Thanks so much for you reply, oh, and no on the MRI. I live in a sort of desolate area of California, near the Forgotten Coast (and I know why it's called that). Huge lack of good medical care here. I had to drive 350 or more miles to get to dental school in San Francisco, just to have a tooth examined :( Then 350 back home, in one day :( arggg!! LOL!!

Something I didn't mention in my earlier post was that I am pretty certain that mine has nothing to do with my ears. Only the fact I can hear the ringing. I think it's all in my head, lol ;) Well, what I mean is, the bones, in particular. I have bone-spurs in my neck, supposedly caused from Cervical Dystonia, and I have strange head-pain in that area of my lower skull right behind my ear?? Anyway, I should donate my bod to science so they can really take a look at what caused all this ;) When I look in the mirror, which I try hard not to do, lol, I can see my head is not on straight, lol! No really, it's like a teeny bit off-center like my neck is crooked. Who knows, I'm just glad I can find alternatives to drugs on this site ;)

Denise, For your ear ringing, eat white potatoes every day. For bone spurs, apple cider vinegar will dissolve them (sorry do not know dosage but google it). If you by chance have spinal stenosis, it also can be dissolved easily in 6 months, go read “Older Spines Feel Young Again” by Dr. Debra Katchen (misspelled I am sure).

Hi Allyson, Thanks so much for your feedback/suggestions. I do acv, so I hope that is already helping the spurs, and all the other things it's so wonderful for ;) I mainly eat red potatos but I can do white, which I had a huge bag of and just finished it off! I'll keep that up, and, find the book you recommended! Thank you again, and have a great day! Was so happy to hear from someone ;)

Hi Denise. I understand healthcare problems as here near Atlanta there're lots of providers but few "doctors." Although one dr I saw in January did say the brain tells the ear that it is hearing something when there really is no noise. Hhmn. Could our brains be sending us a message we don't want to hear? Mine is not ringing, but ticking or clicking. Doctor no 2 said he thought I has stapedius muscle spasms. In the medical literature this is called "myoclonus" and is "treated" with botox or surgery. Neither sounds good to me. The MRI that they do is to tell them whether there is a tumor on the acoustic nerve. A contrast medium is injected into your vein and it is gadolinium. Gadolinium is an iron-oxide compound, some of which stays in your brain/body and is not chelated out. There are lawsuits over the side effects so there must be some big effects because lawyers don't take small damage tort lawsuits, only the high dollar cases. Plus the cost is high even with insurance so I have not had an mri. If you can ignore yours with the white noise app, does that tell you anything? Are there unresolved issues? Years earlier (2016-17) when I was taking care of my dying parents, this clicking appeared then. I was very stressed, working at their house 10 hours and doing my job online. When I got rested, it went away, took maybe 2-3 weeks. For the past 20 years, I have worked roughly 10-12 hour days and have developed another autoimmune problem. No sinus issues. Do you have other AI problems? A few days ago I put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ear. Seemed to help. Maybe I will start drinking ACV. Maybe I will just start drinking 😉

How is eating white potatoe help with the hissing /ringing in ear? Would be nice to get info. I am start to go down the path of some folks saying it the whole new 5g and all the EMF going worldwide smart grid. I gone to 4 ENTs …all tests was fine. Good hearing/no issues with ear…no allergies. So is this hissing …where certain times it would go up/down…as if the frequencies fm the smart grid is doing something. Not familiar with this but I am seeing how some folks talk about how EMF can effect our ears…if so, we are the canaries that can hear these frequencies and if that is my case, it's NOT GOOD. Drives me nuts as its now 24/7 as when it started 3 yrs ago…it was right after they put in smart meter and 4 new 5G towers down the road!!! I didn't realize all this til after seeing all the doctors/seeing chiropractors thinking maybe its my neck/shoulder causing this hissing…but a whole year of that and nothing. Hissing still there….I just want to know if it is the EMF or its more of health issues. I will try the ACV for a week in the ear and Hydrogen Peroxide for a week and see if that helps…..if not, I have to mark it up to the new smart meter/5G that came around the same time my ear issues started. I dont listen to loud music or work around noise. I prefer not to be around loud noise so that is not my case. Went to neurologist and he had MRI done on my head and no tumors….so what else can I suggest my doctors to test or look into if its not the EMF/5G then?

