Recently I was told by a Holistic Health practitioner that an herbal formula called, Zyflamend was great for arthritis.I was surprised that within 2 days I felt a dramatic difference, my pain was taken from an 8 on the pain scale to about a 3! What a blessing! I use 2 zyflamend a day and when my pain is really bad I use 3-4. I also read online that Zyflamend has been studied by Columbia University on Prostate Cancer. I guess when you calm inflammation a lot of good things happen in the body.

EC: Reported Side Effects for Zyflamend include heart palpitations and dizziness. Please research before you buy!

My father has been taking your lemon-bicarbonate formula for 20 days and also some (little) potassium bicarbonate and citric acid. You remember that the doctor told him he had prostate cancer, his PSA level were extremely high. He also has been taking for three months some pills that the doctor gave him and an injection every three months, a sort of hormone suppressant. Well he just tested and his PSA is normal. The doctor was surprised and told, I quote: "so it was not cancer but just an infection". What I understand from his word that their medicines are not supposed to do this, so I really think it was the lemon-bicarbonate plus potassium that worked, we hadn't even started the cesium yet! Thank you so much Ted, D

[The following email has been excerpted from a emailed dialogue between one of readers and Ted. The full Q&A text can be found on Low Immunity cures page.] Thank you again Ted, I have good news to report. My brother, after only a few days on lemon-bicarbonate twice a day says that his phlebitis is practically gone (not only better). He has suffered with this leg's vein for three years and tried everything but after just 4-5 days of this remedy his pain is completely gone, he feels the vein "fresh" vs the "fire" he felt before. He cannot believe it... My mother who is 74 and has a lot of problems is feeling much better too. She didn't have any appetite, most of the times she wouldn't have dinner just because she didn't feel like eating (she also has memory loss, stomach problems, always exhausted, what seems a chronic cough etc.) after the same amount of days she says she is very hungry and that she can be active all day long. She is having three meals a day now!! Thank you so much for this really healing water!!! All the best, D"

Turmeric

Try turmeric and cayenne. You can sprinkle it on your food just like a condiment. The cayenne takes the tumeric to the areas that needs it by opening up the small arterioles. For prostate cancer the dose was about 350mgs a day of cayenne, for a couple of weeks. The hotter the rating of the cayenne the better. I'm not sure of the amount of turmeric, but its easier to take than cayenne.. I've heard if you take to much it feels like mild chemo.

About your dog and the tyrosine thing, I remember doing a little reading and research on curcumin (major component of turmeric) specifically about it's anti-cancer properties, and I remembered something about being a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, so I did a little google search to refresh my memory and I found scholar articles about it (just google "curcumin inhibits tyrosoine kinase activity of epidermal growth factor receptor") you will also find articles specifically adressing it's therapeutic potential to treat prostate cancer.

Anyway... I would think that being a tyrosine inhibitor, it would do exactly what it did to your dog, but the curious thing is that a medicine called Gleevec (anti-leukimia and other types of cancer treatment) did the opposite to the patients being treated, it darkened their gray hair---this drug is precisely a tyrosine kinase inhibitor---

Sorry if I got too technical!!! LOL but I just thought it was pretty interesting... And I don't now if supplementing with tyrosine would render the turmeric mute :S

Redhead lab sounds pretty cool anyway :) good luck!

Curcumin Preparation and Bioavailability

Curcumin is getting lots of scientific interest these days. Every month additional scientific studies are published on the effects of curcumin on different biochemical pathways.

Just keep one thing in mind. The curcumin used in these laboratory studies was dissolved in alcohol or DMSO. In short, the curcumin was made soluble in certain solvents that do not translate well for introduction into the human body.

The following two papers studied the effects of 3.6 grams of oral curcumin, in capsules, on humans. The first study is quite clear that curcumin simply does not enter the body in sufficient quantities to be medically effective.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/queryd.fcgi?

In this study, oral doses of 3.6 grams of curcumin a day showed blood levels of 10nM. This is a VERY low concentration of curcumin. Yet, it was apparently enough to reduce prostaglandin E2 synthesis in colon cancer patients.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/

In order for curcumin to be maximally effective against cancer, it MUST be introduced into the body in a bioavailable form. Curcumin is almost totally insoluble in water. On the other hand, it is completely soluble in fat.

Curcumin dissolves readily in coconut milk or cream, especially if they are warm. There is NO reason to boil coconut milk or cream in order to dissolve curcumin. Never boil anything unless you are absolutely certain the heat will not damage the medicinal properties of the natural medicine. I have no idea how heat stable curcumin is for medicinal purposes. So don't boil it.

Curcumin that is dissolved in fat will be introduced into the lymphatic system with the fat. There is exactly where we want curcumin to be introduced into the body. The lymphatic fluid bathes all the tissues in the body. We are NOT interested in directly introducing it into the blood.

People complain about the taste of curcumin. So add other spices, such as turmeric, or other spices to the mix to change the taste.

How much curcumin do we need to treat cancer and leukemia? No one knows but I would recommend at least 10 grams a day, 5 grams twice a day dissolved in fat. Since curcumin is not toxic, why screw around with low doses?

You must use glutamine, at least 20 grams a day, with the curcumin to make it maximally effective. I blogged on this issue yesterday.

Stay tuned...

Prostate Cancer

Hope this is helpful. Brother-in-law had diagnosed prostate cancer. While waiting for surgery at Stanford University Hospital, he started taking Vit. D3 (don't know amount) and drinking green tea and eating "soy nuts". By the time he went to arrange last minute particulars for surgery his cancer was gone.

For a better health of a prostate, one should try beta sitosterol and the much needed nutrients which will help prostate function better. It works so well with no side effects.