Hi Denise, I found myself on this site while looking for info for my cat who has just been diagnosed with stomatitis. They say it's best to have all his teeth removed! So I'm in the process of figuring that out. He's young! I'll get it all figured out in the next couple weeks I guess. Anyway I saw the word tinnitus and decided to take a break from stomatitus lol. I too have given up on my tinnitus being resolved and that the closest thing to silence will be the absence of traffic or tv or whatever main noise is going on. I think true silence...honestly...may now just be too quiet for me after all these years of ringing. My closest moment to the feeling of silence and what peace that brings, is just being out in nature and hearing water, a river or ocean. Wind. Focusing on that instead of my ringing. That is my silence. I guess I long to enjoy those sounds without ringing override them. I find I usually can and am very appreciative for that. And I wonder, what is true silence? Isn't there always some noise from anything or everything from the day I was born? Most likely! Maybe I long for something I never actually had! I have 3-4 high pitched constant ringing tones, they all blend together but yet are separate, hard to explain but I'm betting you and many others understand! I first noticed a couple tones back in1982, I was 22. It's never went away. It's super loud. One of the tones pulsates. Constantly. Adds a nice little diversion from the others! I can even hear them during takeoff on an airplane. So trust me I well sympathize and understand. One thing that helps me is that I pretty much always have some random song stuck in my head and it helps direct me away from the noise. I don't pick a song they pick me from whatever I've just heard in passing, commercials, phone ringtones even. Those are annoying lol. At least it's just one song at a time but whatever song it is sometimes stays for a few days. That can be bothersome if I don't care for the song so at that point I'll simply think of another one. Whatever works right?! I don't know when I started with that it just sorta happened, maybe to keep me sane lol!! I wonder if others do that. I'll admit there are times I just want to bang my head against something in frustration and sadness at having this and just wishing with all my heart that this wouldn't last forever. Probably twice a year i'll give in and bounce my head against the couch a few times. Then I feel silly and I'm done. Just makes me feel better for a moment so I indulge haha. Next I count my blessings beginning with how there are much worse things in life and I'm alive and well. I mentally move on because it just doesn't help to think about it more then that. It's not easy to accept tinnitus, but I know that what helps the most is to just not think about it. Mostly I keep my thoughts on other things and accept the "music" of my brain. It's hard. But what can we do right?! I do have a fan going when I sleep, and my fish tank has a nice low hum that helps in the living room. I haven't tried many other things really, as when I occasionally look for information to see if there is anything new, I find I get my hopes up and then read forums where so many found out that whatever it was I was looking up, didn't work. So I just thought best to learn from that and save some money. How do you take the acv? That stuff sounds terrible lol, I use it for different things at times but the smell just knocks me out and I can't imagine ingesting it. What does it help you with? Anyway wanted to let you know your not alone, I read your message and truly understand. I hope your doing well otherwise and are staying healthy with all that is going on right now. And stay strong!! My prayers will be with you, Denise!

Hi Sue, So glad I found your post today, I'm not getting notifications for some reason. Your letter was so heartfelt and I wanted to reply something, it may not be very long as I need to finally eat some breakfast this a.m. and hey, it's already noon here! I wrote something back to MoneyDoc above so you can see some of what I am doing. But to answer your questions, I take ACV (w/The Mother, like Braggs) any you want can help, but I like the Mother ones, organic, non-filtered etc. I just use 1 tbsp and my water. Lately I've added a tbsp of organic lemon juice (but I like to buy lemons too at times) and 1/4 heaping tsp of ginger powder from bulk at health-food store. Very inexpensive and feel it is the best I can get here, unless I buy ginger root in produce section ;) This is all for allergies by the way, and I no longer take anything except this concoction, and also, I do a sinus irrigation every day when pollen is thick. I so hope you find something for your Kitty, I know I wish I'd had EC when I had my little dog fro 15 years. She died in 2006 and if I'd seen all the things that could have kept her from pain, my heart hurts a lot :( Hope to see you again sometime Sue, my niece lives in Lynden WA, hugs, Denise

Hi Sue, I am so sorry to hear how long you have suffered. Do you have any other Autoimmune disease? Do you know what your vitamin d level is? I have tinnitus also, they say, but second doc said mine was from a stapedius muscle spasm. That's the muscle that holds the stapes inside the ear. My ear clicks, doesn't ring. Hydrogen peroxide dropped into the ear seemed to help as does silence: no tv, no crackling of plastic bags or papers, no tv. I have another AI disease and this and the tinnitus have left me without friends and depressed. Doctors are little help. The second one gave me flexaril and valium for this tinnitus but neither did any more than melatonin. I know Vitamin D levels should be over 50 so if you don't know yours, I'd get checked. I am going to do some more research in the medical journals (I have free subscriptions) and then will post more. Best wishes.

Hi Sue,

Before taking all your cat´s teeth out please be aware that when my cat had lost all his teeth (the vet always took out a few everytime he had a toothcleanse)he still had terrible gum inflammation and obvious pain just as it was when he had all his teeth. I find what really helped was colloidal silver, I use Argentyn 23 but I believe that silver between 10ppm and 23 ppm is fine if it is clear not coloured. I just used a needleless syringe with about 10 ml and put it in his mouth. he would just let it fall out of his mouth but it is fine if swallowed. Also there are herbal products for pets. I like Fellimm by the 4 Canadian vets at NHV and I find that it keeps the swelling and pain down.

I can see where it might be all the waves effecting your ears.

For EMF's and 5G and other waves it might be good to rid your house of wifi, all things wireless including wireless computer mouse, bluetooth, sound bars for TV, TV ect. Use microwave very little if any. Keep your phone on data and do not sleep with it in the room with you. I only turn mine on about 3 times a day to check/answer texts.

I bought a meter that reads 4 different things and our house was so toxic it pegged out the meter and said to leave immediately. Just Wow.

Our house now reads about .05. When we had all tech things ON in our house read upwards of 200 MW/m2 (sq).

I use a spray of 100% DMSO into the ear followed by a 1% cortisone cream swab. I take magnesium, B vitamins, Bioflavonoids, curcumin and a combination vitamin from "tru nature vitamins" which has gingko biloba and vinpocetine. The most important addtion is also pregenolone a steroid precursor that not only is the material form which other hormones are made but is well known to help heal the brain and has been tested in the past to improve brain function and reduce inflammation. 50-150 mgs per day available over the counter in the USA. My tinnitus was caused by a serious flu virus complicated by a swim and a sauna which allowed the flu to invade the ear ducts. The tinnitus that resulted was severe. Now five weeks later one ear is silent and the other is 75% improved. I hope this helps someone.

Tinnitus: I have had ringing in my ears seems most of my adult life but lately I really notice it. I take mag citrate about 200mg (1/4) tsp in the a.m. and another in the evening the whole dose says a 1/2 tsp is 630 mg. So I split it. My ears still ring. I take sodium ascorbate every other day, black strap molasses every day, squeezed lemon w 1/4 tsp bsoda every morning, Borax 3 days out of the week. I don't take the h202 very often because I take the lemon juice every morning. Can I take the h202 with lemon juice? I read you shouldn't take h202 with acv. I was taking the sea salt in my water everyday.

Lately I noticed when I do take it I get these spells like I'm going to faint. I get really whoozy like I need to take a deep breath and I have to put my head down. That's really scary especially driving. Could the sea salt be too much for me as far as sodium? Just this week I started the fish oil. I feel energized all but the ringing in my ears.

I take milk of magnesia once a week to really clean me out and it does. I tested my urine ph and it was 7-7. 5. So my biggest concern is the dizzy spells, drinking the sea salt in which I have probably done for 2 years but the last month or so is when the dizzy spells started.

The ringing in my ears is driving me crazy. One time it stopped and it literally stopped me in my tracks I had to turn around to make sure I was still upright. It was something I havn't heard in a long long time. I take granulated lecithin in the morning and the evening dose I add 1/4 tsp of baking soda, I usually sleep like a rock. I noticed if I don't take it I toss and turn. I appreciate any imput from Bill or Ted. I have had earth clinic in my life now for over 2 years it's my go to site every morning, I have helped a lot of people at work bless you all for such a wonderful and helpful site amazing what one can do with natural remedies you might just have in your pantry:}

Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this, but just wanted to contribute my experience with treating tinnitus. Whenever my immune system needs a boost I have a series of remedies and supplements that I increase. In between times I relax the number of times I take these, but usually stick with ACV and honey as a drink, lemon and sodium bicarbonate just before cleaning my teeth and more recently, diatomaceous earth every day.

I would say my tinnitus is connected to a root canal filling I had years ago before I understood about the effect of these. Since then if my tinnitus starts up I've made the connection with 'disturbances' around that tooth. So I take oxygen, as a liquid supplement, and hold that in water, in my mouth for several seconds, a few times a day. I also take turmeric tincture a few times a day until it settles down again. It seems to help. Added to all of this I take Fo Ti tincture, which really helps my hair! But I think it is very good as an anti-inflammatory.

I hope that helps!

I inadvertently discovered this website earlier today, and as I was looking through the index of ailments, I saw the link to tinnitus and decided to post my experience because I know how scary and depressing this condition can be.Three years ago, in January 2010, I had a very bad cold (headache, coughing, sore throat, body aches), and developed tinnitus. My ears were 90% deaf, but I had RINGING THUNDER inside my head that never quit. Long after my cold symptoms were gone, the symptoms persisted.I spent many hours researching on line and tried quite a few possible remedies - warm oil treatments, hydrogen peroxide, ear candling, holding my nose and gently blowing (like when you scuba dive or fly in an airplane), and other holistic possibilities. But there was absolutely no improvement and I was concerned that I might be stuck with this condition for the rest of my life. Over a period of time, I got about 50-60% of my hearing back, but still had the non-stop RINGING THUNDER. Then one day in early June (easily six months after the onset of my condition), I was in the pool and something incredible happened. I don't normally go under water because if I have somewhere to go, it would take a long time to dry and fix my hair. But this particular day I had no plans and I needed to wash my hair anyway. So I lay back and let myself drift until I started slipping under the water. I went down about a foot or so, and to my complete surprise, I could feel activity in my ears as they slowly and gently begin to clear. I lay there under the surface for as long as I could, and when I came up, there was a definite and significant change in my condition. I repeated this submarine technique several times over the next few days and eventually my ears were totally back to normal after SIX MONTHS of suffering. Three weeks into my “healing” (July 2010), and there were no return of symptoms.I suppose all of this sounds a little wacky and there may be medical reasons why this doesn't make any sense. Even though I had all of the symptoms, maybe I didn't really have tinnitus at all. Maybe it was something else. Well, call it what you will, my ears weren't working properly.

So I'm posting this because maybe there are others with these same symptoms who also don't REALLY have tinnitus either. Or maybe they do, and I've discovered something worth trying.

Olive Oil

Posted by Leonardj (USA) on 09/03/2012

Hi, I think a great place to start for many people that have tinnitus is simply using drops of olive oil to remove excess ear wax from the ears. I belive most people who have tinnitus have the category known as Subjective Tinnitus, which is where only you yourself can hear the sounds. One of the main causes of Subjective Tinnitus can be a build up of Ear Wax. Hope this helps. Leonard

Pulsatile Tinnitus

Posted by Ben Goh (Miri, Malaysia) on 09/13/2012

For about 1 year, I hear my heart beat in my left ear. I think they call it pulsatile tinnitus. It was so annoying that at one time I was even hospitalised because of very high blood pressure 235/110.

I'm extremely panicky, sense heart beat on my chest, very fatigue even just talking a few words, constantly evaluating/thinking/worrying in my mind, weak hands and legs, high-pitched tinnitus in my left ear, fear of loud sounds, almost paranoid-like.

What is it?
How do I cure it?
Is it electrolyte imbalance?
Is it skeletal out of balance?
Is it lack of exercise?

Help, save me!!

Hello Ben Goh - I can report that I first noticed pulsatile tinnitus around the same time I discovered I had Graves' Disease (hyperthyroidism).... Has your thyroid function been tested? I experienced heart flutters, overall jittery feeling (I thought I consumed too much caffeine), also a loud whooshing in my ears. Not sure if there IS a cure for tinnitus, I'm sorry to say. Note: hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism can exhibit some of the same symptoms. Best Wishes in gaining some relief~

Hello Ben Goh, By TCM, it sounds like you have symptoms of blood and qi (force) deficiencies. Either you are losing blood somewhere or your body does not get enough nourishment for blood.

Check your tongue in the mirror for futher confirmation. Do you see signs of blood deficiency? Any cracks in the middle?

I think you may need a blood transfusion or should eat food that nourishes your blood and qi.

Ted from bangkok, do you second my diagnosis?

Tinnitus is annoying and one can seldom find why it happens or why it quit.

Of more concern is the anxiety and panic. I have no idea what is causing any of your symptoms and am not any kind of expert. I had a friend who was sure he was losing his mind as over a few weeks he was getting more frightened and worried and exhausted. He took 1000 mcg of vitamin B12 - the kind you put under your tongue because that's the only way the body can absorb it - and felt a dramatic difference within an hour! His anxiety left immediately, it took a few weeks to get all of his energy back. (As a side note, he is 70, has hearing loss in one ear and has had intermittant tinnitus for a very long time.)

This may not be what you need, but it's cheap, easy and won't hurt you.

Good luck!

Ben, if it is still a problem take homeopathic Pulsatilla C30. One dose helped me with hearing my heartbeat though it heard it only when I was in bed. You might need to take it more times. Good luck!

This is late, but get checked for SSCD (Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence) if your symptom hasn't been improved. It sounds like the symptoms I had/have.

I had an intuition and I wanted to help you I wanted to give you the answer why your hearing is occluded. If you think of your ear as an antenna and that it also has a speaker which is direct wired to your brain. You would probably agree that if it is to receive properly it must be tuned and adjusted. Your ear is receiving the signal because these is a misalignment in your neck and the cartilage of your earlobe.

I know this sounds odd but you can rid yourself of it with a few simple things. In reality they are a series of stretches and contractions. If you perform each one for 5 minutes or so a day it will go away quickly. After each crack do it a few more movements with tension on to realign the facet joint. In fact repeat that after each crack just cause you found it does mean you aligned it.

1. Remember when you stood at attention in the army? They made you tuck your chin in.. Do this as tight as you can until you hear a crack in the ear or the jaw with the ringing.

2. Do shoulder shrugs until you hear your mid neck crack.

3. Firmly grasp the earlobe at the front and gently pull until you hear the crack..... Gently continue.

4. There are 5 prive points around the earlobe which are available for adjustment and alignment.

5. Turn your chin to the side and try to touch your chin stretch unit you hear the crack

6. Do both sides for the sake of spinal alignment for the flow of kundalini. After all the sound is misaligned energy reverberating in your ear drum! Lean your neck back a much as you can tolerate. The pull of the chin by smiling until you hear the crack.....

7. You can manipulate the shoulders to address your headaches mostly the right one.

8. Lye on your back... Lift your stiff legs up together like you are trying to touch your forehead but again you arrive at the range of motion limit which you will know by the crack the stretch a bit more.

9. Squeeze 3 to 5 drops of juice from a white onion into the ear cannel let it rest 10 to 15 minutes in the canal.

10. Take a soft piece of cotton and with a cork screw motion work it into the ear cannel. After you have drained the canal. As you twist it out there will be a small amount of black particles.... Your sign that you have clear the film of sludge.... Repeat in your spare time and it will dissipate in a short period of time. If you want to be lazy you need to find an osteopath he stretches the muscle which aligns the joint (maybe therapeutic massage with gentle head manipulation........ Not a chiropracter he forces the joint... I was also told that I should say if we tune the antenna we tune the brain... , having a direct path to the brain lets us cleanly process the signal we resonate in harmony and frequency with.

I have leukemia and is in remission. I had to have two bone marrow transplants. I've always had tinnitus my frequency is around 9.2 kHz. I downloaded a frequency generator with a sweep mode and that's how I determined my frequency. After that I had baby hearing test done and they say it was about 9.5 kHz. One morning about 3.5 years ago, I woke up and had lost 50% of my hearing in my right ear. Ear specialist said it probably was from Wi-Fi. I had steroid shots in my right ear 5 weeks in a row but it did not help at all. Now restaurants bars anywhere there's a lot of noise it seems that I hear everything but can't understand the conversation at my table. And sometimes the noise is overwhelming. Except with music. And I seem to hear more of the music then anyone around me does. Maybe my right ear is filtering out the frequencies that may be masking certain notes that I hear? Kind of like what a graphic equalizer does. Even in a quiet setting, I have trouble following conversations, I hear a person fine as far as volume goes, but I keep having to ask them to repeat themselves. And I can hear the dog down the road barking during the conversation. It's all very frustrating and annoying at times. I could really use some help with this issue. I do have Wi-Fi still but I've moved it to the farthest place in my home and the Wi-Fi level is in the safe mode according to the microwave app that I downloaded and tested with. And I turn my router completely off AKA unplug it at night.

Thanks for your post Phillip, I am so glad you are in remission. The Tinnitus thing has changed my life, in some negative ways as well. It's hard to be around people if it's a quiet gathering, as I can't play my sound-app, it would drive them crazy. I stay home a lot, and live alone so I am most comfy there. I would be afraid to go out dancing like I used to, for fear of further damage/worse Tinnitus. I was wondering if you would tell me what app you found that measured your frequency? I do have insurance but the one audiologist in my town is closed for now due to covid 19. Or maybe, he just was closed that day. But if there is something I could download I'd be so interested to know how loud mine actually is. Sometimes it gets so loud, it sort of spikes for a few seconds and I pray for it to come back down. So far, it always does, then my normal ringing sounds pretty good. Maybe I'll turn off my wifi at night, who knows, worth a try ;)

Ringing in my ears: I have been having ringing in the eras for the last 3wks and can't sleep and I always think there is a mosquito on my ears. I went to see a doctor at a clinic and she said I should take tylenol for sinus and colds. I have taken it and nothing has happened, still ringing. I had vertigo last year which was treated, and there and I had some feeling of balance loss before the ringing started. My ears are clear. There is no infection or accumulation of fluid so the doctor checked and concluded. Anyone gone through this? Any idea which approach i should take?

There are so many causes of this ringing. Mine was ten years and coconut oil on a Q tip in the ear at bedtime helped it. It returns on occassion but goes away again. A friend is having it with hearing loss and I felt his is caused by hair loss in the inner ear. Castor oil in the ear a few times a day on a Q tip would possibly make the hair regrow. Allergies or a virus can cause ringing. The body produces histamine when the water or mineral ratio if off balance. Lysine fights viruses. Neck issues can affect ears and balance. I like to watch John Bergman on youtube for spinal information. A sinus issue can cause it. A dental issue is connected to the sinus cavities. Low magnesium causes jaw tension that affects ears. Hope this gives you some detective work to do so you can get free. Mine started when I quit smoking and it lasted a very long time. Doctors would guess and go and it led me nowhere fast.

Hi Charity, you are right on about the Tinnitus and it's many causes. I so hope catching it early, just 3 weeks, that Emily can get relief quickly and that her's is not anything permanent. I've had mine since 2012. And at that time, was also having a lot of the symptoms starting that are listed in this article: https://draxe.com/silent-reflux/ I have heard of a couple of folks here having a wax build up as well, causing a sound in their ears/head. I read about someone using a dropper with Hydrogen Peroxide to losin and eventually draw that out of their ear. One of those persons said here doctor told her he couldn't get rid of it for her. I sure question that one?? But honestly, we don't have good medical care here in the Far Northern boonies of California:( Some is good and caring, but just not well-informed on some ailments. So thank God for Earth Clinic. It is absolutely my "go to" for information straight from folks who think more like I do about trying Alternative methods for healing. Thank you for the John Bergman reference as I want to see that video. I have a lot of pain in my neck and back from what was diagnosed as Spasmodic Torticolus in 1988. I feel so many of my issues are absolutely related to eachother;) Learning more every day:) PS I feel very blessed not to be getting any viruses or infections. I attribute that to many of the foods/nutrition I've discovered on EC as well.

For immediate help Emily, I would get some white noise to run at night so you can sleep. There are tons of things to try on this site, read through and see if you want to try something. I have not found a fix for my tinnitus yet, but I use Chrome Doze app on my phone. There are a lot of things you can use to distract from the ringing for now. Then try some of the folks methods they used to heal. Like the lady that answered you just before me said, there are so many reasons for tinnitus, and I see many people getting help, but many different ways. I so wish you the best, it is a maddening condition ;(

So here is a crazy idea. I don't know if it will really work and it would be nice if more people try this. But for my rinnging ear, I have put the spiraly sea shell on the ear, and it seems like it helped. They say sound therapy works well, so I thought of the shell. And also shell has the same spiral like your ear. Maybe it has something to do with it too. Don't know. I wonder how others respond to it

Hello Indiria,

What an interesting idea... Using the sound of the large sea shell to give "auditory feedback" to address tinnitus. Well, I tried it. Maybe for two minutes each side. I have slight ringing... I think from being around loud machinery when young. Could not tell any difference but will do it again later and for longer time. Do you suggest for ten minutes?

hi, nice to see a comment from someone. Maybe 2 min. Is too short, and you would need to try longer. But I think I have found something much better. I just wrote a short story for the site. Try to stop eating any salt for at least 1week. Incl. Sodium bicrarb, magnesium or whatever salt you might be taking. At least I think, that helped me to clear it after 1 week. read my story under desaltifying.
